kisses her shoulder and then rests her head against it, smiling happily

I should be in bed. But.... here I am.

Well, welcome! I'm Vi and this is Brit and we are two of the resident loungers around here. Most everyone is pretty friendly and welcoming.

I saw your post in the seeking thread. Interesting. How do you propose to turn it into an SRP?

Lucky for me that you are!

rests her head on Vi's with an equally happy smile on her face

And yeah, I should probably have introduced myself!

grins

I've read a lot of yours and Brit's work, and find it quite good. It's how I would like to try and write, but I know I still have a long ways to go.

Well, I don't think that idea would really be hard to turn into an SRP. In a sense, the scout is pretty much cut off from his own time frame and has to figure out the best way to survive within the time he came into. The environment is pretty open to be worked on between writers, either one-on one or a group thread. I know it's not much to work with at this point, but I am trying to slowly work out the details.

And I know I need to get to do some work on an SRP profile. Sucks being a procrastinator sometimes, but I do my best to not be one. Doesn't always work tho. : Blushes :

Well, thanks for the compliment

smiles shyly

Now, I have some unpacking to do but will be back in a little while...

kisses her sister's cheek and waves to their newest acquaintance, adding a hug for Tess

Bye for now ladies!

walks like a zombie to her chair.

Hello, snuggle girls.

Watches her sister go with a grin and stretches out, before looking at the clock and snickering.

So. I'm gonna be in trouble tomorrow. Just so you all know.

winks at Tess, and tosses her a blanket

Excellent post doll.

Smiles over at Jade

The premise is a good one, but you're making it less like Terra Nova than what it will have in common with it. Which is a good thing, the show was okay.

And thank you for the compliment, we both try hard. And an SRP profile will go a long way in helping you find good co-writers, as will an AV.

Heh, I guess I should have said it was supposed to start off like the show. Ah well.

: blinks :

I used to have an AV. Grr, I think Lit ate my AV. Now I have to find the stupid thing again. I will try and get an SRP profile done in the next few days tho.

I think you did say that it was supposed to start off like the show. So no worries. I'd be into writing it, but my hands are full with lots of threads right now. Sorry.

And I only mention the AV cause around these parts it makes a difference to have one. shrugs and grins Besides, I love finding new AV's. It's so much fun.

The SRP Profile is something that I only realized recently really had much of an impact of finding co-writers to write with. I was only Lit before under a different nick and the SRP wasn't around then. I've been around Lit for the last eight or so years, and I think I've only noticed the SRP Profile popping up within the last year or so.

I'll have to do a little thinking on a good AV.

looks in and grins

I think I can take a little of the blame for that!

Interesting, I've been around for the last 3 or so under a different handle, as has Brit (though same handle for her). But the SRP Profile is about a year maybe two old, and it has made a difference in finding co-writers, it's one of the first places I check when I get a new co-writer.

It's like a background check. giggles softly

Smiles

Good! That's what I'm telling him.

Yawns

Alright all, I'm off. I'll see you all in the morning!
blows kisses and hugs to all those present and shuffles off to bed.

Excellent post doll.

Thank you! I had good material to work with, so thank you!

As for SRP profiles they've been here at least since I've started here and that was in 2011.

Sleep well Miss Vi.

Heh, I really only started paying attention to the SRP Profile stuff in the last few months. Time to start changing with the times.

Pops in for only a moment.

Tess, I love that you put the man candy thread in your sig. It made me smile and I don't really know why.

Runs off to bed before she is scolded.

They really make it easier to see what people are about at a glance. But I would say it's important to make it personal and not just copy. By all means borrow sections from profiles you like, wording that fits but adapt it so that it fits you perfectly.

waves at a Lily before plopping down into her armchair with a fresh cup of tea

I'd like to think I'll get to write something today...not sure if I'm over my journey yet though...

: tilts head :

And what sort of journey would that be to keep you from writing at the moment?

smiles

I flew back home yesterday after a trip to the UK. From waking up to walking through my front door it was a 22 hour day.

blinks slowly

So am a little less than par at the moment. Not sure my co-writers would appreciate what might fall out of my brain if I tried writing right now!

: laughs:

Yeah, I would say that would be a good reason not to write anything. I know I have problems thinking after staying up for that long. My brain tends to hit the sleep button around the thirty hours mark, if I ever try to stay up that long. Last time I did that was in college.

That fact that I've managed to get out of bed, get dressed and not have clothes on inside out and the like is a pleasant surprise!

And I shall give a round of applause for your completion of that feat.

: Claps and smiles :

: laughs :

Always a pleasure to brighten someone else's day.

It is indeed!

smiles before finishing her tea and contemplating making another - decision made

stands and moves to get another drink

Can I get you anything while I'm up?

No thank you, but thanks for the offer. It's about time I head anyways.

: bows :

Sleep well when you do get some sleep Miss Brit.

Thanks, hope you sleep well and it was nice to meet you! Hope we'll see you around here again!

*slides in just long enough to hug a pretty witch*

Off to bed - it's super late - but will catch up with you later. :rose:
