The OOC Club...come in from the heat

Baroque? How about Shakespearian?

Elizabeth, whose fair lips did to glisten
With drops of lover's dew; drew back her head.
The turgid member thence released did droop:
Strength gone, poured out upon the waiting visage,
Scarlet-hued tresses and bespeckled bosum.
Sir Robert smiled, an ancient old refrain
Came to his mind and he began to sing.
"Sittest upon my face and Tell'st me that Thou
Lovest me..."

I love it Xantham. But foolish me forgot to state that it must be in one sentence complete.

All members!
Ariosto is trying something new!
Take a look at
'The Night Marilyn Monroe Gave Me A Blow Job'

Think it might be any fun?

Now, see? You CAN write in the first person! I, for one, am surprised!

Well, it sounds like it could be fun....but do I need to wait for you to post again?

I dunno.....I hope I did it right. Let me know and, if not, I'll edit or try to fix it...

Afternooner is GONE for good

OOC: Excuse me to intrude....

All of a sudden, Afternooner has told me today he will not write on the internet anymore... to dedicate himself to his RL family.
I asked him to warn everyone he's been co-writing with and he hasn't done so.
If this sad news hurts you, please know that I share your pain. I've been crying over it ever since he told me.

Beryl,
Thanks for letting us know. I will miss his writing, but if he is happy, and feels it best not to write here for the sake of his family, then I applaud his decision.

I think we all should be happy for Afternooner and his family.....happiness can be elusive to most of us in this life....

dang

won't be the same.......

but i respect his decision. if i ever had to choose or any of us had to choose i'm sure we would all say the same. we would choose our families first.

afternooner, i respect u and ur decision. ur a good man.

While I am sorry to hear that Afternooner is gone from us, I am writing to mention that I seem to be back for a while. I know some of you were enjoying my absence but I think I will be around for a bit more. I have a new number and new hours, but I'm back. :)

(((((Xantham))))).....well, I for HAVE missed you! Was wondering where you'd gotten yourself off to....glad to know you are back for a while!

Ideas

Idle thoughts...What do you think of an OOC thread for new members of Lit (SRP) to introduce themselves to the membership?

What do you think of starting a thread based on the Club but with sex allowed?

How can we get more people to stop in and have a drink or two.
We've lost a member here and there and it would be nice to see some new contributors.

Should we host a no holds barred Orgy for a week?

Come on guys I have to pay my rent!

ariostos ideas

i'm for all of them. they are good ideas, and i'm sure it might do something for the newbies (<~~~as if i should talk). the only reaon i stopped coming in here for a non-alcoholic drink now and then is because all this contest stuff was up and i didn't want to interrupt it all.

Introductory OOC Thread for Newbies

This sounds like a very good idea. I'd like to be able to introduce myself to the group in a place where it'd get seen.

Thank you Hippie Chick I think we are going to start just such a place. In the meantime you are welcome here. The drinks are on the house and we'd love to know more about you.

Introduction

Howdy. I'm HippieChick, been called that online and off since long before I had the long hair to match. I am a guy, and I know the nickname is confusing, but you try to argue with 10 years of traditionally having the name. I'm a grad student at Arizona State University where I teach algebra and am working on my Masters in mathematics. I fancy myself a writer (but in this crowd, don't we all?). I'm 22 years old and uh, gee, can't think of anything else to say.

I'm open to questions. I like questions. Dunno why.

Can't resist the temptation...

<saunters over to the new guy; looks at ariosto>

"I see we have some fresh meat! Just what this joint needs to keep it hopping! "

<extends hand to Hippie>

"Howdy! My name is Angel! Pleased to meet ya" ;)

hi to all the newbies out there

hi! hmm...my first day here i was confused and didn't really know the process. after reading hecates note, i was even MORE confused as how to post. then i figured "aw, fuck it," and lo and behold....i know how to do this stuff. i'm sure you'll all have fun, as i did. i made an pissed one guy off *looks toward ariosto* but it was all worked out *internally laughing at how far in debt ariosto is (not meant to be mean-spirited ariosto)*. just remember these basics:

RULE #1: DO NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT LITEROTICA.COM
umm...hold on, that's wrong, tell your friends, relatives, and significant others...we all have fun...but don't be surprised if some of ur friends give you wierd looks. i've noticed they are usually the people who won't write it, but secretly like to read it. (like my friend joanne, heheheheh...never knew she was a dirty girl). anyway, on witht he real rules...

