I love that idea. I have tried it with Adam and Eve and a few other stories from the bible. But Christmas there are so many ways this could go.

By stand-alone we mean that the story stands on it's own, it begins, tells its message and comes to an end within itself. It needs no outside 'chapter 1' and it doesn't need a second entry to come to completion.

Ah perfect. Then I will record and post the audio first, I think, and then post the poem/song lyrics second, just to be on the safe side. Assuming I ever get some privacy in my house where I can actually record enough takes to get the song right.

Yeah my story I just submitted is a first love and first kiss is 23K in. But I think it's an entertaining 23K. And does a god job at building the tension.

Yeah, and I've been on a music kick lately. My last story published was all about competitive barbershop quartet singing. This one is about a musical savant who's been in love with a girl since the age of 4.
