The journey begins.

Evelyn

Evelyn listened intently, as an obedient child, and nodded because it was appropriate. Now that she was under control of her emotions again, her shyness returned and she let her head drop down to the pillow, using the cape as a blanket once more. Only her eyes remained uncovered and she watched Rhia walk away. Ramok soon followed, leaving Max as guard. They said Kaos was bad, but Evelyn saw something in him that the others refused to notice. It would save them all in the end.

She could feel peacefullness beginning to take over again, and for the second time that night she dreamed of their fates.

Ravish had changed from his performing clothes into his more formal attire. Mostly leather and loose cloth. It felt good to be able to relax and not let the world see what one was born with. The way some people stared... idiots.
He moved his horses and pack away from the camp, knowing that they shouldn't mix. He had seen it before, campers taking their stuff. It wouldn't happen. Besides, it was an easy way to see what they had for a camp.
Apparently, it wasn't much.
He would hit Tristan for this.
Tristan on the other hand, let a huge grin cross his face. So, she knew the dance after all. Very well, he could tell her triaining in dance was immense. He was born with gypsies, and she made him look like an amateur.
Did she know that they were doing a mating dance though? Maybe she did. That smile on her face certainly showed she wouldn't be completely embarrased with the idea.
He danced around her, his sword laying on her shoulder. Slowly, he brought it to her neck, and let it slide across the skin. It didn't break though, but to anyone else seeing, they would have cringed with fear.
He took it away, finishing his turn. Then, he let the sword twirl in the air. End over end. Then, as if by magic, he caught the blade, the hilt of the sword staring directly at her.
He saw her hands enclose around it.
"Big finale," he nearly panted. Tristan hadn't realized how much of a workout this had been. Not just remembering the specifics of the dance, but performing them as well.
He let go of the sword, as she held it inches from his chest.
His eyes sparkled like the dying embers of the fire.

Kaos

By now Kaos had given up on the wolf and lost in the gypsies dancing on the stage. He was total lost in their erotic dancing and when the man ran his sword accross her neck, Kaos about freaked out, but he quickly realized that it was all part of the show. Kaos had also noticed that Evelyn had finally gone back to sleep, he was worried about her, but he would hide his concern for fear of retribution from the others, instead he just watched the dancers and wondered if anyone else freaked out about that little sword trick of the gypsies. Although, he did wonder where Ramok and Rhia had gone to, he of course assumed that they must be lovers or something...just needing some time alone...looking over in Jornan's direction he wondered if everything was okay with him after his little outburst earlier.
And yet all the while, that damn wolf never once took his eyes off of Kaos. "God you make me paranoid," but he was used to that...he new how to make it usefull for him......

Rhia:

Rhia rolled her eyes when Ramok grinned at her. She almost regretted admitting to him that his tracking skills were unsurpassable. The man's ego needed no stroking.

"Ok. So we'll assume that he's either very strange, very stupid, or very knowledgeable in the ways of the forest. None of those sit well with me, but it's all we have." Rhia smiled, "And I won't take that bet, because few of us are travelling under our given names, I'm not giving you ten pounds of haunch just so you can say 'I told you so'."

Moving along...

OOC: i know its not my thread, but i think things ought to move on, so im making the sun rise! (oouu such power!!)

Evelyn awoke to a bustling campsite. People were moving around everywhere, fixing breakfast, putting away bedrolls, talking amongst themselves. Lifting her hands above her head, Evelyn gave a little stretching sigh. She looked around for Rhia, noticing Max sitting close by and thought perhaps Rhia had gone fishing again.

Looking up she saw Kaos smiling at her. "Good-morning" he said.

"I hope it will be" she replied. Evelyn stood and asked "Am I to assume that we are leaving?"

Ramok continued smiling at the woman. He knew that it drove her mad at times. That was the only reason he did it, really. Gods knew he wasn't in a jolly mood! A dull emptiness in his belly screamed for constant attention, and here he was - wasting precious time and energy!

"See you later." he said, already moving back into the woods. "I saw some promising badger tracks on my way here. Why don't you make yourself useful and get us some grub? Better yet, send that pup of yours out hunting. All he does is eat and shit..." He was gone before she could reply.

