The Last Daughter of Krypton OOC

John has a symbiotic link with London. They are each a part of each other.

Seeing pictures like this, remembering walking its streets, Harrod's, Big Ben, Westminster, Piccadilly...

I am very very jealous of John Constantine.

Kinda fond of Harrod's, myself.

They have things there that you really can't get anywhere else.

Thank goodness for the internet, FedEx, and expedited shipping!

"Silence" - Lara Fabian

I've learned so much
After these years of despair
And nothing in touch
With the deepest side of my pain
Although I can't say
There's nothing there
Not even a dream to share

Are you familiar?
Or should I show you around?
It's a cold room
With nothing inside
Not a sound
But to be amazed What stillness can do
It will bring you back to you

Silence (Silence)
Is the moment between everyone
Is the best friend you have in the world
That moment in time
Will help you to survive
Silence
Now that you've seen it
You don't need to go back at all
And when you feel that
Cold room inside
Stand tall
You will embrace it
As you recall
It made you stronger after all

Silence (Silence) Is the moment between everyone
Is the best friend you have in the world
That moment in time
Will help you to survive
Silence
Silence
Let your consciousness finally be heard
It's unconscious
But you'll hear the burst
The voice inside will bring you back to life

(Silence, silence)
It's the moment in time
(Silence, silence)
Silence (Silence, silence)
Let it be

"Remember When It Rained" - Josh Groban

Wash away the thoughts inside
That keep my mind away from you.
No more love and no more pride
And thoughts are all I have to do.

Ohhhhhh Remember when it rained.
Felt the ground and looked up high
And called your name.
Ohhhhhh Remember when it rained.
In the darkness I remain.

Tears of hope run down my skin.
Tears for you that will not dry.
They magnify the one within
And let the outside slowly die.

Ohhhhhh Remember when it rained.
I felt the ground and looked up high
And called your name.
Ohhhhhh Remember when it rained.
In the water I remain
Running down
Running down
Running down
Running down
Running down
Running down
Running down

I was there, once.

It was cramped, and it was expensive, and the clerks were snippy, and you had to pay to use the loo.

But! Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere" used it as a location for The Floating Market, and thus it will always be a landmark with a special place in my heart.

Well, then, I shall make it a point to NOT visit Harrod's the next time I'm in London.

I will, however, be making the train ride to this place: the Little Wested House

Neiman-Marcus is similar to Harrod's, from what I've heard. It's well known that I've spent way too much time (and way too much money!) in that place. I kinda like how the dote over you when you go in to get fitted for a suit. It's nice to have the butt kissed occasionally.

Awww.

And there was a goose, and Peter Rabbit, and some other quaint little farm animals.

Awww.
