The journey begins.

Tristan had his hands on his hips, juggling pins in each hand. What in the hell? This was a two person show, not for a woman. With all her dancing and swaying and moving and gentle gliding.
Damnit.
He shook his head, nodding towards Ravish.
"That is nice," he dropped the juggling pins, something else seemed to be in order for this, "But you do know more than just one dance? Perhaps a nice gypsy fling will suit your tastes?"
At once music began again. This time more sultry and slower. (sort of like Jazz).
At once Tristant had the woman on her feet, and began to slowly dance around her. He did not do anything harsh, grinding against her, instead, he moved in careful slow steps. His hand came down the length of her body, just touching the fabric that consumed her.
Then, at once, his sword was out. It wasn't a threat, gypsy men usually danced with their swords. Culture is always the foremount for a wonderous relationship.
Dropping to one knee, he held the sword out to her, thus ending his part of the dance. Now it was her turn, if she knew what to do.
A twinkle in her eye said she did.

Rhia:

So the scared rabbit had a name afterall. He was so nervous, that he could barely speak, and Rhia felt sorry for him.

"It's nice to meet you, Jornan. Welcome."

Taking the last bite of fish from her knife, she wiped the blade clean on her breeches and slid it back into it's sheath. She stretched, her arms above her head and her feet reaching toward the fire.

She was unaware of the sensual nature of her actions, unaware of her beauty. She sat, gazing into the dying fire, her knees drawn up and her arms around them. She was comfortable in the silence, but could feel Jornan's nervousness through the space between them.

Turning her head to him, she spoke softly. "I'm going back to my bedroll, I'll be keeping watch tonight. You should get some sleep."

She stood up, checked her knife again, and moved off. Sinking to the ground next to Evelyn, she felt Jornan's eyes on her again. She ignored him, plaiting her red hair into one long braid and tying it with a leather thong that had been tied to her belt.

Leaning back against a tree, she took up her whittling knife and piece of wood, and began to carve once more... aware that Jornan continued to watch her.

His belly full and his head resting on his pack, Ramok drifted in and out of sleep. It was a skill he had learned over years of wandering the lands, enabling him to both rest and keep and eye on his surroundings. For now, all seemed to be well. Rhia still seemed a bit nervous about the unseen stranger. Well, as long as the stranger didn't bother them, Ramok was just as happy to leave him alone. After all, the Wastelands were full of people who didn't want to be found... Jornan's soft voice drifted over the dying fire, stuttering as usual. Chuckling at the weird kid's nervousness, Ramok drifted back to sleep.

kaos

"thats it," Kaos stated,"I am just gonna go up there and meet these people...but what about you, wolfy?" Kaos had given up on relaxing when he noticed the female dancer start up again, he couldn't figure out what the clown was doing, but wasn't going to miss the dancer again. After some thought, Kaos decided to just stand up see what the wolf was going to do...."hey wolfy...i ain't here to hurt no one so don't eat me okay..."....

Max:

Max lay still, watching this strange human. First, he'd thought Max had come begging for food, and now he thought Max wanted to eat him? Max didn't need humans to feed him, and he certainly didn't want to eat them.

His mistress had asked him to watch, and that's what he was doing.

Kaos

Kaos had gotten up with no response from the wolf, other than a cock of the head. "You ain't that bad wolfy," Kaos said as he walked over to the wolf and patted him on the head,"I am going up there okay?"
With that Kaos headed toward the fire gathering. Little more than ten feet out he managed to step on a twig, with a loud
-crack-
He froze and waited...."Did they notice?? Well, of course they did idiot...."

Rhia:

Rhia came to her feet in one fluid motion. Her knife was in her hand as if it had materialized there, and she crouched, waiting.

She whistled softly for Max.

Max:

That human had patted his head! No human but his mistress was to touch him! It's a good thing Max doesn't eat humans, he thought.

He watched the man walk away, toward where his Mistress was.

