You're an angel, Sia. *kisses her cheek* Vanilla Latte is a weakness of mine.

I agree. Lit needs to get itself together before I decide to shred it. Grrrrr.

Yes...your weakness for the vanilla latte is a mental note I made. :)

Let's hope Lit is stable now....

Stalks in grumpily and plops down on a couch, computer in hand.

Papers are evil.

What are you working on?

I'm not much of a nap taker, but I do on occasion when it's needed because I get cranky like a small child when I'm too tired.

The change of mood with lack of sleep really can't be stated enough. I'll find myself feeling really out of sorts and then a good night's sleep changes everything.

Yeaaah... don't be so quick, Sweetling. I drink decaf (does that count?) and sometimes indulge in tea. Not that Scutt needs to know that. *snicker*

I say it counts! Although I need to lay off for today, the coffee made this morning was exceptionally strong. I took a break from drinking it but I've been failing lately.

haha ...SB is quite the tea drinker! The man has a crazy amount of tea.

I do like tea too, but for it's typically an evening thing.

How crazy are we talking? Like, Boston Tea Party amount of tea? A tea stockpile! And tea is good, but when spring starts I drink less of it. Any kind in particular you're fond of?

Don't we all feel that way at some time? If there's anything we can do to make you feel less lost, don't be afraid to ask.

The biting is usually only the friendly sort. *grin* (I said usually.)

Feeling like an outsider only occurs when you don't drop in much. So drop in. A lot.

By the way, Novi... welcome to the Lounge.

ohhh i likes biting *giggle*

Sorry to hear that. :( I hope Lit turns out to be a place where you can get away from some of that.

:(
Chronic illness would be a downer. I hope you're enjoying good health currently. :rose:

And good for you on quit smoking, I'm sure it will continue to help.
thank you, i have fibromyalgia, it blows goats, but im stubborn as hell, so i just deal with it most days.

Sorry to hear that. :( Stubbornness is most definitely useful, although to me, it sounds more like strength for you. :rose:

Philosophy paper. Basically making a claim that determinism and free will are not mutually exclusive, and using Descartes and Marcus Aurelius to do so.

P.S. Coffee is icky.

Very nice. I really like Descartes. "The reading of all good books is like conversation with the finest men of past centuries."

And shush, you. Although you do drink tea, so... you don't have to stay shushed.

Stockpile sounds about right. He sent me a pic of his cupboard once. LoL

I like black tea in many forms especially chai and I love hibiscus, especially in the warm spring weather. I find fruity or earthy teas please my palate.

Thank you!

*gasp* Coffee is not icky! ;)

I actually thought the same till I was 20 and started drinking coffee to keep myself up during late night rehearsals back in my theatre days.

I guess Lily's not going to be part of the Coffee Club. *grins*

Oh, that sucks. I have a dear friend who has had it for years. She's managed it pretty well. The rough times are truly rough and she can't do a thing.

Yay. I use to drink at least two cups. Can't do that any more. It causes my blood sugar to spike, damnit.

*sigh* Sia, you're the bestest.

Good luck, Miss Lily.

Mmmm... same here, usually in the evenings or when I'm sick.

I just don't like writing essay type papers. I'm bad at them. I can't organize my thoughts well enough, and I keep wanting to write the same way I write stories and write in fragments and weird sentences, but that's not allowed in formal papers. I'm also terrible at going back and editing.

It's a good thing I don't have to stay shushed. We both know that wouldn't work out very well.

Also, I'd drink coffee if caffeine actually did anything for me, but it doesn't, so it's not worth it.

Sounds like my roommate. She recently weaned herself off of her previous caffeine addiction that she blames tech for.

I guess Lily's not going to be part of the Coffee Club. *grins*

Nope! Never!

Btw, I don't think I've talked to either of you before (if I have, sorry, I have a horrible memory) so, hi! Nice to meet you!

Lily, have you tried to use outlines to organize your thoughts? I found them helpful. If I start early enough, I can go back over the outline again and again. I usually end up adding stuff to it and it helps me keep from forgetting stuff.

Hah! And good point about the fruity teas. Ahh, tea. Citrus and tea is great too.

She'll come around! And boo. It makes me jittery. Sometimes it just sounds like such a good idea, "oh, I want coffee!" and then my heart races like a horse. The sense, it makes none. I'll learn eventually.

Here, let me get out my granny hat...

You're not bad at them! And I know, the shifting to more formal structure sucks. I've been having problems with that myself lately. Blah blah, editing is "3/4" of the writing process, you've heard me say this. I won't nag.

It's probably good that I never really want you to shush then. :rose:

I don't believe we have. I've seen you around, but I haven't been around much for the last few months. Life has a way of keeping me away, but in a good way.

So, Hello and nice to meet you too. :rose:

I've tried it a few times. It doesn't really help. I don't know why. I always end up changing the structure anyway...

*laughs* Truthfully? I'm not sure either. We might have, but that hardly matters now. Hiya!

Waves.

What do you like to be called?

No, I actually am. I'm not just being self deprecating. One of my English teachers in high school was also my creative writing teacher, and she spent so much time confused as to why I could write stories, but couldn't do essays to save my life.

What can I call you?

LOL. I do that sometimes too. I just found it to be an effective tool for myself.

DW is fine or Cait.