1.have fun
2.as ariosto has experienced and i have on occasion, DO NOT KILL/MAIM OR FORCE ANOTHER CHARACTER INTO A SITUATION THEY WON'T WANT TO BE IN. it's best to leave them some options in ur writing...even if you have a great idea...email or pm (personal message) the character if you think they might like it or they might not.
3.have fun...wait...er..that's rule #1.....anyway, that means double fun.
4. is there a rule #4? i sure haven't come across it.

ah well, get in there and get dirty...that oughtta be a rule...

btw, my name is tmuyo. my real name is richard. i f you need help with something feel free to email me or use any of the ways to communbicate with me that i have left in my profile *looks at the little button that says profile in the bottom of the post*. just identify that ur from lit, otherwise you may get some pretty stolid responses as i try and figure out who the hell you are and why ur iming me.

*sits in the corner window spot and looks at ariostos bills*...."hmm, gonna need my buddy at nasa to calculate this bad boy," flips throught the couple hundred sheets of alcohol bills accumulated from just this last month. ariosto old boy, ur not perhaps rich or have old money stashed away somewhere? because i don't think ur bill collectors are likely to take monopoly money....as if there was enuff monopoly money to pay for these bills.... *empties his own thin bare wallet....* maybe i'll start drinking water and save you a few bucks.

"Thanks for the welcome. It nice to meet you too. This seems like a good place to hang out."

In the past, I've done most of my erotica reading solo, and the thought that it was the sort of thing to share with other people had never occurred to me before. I'd been reading the stories and more interestingly the role-playing sessions here for a few weeks and it seemed like a really spiffy idea. I was surprised at the number of females present (or at least people pretending to be females (although it doesn't seem to make much of a difference to me)). Anyway, I posted to my first game yesterday, and I'm maybe looking around for some others to join.

"What is it that makes you a guru, Angel?"

Well, HippieChick, welcome to the boards. You seem to have the right attitude and that is all that matters. And with a name like that, I have to admit, I look forward to possibly posting with you in the future...

titles and avatars

titles are like ranks

1-29 is vrigin
30-99 is experienced
100-299 is really experienced
300-500 is really really experienced
501-999 is literotica guru
1000+ make ur own title

avatars
must have 100 posts to add an avatar

Thank you, Tmuyo for the title info, and SexyChele for the welcome. So far, I've been keeping an eye out for new games to join. Is it considered bad form to try and jump in on an already established game? I would expect that it would depend on the particular thread, but I wouldn't know how to identify which would be appropriate to join in on.

that's iffy

i always laev a message asking first, before jumping into a thread.

Joining established threads

HippieChick,
Joining an already established thread really depends on a lot of things.

1. If the author has indicated it is a closed thread, you cannot join.

2. Make sure you read the entire thread before wanting to join....it will make it easier on you and on the others you post with.

3. Sort of have a character in mind, one that will enhance the story, or add a new dimension to it.

4. Private Message or email the original author, and ask them if you can join their thread, what type of character you are thinking of adding, and respect their wishes.

People have joined threads quite late into them, so it is possible. Also, look for people asking for replacement characters - it's a good way to get started.

Good luck and have fun!

<small gasp escapes my throat as Hippie's lips graze my hand>

Hippie, I would like to invite you to join my thread entitled "The Scavenger Hunt." If you are interested, just jump right in with a short character description and then a post! If not that's ok. But I demand another kiss to make up for it...lol Oh and I am a genuine bona fide female! Want me to prove it to ya?

<oops, sorry ariosto, I keep forgetting this is a sex free club -- blows a kiss to ariosto -- love ya babe>