Just as he lay his head on his paws to rest, he heard his Mistress whistle, and this time, he ran until he was at her side. Hackles raised, teeth bared, he waited next to her.

Kaos

"uh..uh...uh....oh crap!!!!!" Kaos jumped back in totoal shock and fear..."i ain't gonna hurt no one...i was just sitting out there observing...i..i..don't even have any weapons..." He felt really dumb for acting so scared of a woman, but he had never seen such grace befor and he didn't want to upset her any more...
"So uh....My name is Kaos....Kaos Star....and yours??....

Rhia:

Rhia stood out of her crouch, her knife still held ready. She glared at the man who'd walked into her camp.

"Sitting alone, here, with no weapons, and deciding to walk into a strange camp at night?" She peered at him more closely, bringing her knife in front of his face. "You're either lying, or stupid."

She sheathed her knife, knowing he would relax and that Max would let no harm come to her.

Max:

Max stood quietly at his mistress' side, he watched the man he'd been watching before. The man hadn't seen him yet, he was afraid of mistress. Humans were afraid of mistress a lot.

When mistress put her shiny thing away, Max knew he needed to watch her too. He growled at the human just to scare him. He liked scaring humans when mistress thought it was ok.

Jornan:

She greeted him and they sat in silence for a moment as she finished the fish that he hadn't been bold enough to take for himself, he hesitantly looked over at her, his lips parting. Something about the way she ate did something he didn't understand to him and he looked down, a slight look of surprise crossed his face before he held his hands to conceal his body's odd reaction to her. "You're really pretty..." The words were on Jornan's lips, but he just sat there mutely. A moment later she stretched, and his 'reaction' only got worse at the sight of it. He was sure he was breathing heavy, and he tried to stop, but that only made him breath heavier. What was he going to do? He must have looked really stupid and he couldn't stop blushing... She stood up then, and his eyes were drawn to the movement, BIG mistake! She spoke, saying she was going to keep watch and that he should get some sleep. He'd let out a small squeek in the middle of her words as he felt a disturbing, hot, gushing sensation under his hands as he tried to hide his thingy... She didn't seem to notice any of it and all he could do was blush wordlessly.

Things seemed to flash by after that, the next thing he became aware of was a really strange, sticky, unpleasent fluid inside his pants. He looked down and frowned. Then he looked back over to the woodsy girl, connecting her to this weird happening within his mind and he gave her a strange look, which she'd caught sight of... He was so embaraced, he wouldn't have minded crawling away just then and hiding...

Then someone else, someone new came into sight and the woodsy woman shot to her feet, a wolf coming to her side.

Jornan just sat there, too shocked to even move. Words were exchanged, but he didn't hear them, his pulse was thrumming in his ears.

He wasn't sure how much time had passed before he regained enough composure where he could move and not look like a moron. He was about to stand up but when he finally moved his folded hands away from where he'd had them folded he saw a wet mark seeped through his trousers. His heart lept into his throat. "Ohhh..." He moaned softly, looking up and about for but a second before he folded his hands over it again. He nearly paniced. "Shit... This is embarasing..." He thought, and he NEVER swore, not even in his thoughts...

Kaos

"well, maybe i am lying, maybe not...but i will say that no harm will come to anyone by my hand," Kaos said to the woman,"anyway, my name is Kaos, and i still don't know yours.."
Kaos had calmed back down and went on into to camp and sat by the fire after deciding that the woman wasn't going to do anything to him. Now settled he looked around and counted about 9 or 10 people and thought "man i wonder what the big occasion is??"

Evelyn

Asleep on Rhia's pack, a cloak wrapped around her, Evelyn became lost in her dream. She saw people she didn't know. Creatures of unproportional size. Mountains that seem to take you right into the clouds. Forrests, plains, small villages. She didn't know where the dream was taking her, and she remained unaware of the happenings around her.

All of a sudden, Evelyn woke with a start and felt the sudden urge to scream out. She covered her mouth but not before a definate piercing scream came out. She looked frightened, and started to cry. She didn't like what she saw in her dream.

