I thought about dropping in something last minute, I have a short piece-3 pages short for me- but then I get caught up in the I'm not eligible and I have this weird thing where I don't enter anything unless I have a chance to place, otherwise its not worth it.

I'm kind of the same way. I don't want to do any last minute entries, a rushed entry looks awful... but it worked for Chloe

I didn't write this story to win anything, it was one of those stories that just transitions from a sweet May/December Romance to a bloody Mafia shoot-em-up to a pool party. It just transitioned naturally.

Someone is coming through and one-bombing all the Summer Lovin' stories.

I've been keeping an eye on them (because this is the first time I've had an actual chance of placing yay!) and all of at least the top 10 dropped this morning sometime between 6 and 8 AM Central. A Model Garden - Prometheus got hit hardest, dropping from 4.82ish to 4.78. First and Last, mine, went from 4.82 to 4.81, presumably because of a difference in the number of people that voted on it; it currently has 650-odd votes, whereas A Model Garden had around 80 yesterday when I looked.

I'm a numbers guy, okay? Don't look at me like that.

Anyways, hopefully the sweep at the end will take care of the issue. I want to win, of course, but I want it to be fair, too. Just a heads-up so no one gets surprised at the end if the scores shift massively.

Yeah, I've tracking mine but it appears I'm also getting hit by duobombers. I suspect there's been a change in tactics to try and avoid being swept.

Submitted to Romance, but Laurel stuck it in Interracial. Yikes! One character is Korean, but that's in no way the point of the story. Wonder if it'll get destroyed for not playing into expected Asian fetishes and stereotypes.

Dunno. Maybe it's not as romantic as I thought?

Or maybe it's punishment for the last story I put in Romance: it mentioned pegging and man, did the romantics get their daggers out.

Good to know Laurel's open to recategorizing. I think of her as a sphinx-like entity - mythical, inscrutable and immutable.

The story is due to go live tonight. If it gets showered in hate, I may ask her to move it.

Yup. I have the co-FMC in the final episode of Coleoidphilia (and a FSC in the second) being South Korean (well heritage). Her ethnicity is not really central to the story, which remains in Sci-Fi.
