And here I thought that was only in the movies...*a soft snicker escapes his lips*

Homemade bread from scratch? Very nice.

She arched a brow at him from her spot on the recliner directly across, "Hardly. I suspect many women have them and for the same purpose as well."

"Yes, does that somehow invalidate me?"

No, though I've always been more a fan of arcana drawn from places other than stuffy professors and long lectures....

Heh, my humor was as dry as your shower was wet there, I fear. I believe your suspicion wholeheartedly, and would only wish that they had less cause to use them, and more cause to save water by showering with another....

I'm tired, but nothing good company and perhaps a few drinks won't cure. *He motioned to the free seat next to him, looking up at her with the smile still intact. Something about her giggles made him smile constantly*

I do work in the morning, but not quite as early as this morning. And only for a few hours. I'll have plenty of time to catch up on sleep. Thanks for your concern, though.

She sat in the chair beside him and smiled brightly.

"Of course," She said with a nod. She bit her bottom lip. She hadn't really planned on the next strategic conversational piece.

James stood in exactly the same position as Kay walked away and didn't even acknowledge him.
He stayed like that for a few moments before noticing Cait.
"Welcome back!"

She blinked, glanced at James, and winced, grimacing at herself a bit, then cleared her throat.

"I'm sorry, James... I'm fine... I didn't mean to..." she shook her head, losing where she was going with that. "I'm all over the place today... I cant keep on a basic line of concise thought... if they tested me today they'd say I had ADD," she laughed half-heartedly. "My apologies..." she bowed her head in an embarrassed manner.

"Hmmm, marvelous thought, that. Not always possible or available, but the handheld will do in a pinch."

"I assure you, a great deal of our work is practical outside work"

So how was your day, Kay? *He chuckled softly at the unintended rhyme, the pure corniness of it making him laugh more*

A true smile took her face because of his laughing. She shrugged a little and giggled herself.

"Uneventful," she sighed. "Helped my parents for all of twelve minutes, got yelled at for an hour or so afterward... Same ol' Same ol'."

She glanced at him, still smiling slightly.

"How about you? Had any fun at work?" she questioned.

"You're forgiven." He said as he nodded Kay's way.

She smiled and nodded in James' direction; relieved.

[Be back in a few... just realized the time and realized that I was hungry...]

"I thought I felt something while in there, etheral shower buddies indeed..." He said with a big grin on his face.

"Ethereal buddies, my arse," she stuck her tongue out at him, "I've had a few of those but YOU, being so new and all, were not invited."

I see. No, no fun to be had at that place. Some amusing conversation with the few coworkers I enjoy talking to, though. Par for the course, really.

James pouted and gaspes in mock disappointment.

"Yeah, you heard me, Mage boy. I might be easy, but I'm not that damn easy."

*Ponders the possibilities of becoming ethereal and joining Cait for a shower. Grins deviously*

Feeling Fr33k's eyes upon her, she grins and sends a wink his direction, "Now you on the other hand..don't require an invitation."

Arrives back at the Outlook and walks over to Kay.

Hello lovely, I'm back. A little late, but still.

I'll bear that in mind, Cait...*Realizing the devilish nature of his smile, seeks to tone it down to just joviality*

She snickered. Spying a close by waiter, she signaled him over and asked for a pot of hot herbal tea and smiled in appreciation of the view when he walked away.

Out of the water, toweling off. My brain is stuck on my Muse. I wonder if she is near by. I wonder where she is. Panties, bra, jeans, black tee, baby blue Timberlands. This is my uniform. I turn once, debating going up to the Outlook proper, to see who is still here, if anyone.

A moment's serious thought and I allow my feet to lead me toward the rock hewn stairs, figuring one drink will do me good until I hit the Inn and begin writing. I reach the deck and see others. A hand is thrown up in acknowledgement, but I keep it moving. I reach the bar, just as a server steps to my side. My voice is low, husky, an alto verging toward tenor.

"Sloe Comfortable Screw please. Little ice, light sloe gin, heavy OJ, light SoCo. Thank you."

I drop a wink and sit down, watching as she bustles off. A soft sigh, a whisper of sound and my server reappears with a perfectly prepared drink. I give her a tip and brush soft fingertips over her skin.

"Thank you."
