Hello to you, sexy. How was your day? Did you enjoy your run with your dog?

A slight crimson touches her cheeks.

It was alright. I did, mostly. She was a lazy puppy, though. I didn't run as far as I normally would have and I definitely didn't run hard enough to be a true work out for me. How about you? How was your day?

It was a good day at work. I finished the assignment I was working on , so there is a Chevy dealership in Alabama that will get some nice looking aluminum panels to put on their building a little sooner than expected. Then I had a great lunch at Shoneys: chicken pot pie! And after that I came back to work only to spend the afternoon sitting outside in the sun talking to my boss about her love life. Well....she talked. I listened mostly.

Then after work, I cleaned up my front yard to get it ready for the mower. Now I finally get to relax.

Relaxing is a good thing. I got home from work, ran, and have been packing and cleaning non stop. So, now I'm making myself sit down and type up owed words to the Wolfling and relax a bit, myself :)

Do you have a deadline that you have to be out of your current apartment?

Yeah. Our lease ends the 30th. But the trucks that we have helping us are coming next weekend....and that's it lol. So...basically....we have to be ready to move this furniture by the weekend.

Oh wow, nothing like having to hurry to work hard. I am fortunate in that I still have my current home for as long as I want to keep it. I could have them both if I wanted, a city home and a country home. But I don't think there is a need for that. I can wait until the contractors are done with the renovations, then move in at my leisure. And after this weekend, getting most of that deck demolished was probably the last of the really hard work I have to do. The only other things that I'll need to do is a couple lights/ceiling fans, a couple interior closet doors, and I'll call in a carpet cleaner. But that's not anything that has to be done right away.

I can relax and enjoy the woods a bit.

This sounds like a solid plan. And it's true, you don't need two. But it might not be a bad idea to rent the city home out.

I have given some thought about that. I've done that sort of thing before. I had a house in Ohio and lived down here in Georgia at the time. It was not a good experience for me. But I've also had a house in Virginia once and it was rented through a realtor management agency (Century 21), and that experience wasn't so bad. If I did rent it out, it would be through a realty management like that.

But the other thing is that I'd like to cash out the equity I have in it to pay for a few larger projects I have in mind for my new place, or to pay it down.

It's always nice to have options. Either way would give you income. One would just be more slow and steady, rather than a lump sum.

#1 Chicken brest broiled in peach wine. Check. #2 1pt creem 1 pt milk 1can creamOmushroom, 1 can creamOpotato, 1lb etam, 1lb provalone, 1 half stick real butter, and garlic to season. Check. #3 snow peas in butter sause. Check. #4 prtabellos 2lbs sautied. Check. #5 linguine cooked. check. #6 fresh baked garlic bread. Check. One plate add linguine place one butterflyed chicken brest on top. one ladel full of #2 cauce carfuly over brest and pasta. Add #4 mushrooms. One serving of snow peas. One slice of bread. and... Dinner is served. I can only cook this meal for 8 or more so eat all you want.

That is a good point. I've heard of people who buy houses just for rental. They acquire up to about 10-15 properties, use just their best paying ones to help pay the others off until they have 5-10 paid off, then sell the rest, own the 5-10 mortgage free and collect the rents as income for their retirement. It's a good idea if you don't mind dealing with all the issues that come with owning properties times however many you own.

I'll have to give it more thought before I decide.

Yeah. I'm in no position to buy a house or anything. But it would be something I'd consider if I ever found myself in a situation like yours.

Someday you will be. It will happen sooner than you think I bet. But it can be a blessing or a curse. You want to be in a situation where you can own your house, but your house doesn't own you. It's no fun being a homeowner if you have to put everything you make into paying for the house. I've known people who were house poor, they couldn't afford to go out with friends or see a movie or go out to eat, etc. Much better to wait until it can be a good experience.

Would I need to upgrade the circuit breaker box to handle the amperage load for your 'special appliances'? ;) :D

Lightning rods!

You know I'm one of those prepper types. I have a back up generator. I'd just have to get it going.
