Boob update 3 (or 4?):

Since the lump hadn't gotten significantly smaller and was getting more painful and sort of warm again, I had to go see the good doctor once more. I had it sonographed and they drained out some stuff. Eww. It's a damn good thing I've become more used to needles in the past couple of years. This was the moment I'd been practicing for.

The silver lining is that I told the doctor about my epic breast cancer genes, so while the ultrasound machine was already up and running, he checked my other boob too. No signs of cancer.

Doesn't sound like fun but good that you got it checked out.

The Mohs surgery for my little basal cell carcinoma happened yesterday. Quick and easy, but my nose is till swollen (the locals) and I have the beginnings of a black eye (also the locals). Six stitches (2 subcutaneous) which should result in a tiny scar which should fade pretty quickly.

The worst part is no exercise for a week until the stitches come out!

Sadists.

Oh, and the other two places biopsied were negative! Whoop! Overactive sebaceous glands, apparently.

My nose hurts….

This sounds quite, quite, quite awful. :(

At least you got the sonogram done as a result, and are free and clear. :rose:

CAREFUL hugs!! :rose:
And hooray for negativity! For once :)

That would be fantastic if I lived closer to a city. I love where I live for the most part but it does lack culture. I would adore being an usher. I live 2 hours from where I could do that though.

Every place has culture. Maybe not the culture you want, but every place has culture of some sort.

Good to hear that it went well.
Perhaps you heal quicker than expected so you can go back to excercise earlier.
I always end up having to get stitches myself before the appointment because it heals fast.

I want to go see a traveling Broadway production; I want to go to they symphony; I need some culture that speaks to my soul.

Check out local high school productions. The high schools in my area do some absolutely amazing performances. Even better is the price-$5-$7

Totally feel ya here. I'm itching for some travel.

My Blurt:

I am jonesing for a proper spanking something awful. The kind where I have to spend the rest of the night on my belly.

True and for the most part I really love where I live.

I'll have to look into that. I know we don't have that at the schools near where I live but there may be some possibilities a little farther away.

Travel is very good especially for you. :rose::kiss:

Otters are a lot uglier in real life than I'd imagined. And I'm not unnerved by bats flying round my head.

I'm thinking there's at least one story hiding behind this, if not two. Hmmm?

Well, not really :). Only that we went to the zoo today and I was looking forward to seeing the giant otters. I suppose I'd imagined a large seal-type creature but I got this instead...

And we walked through a dark area where there were free flying bats of varying sizes which I thought might be a bit unnerving (especially when daughter kept muttering about rabies under her breath). It was a bit odd feeling them just flit past your face in the dark, but they seemed to be quite sweet things really. :)

That's a story. Free flying bats? Now that's something I've never experienced. Fascinating.
