The Library

"Well, if it's alive, we can hide in the forest and pick them off, one by one", said Dima, glaring back at Gary.

"Well, thanks JOE," he made sure the sarcasm was thick in his tongue, "I am sure you know all about fighting certain monsters only found in books, don't you."
Gary gave him another evil glare, before looking at Joe for the REAL answer.

"Well, there are two ways to stop them. Option one: we fight them. We will get hit really hard. They have staff weapons to our swords.," Joe said,"Option two: we make them think that one of us is a God and the rest are his servents."
Joe watched their faces. There was no way she was telling them what was gonna happen. It was cool onthe page and big screen, but in real life it would be scarrier then hell.
"Sowhat do you guys wanna do? We have about ten minutes."

Dima looked at Gary like he was about to send his brains all over the forest. "I don't care", he simply said.

Gary could see he was getting really mad now, good that meant he was going to be paranoid too. And paranoia leads to mistakes, Gary couldn't wait.
"Joe," he said, turning his mood around, "Can you play one of their gods, I mean good enough so that no one dies."
She looked at him, "I think so, I need some things first."
Gary nodded, "Then go do it, Everyone else, we are in for the part of a lifetime, everyone listen to Joe and do what she says, our lives are more than likely in her hands."
Gary leaned over to her, "I don't want to put you through too much pressure, but it is the truth."
"Well," she said, "let's get started..."

"Professor,Joe said."Egypt." He nodded and begain to dress everyone.
Joe walked over to Vixen and an elf."ow can you help meelf." He lead her to an alcolve full of tresuere."Tihs works."
Joe begain to dress. She waited tel she heard the Jaffa yelling at the profesor.
"ENOUGHT!" she yelled as she stepped into thesun. The professor had done his job well. It looked as if a small party of warriors wascamped here. Never mind that they where warriors.
"Who dare interupt my sleep?
One of he Jaffa nelt before her."I am Cavar, head Jaffa to Hathout."
"How is my son these day?
The Jaffa looked at her."Hathor! Forgive me my queen for my stupidness."
"Begone all of you. The day is young andI ave much to do."
The jaffa marched away. Gary came over to her. "Should we b afraidmore f your readings will come to life?"
"Well if the do they do,"Joe said,"Gary, don't worry."

"Well," Garret addressed the group, "Let's keep our eyes open for anyhting else strange. I want to leave this world in one peace."
Everyone packed up camp, and within the hour the group was on it's way again.
Something puzzled Gary. He wondered if he could actually prove any of the theories he had. He definitally proved the Bill and Ted theory, but that was one in hundred he had.
Gary rode Wyld, as everyone else had their horse. Gary came up to the professor, telling him some of the problems.
"Well," the professor said, "what do you mean about fiction non fiction."
"This is a fitcional world, right?"
The professor nodded, all his research proved that.
"Does that mean non fiction is part of this?"
"I doubt it. This is a place where imagination comes to life, not reality."
Gary took out a piece of paper, writing something in it, then he looked up.
"What is that?"
Gary handed it to him, "Read it."
::As the adventurers made their way to the ultimate library, a metoer came down crushing them all::
Gary saw it. The meteor came out of the sky, right towards them. People got scared, ducking, running from their horses into the woods. Gary merely watched it.
Then, just as the meteor was about to hit them all, it disappeared. The men looked into the sky, wondering what happened. The professor, half way into the woods himself, came back to his horse.
"What happened."
Gary looked into the sky, the meteor came out again, rushing right at them. Gary grabbed the paper, ripping it up. The meteor disappeared just as before.
The professor got on his horse, "Gary, what the hell happened."
"Well," Gary started, "I wrote a piece of fiction, you see no meteor would ever come crashing down upon us. Although, in this world, as soon as you read it, it became fiction and therefor it was true in this world."
The professor nodded, "then why did it disappear?"
"Because, as soon as the meteor was actually hurling towards us, it became non fiction. That way, it disappeared, it never happened. That made a loop. Since it never happened, the meteor came down again, being as the sentence was fiction again. So, it would keep coming down upon us and disappearing. Thats why I ripped up the piece of paper, so it would stop the loop."
The professor looked at him, "Ingenious, how did you know that would happen."
Gary smiled, then laughed, " I didn't."
He rode off.

