*The lapping of the tide grew steadily closer to their path. She was swinging their arms, a child-like joy that he hadn't observed in quite some time in anyone. It made him chuckle softly as they kept going. Eventually, they came to a small inlet, surrounded by thin reeds of grass, tall enough to cover the view from above.*

Well, here's one of those coves I mentioned. Shall we continue on or settle here? I am sure there are more along the way...

She paused with him. Glancing around the inlet as if appraising property for building a home. She shrugged and shook her head.

"We could keep going?" she suggested. Her legs were still a little stiff from the hard 36 hour slumber.

*He watched her gauging the merit of the alcove, finding that she still had more wanderlust left within*

Of course, dear.

*Without another word he kept walking, hand still intertwined with hers, a smile on his lips. The moon was well into the sky now, finding its apex for the evening. The light it cast was muted every now and again by an errant cloud, but otherwise the night was clear*

*smiles* Yeah, looks like I'll have to take a little break into the living room. I'll be back in...well, when she's asleep.

She followed at his side, trying to take in miniscule details in the moon-lit darkness: her brown eyes often had problems in seeing such things in shadows. She looked on, forward, instead. This area of the coast was much easier to see with the moon almost directly overhead.

She smiled to herself, edging closer to him if the clouds were to meander over the moon and shade the way for a moment. It was embarrassing, really, her being a little scared of the dark at her age. Though, she figured a long while back it wasn't the darkness that scared her: it was what may be looming in that darkness, but, for the time being, she had him, so fears ebbed away, or at least were not as prominent as if she were to traverse this path alone.

Flies back to the Outlook, shifts forms, and enters.

Hello everyone.

Walks over and sits at his usual location on the couch.

*The tides had come to their height now; their feet were washed with the foamy spray every few minutes as they continued to wander down the beach. He looked to her, lips pursing for a moment before speaking*

So tell me, Kay, are you enjoying the Outlook? It is nice to have a place to retreat and relax in, yes?

She was caught off guard by the sound of his voice and nearly jumped. She had been miles away, thinking, or perhaps counting their steps in case something beckoned her attention and she needed a swift exit. She glanced at him and smiled.

"It is nice," She admitted. "I've met all sorts of people there, refreshing, really, because up until that point I was only talking to SoulWeaver..." her face took on a concerned look and she sighed. "Whom I haven't heard from in nearly a week and a half... not like him, really, to disappear without letting me know." She shrugged and swiftly changed the subject. "I meant to continue writing in your thread... though... at present, my character wouldn't in a million years perform any sort of spontaneous thing with Cait's character in the establishment... not that Cait's character is bad... my character is... just that much like me, I suppose."

She stopped in her tracks and picked up a sun-dried starfish. "Poor little guy," she sighed, digging a little hole with the sole of her foot and, after letting go of his hand, buried the creatures remains. She stood up and brushed her hands off by rubbing her palms together in quick succession, then claimed his hand in hers again.

"You seem quite active on several different hang-out style threads," she said with a smile, glancing back at him. "How do you juggle it all? I can hardly do three threads at once!"

I'm sure he's got a good reason for his absence, and will explain it when he returns.

*He watched her bury the starfish with an inquisitive look. He'd never had even thought to do such a thing. She was a kind soul in addition to being shy and eager at the same time. He smiled as she took his hand again. Their eyes locked as he responded*

I enjoy multitasking, and doing many things at once seems to help me to keep my brain settled. Otherwise it would be a jumble of random thoughts, intent on tearing me from sanity.

In regards to the S&F...you've no need to worry. There will be time for your character and mine to interact, alone.

*His grin widened at that last bit, not entirely subconsciously*

Best rated games and you don't find them interesting?

The original Grand Theft Auto wasn't bad. The subsequent two were more of the same with drastic changes in the concept. Then they went stupid with things like San Andreas and so on.