Rhia:

Rhia's hands tightened to fists at her sides as Ramok walked away. Make herself useful? Bastard. As if she hadn't fed them all last night. The man was infuriating.

Taking a deep breath, promising herself that she wasn't going to waste her energy getting angry at that man today, Rhia noticed the sky was lightening. Morning was coming, and it promised to be a long day.

On the way back to camp, she picked berries. She knew Ramok preferred meat, but berries were more practical if they were moving on today, and the irritation he would feel brought a smile to Rhia's face.

She walked in to a camp that was already bustling with activity and dropped her bag of berries on the ground. "Breakfast is here." She saw Jornan still sitting where he'd been last night. He looked extremely uncomfortable, and kept fidgeting. She smiled at him, hoping to make him feel at ease. "Are you alright Jornan? Is there anything I can do to help you?"

Jornan mumbled something that Rhia couldn't quite hear, and jumped up, making his way quickly to his horse, and then the woods.

Shrugging her shoulders, she walked to her pack. She rummaged through it, making sure everything was accounted for. Looking off across the meadow, she whistled shrilly.

In the distance a horse whinnied, and came charging toward her. Rhia grinned as he drew near. 'Gods he's a magnificent creature', she thought. And he was. His coat was the color of oiled steel, his mane and tail startlingly white. He halted before her, whickering softly. Rhia's head barely reached his shoulder. She stroked his muzzle softly. Looking around at everyone else, she decided she had enough time for a quick bath before they were ready to move on.

Jornan had just sat there, this entire time, rooted to his spot as all the action went by, he couldn't even move, for fear someone would see the mess he'd made of his pants. When the action lulled, he looked about, nervously, and got up, shooting over to Albert. "Ah! I need to get out of here..." He whispered, hotly embaraced as he felt the wetness, cold now, move against his thingy. He didn't like it at all... "I need to wash first..." He thought aloud as he snuck off with albert, looking for a body of water, any water at all.

Kaos

Finally able to fall asleep, Kaos was rather pissed when the sun arose. Rubbing his eyes and adjusting to the new brightness, he sat up and looked around. He noticed that the rest of the travelers had already awoken and he cursed himself for being a late sleeper. He looked over toward Evelyn and smiled.
"Goodmorning, did you sleep okay?," Kaos asked, "No more bad dreams last night, I hope." That said, Kaos stood and dusted off his nap sack and packed it back into his bag, also pulling out some crackers and some more bread. "I am fine with this," He said to himself,"Let them have the other stuff." He noticed Rhia horse and decided maybe he should call his own to see if it was still out there waiting for him. He walked a few feet from camp and yelled "Midnight....COME" And after a couple of moments, a shimmering black horse came galloping out of the forest and stop directly in front of Kaos. "Ahh...good horse," he said as he climb up into the saddle. "So where is everyone going....?"

OOC: so it's morning now? ok

IC: Shakira awoke the next morning and stretched. She smiled as she remembered the night before and her partner in dance. No one had been able to keep up with her before let alone set her blood on fire with a single touch. She wondered where he was, his friend had pulled him away after the dance and she had trouble hiding her disappointment. Now she climbed out of bed, dressed and went outside. People were milling around some talking about the festivities of the night before, others recovering from to much drink. She looked around for Tristan but did not see him. She hoped he hadn't left yet, something about him really seemed right to her. Sighing she headed for the bathing area ready to start a new day.

Ramok returned to camp, the badger flesh already cut into strips. Retrieving his pack, he took out a large jar containing a small amount of brine. He stuffed the meat inside, giving the jar a vigorous shake. Well, that took care of dinner...now, about breakfast.

Looking around, he noticed Rhia's bag resting on the ground, the tantalizing scent of berries wafting out of it. Making sure nobody was looking, he stealthily made his way to the bag, dipping his hands in... Before a minute had passed, half the berries were gone, and Ramok felt his hunger pangs receeding. Sighing with happiness, he went back to his pack and started sharpening his daggers. Another long day, another journey...

Rhia:

Rhia hurried down a path throught the woods. When she'd been fishing last night, she'd found the perfect swimming hole. The water was bound to be cold, but a girl could only go so long without a bath.