(this has been nagging at me. I need to finish this. There is just something about this story, I need to finish it)

After a month of travelling the small band had finally arrived at the temple.
Gary, now the leader, got off his horse, and grabbed the two stones. There were two rivets on either side of the temple. He put one in one, and the other in another.
A small hole opened up in the middle. Everyone looked in awe.
"All right. One at a time, let's go."
One by one everyone walked in. Gary grabbed Huckleberry by his shirt.
"You can't come in this ride little one."
Huck looked at him, "I wanna go."
Gary leaned down and hugged him. "You need to stay here. There are tons of children who need to read you, and remember the things you did."
A tear fell from his eye, "All righ', but I don't like it."
Gary nodded. Huck waved, as he ran off, tears falling from his cheeks. Gary felt a tear as well. He was never good at meeting fictional characters.
Vixen walked up to him, giving him a big kiss. Gary returned the kiss.
"You do got a pair on you..." she smiled.
Gary looked down, "Well, I did what had to be done."
She hugged him, "Here's something for you."
She then got on her horse, riding off into the sunset. As soon as she was gone, the sun moved back to noon. Gary would have been amazed at this feat, but he remembered where he was... these things happened.
He looked at the piece of cloth. Unwrapping it, he found the first book of the Vixen chronicles. Inside the front cover she had signed it. Gary smiled. What a woman.
Gary moved into the blue circle, ready to go back to earth.
"Aren't you forgetting someone..."
Gary turned around. That voice was familiar."
A man walked out, looking at Gary.
"Oh my god, it's you."
Garret nodded, "It's me."
Gary walked over and shook his hand, "I can't believe it. I thought you weren't... you were only in my stories... I don't know if they even counted."
Garret placed his hand on his shoulder, "Life's funny that way. Gary, I wanted to say something to you, but you already know."
Gary nodded, he did create the character. He knew everything about the guy.
They stood together, side by side. Garret slightly taller than Gary. His hair a little more fine. Garret's deep brown eyes matched Gary's own, but seemed to have more depth, more meaning in them.
He was, in fact, Gary's fictional twin.
"I want you to do something Gary. I want you to believe in youself, and I want you to keep writing. I don't care if it's about me, but you have a talent. I don't want you to lose it, do you understand."
Gary nodded, he understood.
"And one more thing... have me ride off in the sunset with Vixen."
Gary smiled, as Garret climbed on his own talking horse, and rode off. Gary waved as they rode off into the sunset, then the sun moved back to noon again.
Gary grabbed his bag, now with everything he had collected from this world, and placed both the stones in it. He then went back to his own world...

Gary stood up.
"What day is this?"
"It's the same day," Jo said, "Only a few hours passed."
Gary nodded, a few hours, holy crap. He suddenly realized what Ebinezer Scrooge had meant.
"It's christmas day, I haven't missed it, the spirits have given me another chance."
Jo looked at him, "What?"
Gary shrugged his shoulders, "Nothing. We need to go. I think we all need to go home."
They all nodded. Gary stayed behind however, inside the library. Thousands of books, millions of stories, infinite possibility.
"Soon, Gary, soon. First you know what to do."
Gary did, he headed for the science fiction section, picking out one book. He then went outside.
He picked up the stones, and placed his finger on the car.
A 1985 Delorian appeared in front of him, with a Mr. Fusion in the back.
Gary smiled, placing his stuff inside. He then went over to the garbage can, getting a few essential items. He placed them in the Mr. Fusion, before putting the rest in the back seat.
"Who knows what kind of trash the past... or the future has."
Gary started the car, and moved silently out into the street.
A cop saw a speeding car, and went to put on his lights, but the car was gone, vanished...

Garre, this is for you. Thanks for all your help.
