The Last of Us - Ep 3

I always forget about Bruce Staley, because Druckman hogs the lime light, but yes, I recall some of the details you have reminded me of in the game history. I played through the first game many times, including once on grounded (Never thought I'd beat Ellie's bloater in the mine with David, and then there was David himself, which was next level), but I played through TLoU2 only one time, and we all know the many issues with story decisions there, even if it was the most beautiful PTSD simulator ever made. Yes, Druckman isn't so good when he's not grounded (no pun intended...okay, it totally was intended!). Still, I think the tv series is good, since it's only entertainment, and it's not bad in my opinion, but episode 3 had many issues that that were clearly overlooked, or people weren't willing to tap the writers on the shoulder and say that maybe they needed to change a few things.

To those who didn't play the game, what did you think of Joel's trolley problem ending?
Does he die in the game? I sort of thought he might.

Din Djarin was entirely right. Not worth saving us as a species if we think killing [sort of] innocent teens is the way to do it, IMO. Some phrase about ends and means comes to mind.

Joel does not die in the first TLOU, no. The last episode of the show played out fairly similar to the game, minus the fun game play. TV Joel made saving Ellie look so easy compared to the intense firefights with the better armed Fireflies Joel has to deal with in this section of the game!
I’d kinda assumed he did as - I think - he’s not in the second game, is he? Or did I get that wrong too?

He did seem to have Beskar on in the fight, I agree.