Stopping at the edge of the pool, Rhia undressed, leaving her clothing in a pile on the bank. She bent, digging around in her pack for her soap, and jumped into the water. She surfaced, laughing and gasping from the cold. She scrubbed herself quickly and tossed her soap to shore. Then she dove down into the cold water, kicking toward the bottom.

She surfaced behind a small waterfall and stood on a stone ledge. Throwing her head back, she reveled int the water coursing down her body.

Jornan:

Drawing away from full veiw, Jornan shyly watched Rhia slip into the cold water. The water that had made him shrivel up the instant it had touched him. How she could laugh about it was a wonder to him, it made him feel miserable, miserable and vulnerable, she drew past him, only feet away as she went under the small waterfall. He didn't know how she missed sighting him... Just knew that her full breasts, even through the chill water that caressed his thingy, just the sight of them made him feel the same odd sensations he had before. He swallowed hard, praying he did not make a fool of himself, and perhaps even make it through this without her even noticeing him. It was then, that he found he couldn't contain a LOUD sneeze. He cursed himself after the fact...

Max:

Max stretched and gave a big Wolf yawn as everyone began waking up. He made sure all his teeth showed when he yawned, just in case anyone looked his way. Max was proud of his teeth.

He trotted to the woods and sniffed around the edge. He was hungry and was hoping for a mouse or rabbit. Nothing. Max sighed. Then he saw Ramok coming into camp carrying MEAT(!).

Max walked slowly to Ramok, head down, playing the submissive animal. It made him grin, so he kept his head down even lower. Ramok liked to be the toughest alpha male, and Max really wanted a piece of that meat. He lay on his back in front of Ramok, paws in the air, exposing his belly.

Rhia:

"AHHH-CHOO!"

Rhia's eyes popped open and she looked around frantically. Angrily, she noticed the jeweled handle of her knife glinting in the sun on the bank. How could she have been so stupid to leave it behind?

She jumped from the ledge she'd been standing on to the bank, landing in a crouch and looking around. Obviously, who ever was watching her wasn't exactly a master hunter, that sneeze had been LOUD. But, she was prepared to fight, as always. Even if she had left her knife on the bank. Giving herself another mental kick, she stood up and peered around her.

She moved toward her clothing and her knife, her eye on her surroundings. She grabbed her knife up off the ground and turned slowly in a circle. She spotted him in the water, trying to hide behind a rock. The current kept pushing him out from behind it. It was Jornan.

Not even thinking of her nakedness, Rhia raised a hand to him, smiling. "Good morning Jornan! Enjoying a bath too, I see." Not giving him another thought, she retrieved her clothes, slipped into her breeches and shirt and tied her hair back at her nape.

"Jornan, we'll be moving on soon. If you're joining us, you should hurry." She called this last over her shoulder as she walked back toward camp. On the way, she gathered up the snares she'd set the night before. Three rabbits. Ah well, if Ramok had managed the badger, they'd at least all eat tonight. She only hoped they didn't pick up many more people along the way.

Kaos

Wanting to waste alittle time, Kaos reached into his pack and grabbed his horse brush and gently ran it through Midnight's course mane. The horse stretched and nieghed in appreciation and after a few strokes, Kaos pulled out some grain for him too.
Midnight gladly ate the grain from Kaos's hand. He was a good horse. After all that, Kaos just laid down across Midnight's neck and relaxed, waiting to find out where these travelers were heading...

Ramok laughed at the wolf. Damn that little beggar. Uncapping the jar, he took out a 10-inch strip of meat. "Here, boy." He looked around to make sure nobody saw him feed the wolf. He sure as hell didn't need others thinking of him as a charitable old fool. "Let's keep this our little secret, hmmm?"

Jornan:

Swallowing hard, not even able to bring himself to a reply, Jornan rubbed at his nose as he lowered his head, he'd tried not to look at Rhia's nakedness but had caught a flash, and the image would not go away, it was as though it had been burned into the backs of his eyelids. She picked up and left, and he stood there in the water, trying to think.

Finally, he picked up and followed back to the camp, riding up on Blackmane's back. There, he waited for when the camp was ready to leave, he wasn't sure what they were going to do, or where they were going, he just had this sence that he was ment to go with them. Or maybe he just couldn't stop seeing the image of Rhia naked...