Kaos

"Whoa...what the heck...," Kaos said, jumping back from the awoken lady. Once he noticed what must have happened, Kaos went to her side to see if she was okay.
"Are you okay, ma'am? I am Kaos, i won't harm you, but you startled me and now you shed tears....is everything okay?"
Kaos sat next to her and waited.....

Evelyn

She felt someone was close to her, and thinking it was Rhia she reached out and wraped her arms around their waist. The strong arms that held her back weren't Rhia's, but Evelyn didn't care. It had been so long since she let her emotions get out of control, so long since someone took her into their arms, letting her know everything would be ok.

But everything was not ok. She pulled back and looked into a strangers eyes. They were relaxed but she could see rage hidden deep within them.

Hiccuping, she thanked him quietly and composed herself, smoothing out her dress and running her fingers through her hair. A pang of regret washed over her as she remembered her mother cutting her hair, hoping to make her look like a boy as their town was ravaged. Evelyn looked around and assured everyone she was ok, just a bad dream and wanted to know if there was any more fish.

Kaos

Kaos hugged the woman back and held onto her for a moment, hopeing to calm her. "You wil be fine, i am sure you are around friends," Kaos told her. Just then she tore away from him as if he was the plague or so he felt. Feeling everyone looking at him he stated aloud," I wasn't going to hurt her, just comfort her, she will be fine....my name is Kaos, Kaos Star, nice to meet you all."
This said, Kaos slumped down in front of the fire to relax, but kept his eye on the woman who had hugged him....

OOC:: edited for spelling, i don't like errors and i happened to catch this one....

Rhia:

Rhia tensed as this new stranger went to Evelyn's side. Her grip on her knife tightened, and she knew if he harmed her, she'd kill him without thought.

Evelyn wrapped her arms around his waist, but then pulled back in shock. That reaction was enough to tell Rhia that any trust put in this man was ill placed. She'd watch him, with her own eyes and those of Max.

She lay her hand on the big wolf's head, knowing he'd do his part.

The intruder, Kaos?, slumped in front of the fire, looking as if he was settling in. He didn't remove his eyes from Evelyn though, and the intensity of his gaze made his relaxed posture a lie.

Rhia walked over to Evelyn, sitting next to her. She handed her a rag from her pack to wipe her face, and sat quietly. Once her friend had composed herself, Rhia looked into her eyes. "Evelyn, if that man so much as looks at you in a way you don't like, you are to tell me. Do you understand? Max will watch him, and I'm watching him. Ramok will watch him too. I don't want you going anywhere without one of us three with you. Understood?"

Max:

Mistress was tense. She was thinking like a she-wolf with a pup in danger. Max's hackles rose, and his amber gaze locked on this human who was making everyone act like a fire was coming.

Mistress lay her hand on his head and he knew she wanted him to watch close and quiet. But she wanted him to act too. This man was prey.

Mistress left his side and went to her friend who always smelled sad and lost. Max loved her too, almost as much as he loved his mistress.

He showed his big Wolf teeth to the man he was watching, and went to sit by the two women. He lay his head on the sad woman's lap and licked her hand. His hot, predator gaze never left the man he was watching. He was a good Wolf, he could watch forever.

Ramok watched this new development in silent amusement. To the others he appeared to be asleep, but he had been wide awake since the twig snap. He lay where he was, eyelids closed, breathing deeply to mimick sleep. At the same time, he could hear, smell, and even see (through a a small crack between his eyelids) all that occured around him. This was another one of his skills. In case of trouble, it was always to one's advantage to remain inconspicuous. After all, it was much easier to kill enemies when they didn't pay any attention to you.

As it was, this was playing out like an ammateur melodrama. They had the mysterious stranger, the innocent damsel with a tragic past, and the over-protective mother-figure. Ramok chuckled to himself. Still, they were right to distrust this stranger. He had an air of nervousness around him, though it was probably a smokescreen...Yes, he was an enigma. Any fool with half a brain would know better than to wander into a strange camp during night. Like a thief or cutthroat. Anyone who valued his life would know better than that. He would have to keep an eye on this man at all times. If he had learned anything in the Wastelands, it was that no one was who he appeared to be.

