I heard once from a friend of mine who attended a convention in New York that an industry vendor got into all kinds of trouble when he plugged in a piece of equipment without calling a union electrician to do it for him.

LOL, it was probably at the Javits Center and yes, those stories are absolutely true.

I know someone who had the same trouble for changing a lightbulb.


The worst part is that the unions get the politicians they have paid off to pass or include parts of legislation almost in the middle of the night.

Oh those stories are legendary at McCormack Place (a big convention center, where the Chicago Auto Show is held, for example) in Chicago. The shit you have to go through and pay through the nose for, just so the union can do it. Amazing.
