My only issue with it is that Thor would so screw up the power base of the thread so badly it would become the favored son of Odin instead of The Last Daughter of Krypton. One really shouldn't overshadow the main aspect of the story should we?

No, no, of course not.

Maybe this version of The Thunder God is powered more akin to the version that appeared on the "Hulk" TV show? No less spectacular to behold, but he won't be chucking tanks from The Rockies to The Andes anytime soon.

Or maybe he's got Odinpower restraining the full exercise of his power whilst on fair Midgard? I mean, in the Kirby telling of things, wasn't Thor sent down here to teach him humility anyways?

Certain themes of this thread will never take a backseat to any other occurring plot arcs. While Smallville certainly capitalized on the ability to play out several different plots, ultimately the thread will revolve around Kara and her destiny.

For all intents and purposes, there will be no fights against Doomsday or Darkseid.

I see this thread as sort of being like Zeno's Paradox. We will constantly chase the future, but never reach it. There will be hints a-plenty, questions by the fistful, echoes of a future that may well be...

But future it remains, and here is us, on the raggedy edge betwixt past and present.

I have a tendency to get carried away with things. But my cameo appearances-- Hugh "Tasmanian Devil" Hawkins, f'rinstance --are always ever only intended to be foreshadowing to this unreachable future.

M'onel has a destiny a thousand years in the future, but I doubt we'll ever see that.

Emil has been influenced by terrible forces, but these will not come to fruition until after Kara is Supergirl, and are thus part of the unreachable destiny.

I know who Jamie is, now. I know who he really is. He's finally told me. But unless there's some kind of crazy epilogue after the dust is settled and all is said and done, I'll never tell.

I get carried away with stuff. But I know where we are, and that's in a place of Not Yet.

I had intended on playing the character as a minor role. Thor, well, is Thor, and there's not much that can be done with that. My intent was not to usurp anyone, or upstage your characters, or any of that kind of stuff. I felt Thor would be more of a character of discovery, and would assist only when the stakes were such that a hero of his stature and magnitude would be necessary.

I was thinking of correlations between the Kryptonian language and Viking Runes, of which would undoubtedly be discovered on Mjolnir as well as Dr. Blake's gnarly old walking stick. Relationships would undoubtedly also exist between the denizens of Asgard and the Amazons. An intertwining of the Phantoms from the Zone and the minions of Loki. The possible storylines are endless.

Smallville, which we seem to borrow heavily from, has introduced characters that are way more powerful than Clark. Still, the story there is about Superman, and that is plainly evident. This is the same issue, as Tears pointed out, that this thread carries: it is about Kara and her destiny, and all the things she interacts with and encounters on that journey. In my posts with my characters I am constantly referring to that very thing while keeping different subplots and storylines alive. I think I have very much shown my ability to retain the essence of this thread while portraying extremely powerful characters (like Zod and Martian Manhunter).

However, I am immediately and forthwith withdrawing said character from the thread.

My post earlier this morning was not meant to criticize anyone, as I personally feel that this thread has far exceeded any of my previous hopes/expectations. Every character, post, word and letter is worth reading, and I have absolutely no problem with new characters being introduced.