Rhia:

Evelyn nodded her understanding, and Rhia got to her feet. She knew Ramok wasn't really sleeping over there, the man was never sleeping. He was probably laughing at her right now.

She turned and moved toward his bed roll. Nudging him with her foot as she walked past, she moved away from the group and into the woods.

Ramok feigned sleep for fifteen more minutes. Finally, he got up, stretched, and pretended to survey his surroundings. He already knew what he would see - a burntout fire, a motley crew of travelers, some sleeping and some awake, and a single tame wolf keeping watch.

Picking up his bow, Ramok pretended to set off on another hunt. He left camp, going the opposite way from where he had watched Rhia enter the woods. He was hesitant to leave his companions alone with the strangers, though Max would probably keep them safe. Still, he never placed his faith in other people, much less dumb animals. This had better be good!

Once out of sight, Ramok circled the camp. He finally reached a small clearing where he knew Rhia would be waiting for him. There she was - leaning on a gnarled tree, impatience plain in her face. "Well, what is it that you wanted to see me about?"

Kaos

Finnally able to calm down, Kaos withdrew his napsack from his pack and layed it out. He was tired and ready to sleep. "Well, if you all don't mind i am gonna take a little nap and I will see you all in the morning," Kaos said to all that were awake. His thoughts were running crazy, wondering if the young lady was okay. But, unfortunatly he didn't seem all that welcome here, maybe that would change by the morning. "Goodnight travelers"

Rhia:

Rhia made her way to a clearing and leaned on a tree, arms and legs crossed. She knew Ramok would take his own sweet time meeting her, but she was prepared to wait.

Finally, he walked into the clearing, looking as if he was simply out for a stroll. Rhia hated that he always looked at ease within his own skin. Well, except when she proved a better hunter. She smiled to herself.

"Well, what is it that you wanted to see me about?"

"You are the best tracker amongst us. Could you trace this man's path and return to us by the morrow when we camp? I know we welcome travellers, Ramok. But there's something very much wrong about this particular character." She watched his face, and broke in before he could speak. "Don't concern yourself with our safety. Max will follow us, and I will be watching. No one has yet dodged my arrows once I let them fly."

Ramok smiled broadly at the woman standing before him. It was always good to know that his skills were in such high demand. Still, he was already a step ahead of her.

"I already checked his campsite out on my way here. Nothing there but dead embers and some bread crumbs. No tracks either. No footprints, no scent, nothing...Either he's extremely adept at covering his tracks, or he came out of nowhere."

Rhia looked puzzled.

He continued, "Look, I'm saying there's no way to track his path. He could be a master ranger, though judging by his clumsy approach....Hmmm, could be some kind of trick. A show put on for our benefit. There's definately more to him than we know. I'll wager ten pounds of deerflesh that Kaos ain't his real name. And that he's been watching us for quite some time. I say we keep an a real good watch over him while he's around."

Kaos

Kaos Star just lay there on the ground, unable to sleep, unable to get over the overwhelming feeling of distrust put toward him.
Looking up, he noticed that the wolf lady had vanished along with the sleeping guy...he looked around to see if they were near but he couldn't tell. After trying to spot the two travelers he gave up and lay back down, and just stared at the wolf that had once again began to stare at him, thinking...'what is your deal?'

Shakira watched the man dance and when he touched her it caused her blood to boil. When he stopped and waited his gaze holding hers she sucked in a deep breath then smiled a slow seductive smile. She would show him what she was made up. Slowly her hid began as undulating motion as she twirled around him her gaze never leaving his. She hooked a leg around his hips and rolled her hips against his her back arching and her head falling back. She sat up slowly and once against twirled away her gaze challenging as she awaited his next move.
