So~ either I'm bad at public transportation, or the public transportation is really bad here. I wasn't fully aware of the changes made to the route, and took a really roundabout way of getting to a station (was told I should transfer. I should not have transferred). Somehow, I'm still going to arrive on time. My husband was willing to pick me up if things got way off.

In big cities it's fine, I typically do very well. Here, public transit was an after thought so it isn't efficient at all. Maybe that's our problem?

I've just been reading about the British girl who has been charged in Malaysia for posing nude on a mountain sacred to the people of that region. Apparently she's 'scared' and frightened about what will happen now. There was a whole group of them who decided to strip off and then get angry with the guides who tried to stop them.
I'm finding it hard to have a lot of sympathy for her, I'm afraid. Their views on whether the mountain is 'sacred' or not are irrelevant - if you want to pose naked for photos and have a party with your mates, go to Ibiza or Magaluf Don't go to a country steeped in religion and do it in an area where the locals believe their souls go when they die. And especially don't expect sympathy when you get caught. It's about respect - simple.

I agree and very well said. I tend to view religion as superstition and a bit silly, but at the same time I think it's important to be respectful of others' cultures, especially as a visitor. I'm also, simply, boggling at WTF they were thinking posing nude anywhere, especially after the protests of the guides.

No, the maggi refers to the maggi cubes or sauce, not to magic. It's cool, because lovage tastes really meaty. Although maybe you meant the name in some other language refers to magic.

According to wiki it isn't. I had to check after I learned the name. I was only familiar with Liebstöckel before.