OOC: Sorry everyone, but I have to bow out of this thread. Don't worry, I won't leave you hanging.

IC: Evelyn continued to watch the bustle of everyones movement. She stood, shook out her dress and slowly walked backwards, disapearing into the forest.

Max:

Max swallowed the strip of meat, only keeping it in his mouth long enough to tell that it was badger. One of his favorites! Maybe this male human wasn't so bad after all.

Waving his paws in the air, Max rolled on the ground a bit before jumping up and woofing his thanks.

He stood looking around the camp, impatient to be on the move again. He was a Wolf. Wolves liked to move on.

Rhia:

Rhia strode back into camp. She nearly laughed out loud when she saw Ramok 'sneaking' a piece of meat to Max. Now there was something to file away and think about. She quickly turned away before Ramok could see that she'd seen.

She walked over to her horse, running her hand over him, checking for lameness, or anything else amiss. He was, as always, in perfect shape. Instead of a saddle, she placed a belt around the horse and hung her pack and bedroll from it on one side, her bow, quiver and knives on the other. It was the only piece of tack the horse wore, and more than Rhia would have liked.

Finally, she checked her hunting knife to make sure it was safely in its sheath, but accessible. She touched her horse on the knee, "Down." With the soft command, the horse knelt, Rhia climbed onto his back, and he stood. She smiled, unable to hide her happiness at being on a horse. Guiding him with her legs, she turned to face the rest of the group.

"Are we moving on, or what?"

Ramok:

"Ready any time you are." Ramok checked to make sure all his belongings were securely packed away. He didn't have a horse, and didn't need one. His companions never rode fast anyway. Plus, walking on his own two feet had its advantages - he could easily leave the group to track down a couple animals, weaving in and out of the forests. "Let's move out before the sun really starts to heat things up."

"Actually," Tristan examined a pinecone in his hand. Weighing it, and examining it as if it were made of crystal. He nodded, seemingly satisfied at the pinecone's results.
"We're going to have a steady wind from the east that will bring a light storm in tonight. The temperature's won't get too high. I'd say it'd be a cool day followed by some light showers this evening, which will clear up tomorrow morning."
He let the pinecone fly up into the air, dropping back down to the earth, his eyes sparkled with brilliance.
"I can't get any more specific. Damn things are stubborn today."
Ravish, back in his formal clothes, drew forth their small wagon. Nothing big, but it was filled with tons of things that were odd or strange.
Hopping up to the front bench along with his partner.
"The nearest town of Pondfell is a few day's ride to the east. By the track's it looked like your headed in that general direction. We're just hoping to get to more people ourselves. So, it looks like we might be travelling companions after all."

Kaos

"Well....that sounds like a good place to go...if it is alright with everyone, I imagine I will travel along," Kaos said, glad that he knew where this group was heading. Oddly enough that happened to be just where he was heading, looking foward to the massive tavern in the town square. He only hoped that Evelyne would be taking the same path. He had become rather attached to her presence ever since last night when she hugged him...he felt something he had not had the oppornity to feel in his twenty-nine years of life....pure, real, friendship and he hoped to make more of it befor the chance slid by. He watched her slip into the forest and looked around hopeing no one noticed him and slid out into the forest after her. 'Hope her friend will stay away for now,' he thought....

Rhia:

Rhia rolled her eyes. "Thank you for the weather prediction. Can we get going now?"

She turned her horse, and started off. The others would catch up, and she was impatient to be moving.

Kaos

OOC: oops i just reak lady violet's last post over again and realized what she meant....duh......so..anyway

IC: Seeing Rhia start to leave, Kaos nudged Midnight on and caught up with her quite easily and hoped everyone else would follow suit...looking forward for a chance to meet them all alittle better. He was almost even with Rhia when he noticed her knife glisten in the sunlight and a look that seemed to immediatly say "Back Off." Deciding not to get to close to her just yet he slowed his pace a bit so that there was greater distance between him and Rhia. "Pretty good wolf you got there. Minds well," he said to her, doubting any response but not wanting to ride in total silence....
