"Thyri..." He laughed sheepishly, painting a pink hue across his cheeks with the brush of simplistic embarrassment, before turning towards her. "Sorry to have made such a lame impression with my question. You seem to be a nice, interesting person. You've obviously got patience, so you've at least earned my respect with that."

It's nice to meet you. We all were new here once ourselves, and I remember my first few visits. Don't worry, I've asked some questions that were embarrassing for me too. :)

"Taming of the Shrew." She smirked and got up from her recliner and headed for the stairs that would take her to the beach.

I honestly only liked Romeo and Juliet, MacBeth, and Julius Caesar. The rest of Shakespeare's work doesn't amuse me that much.

"You have hit it. I am a stool. Now sit upon me." He quoted the work of Shakespeare he most favoured in response to the new shrew he met, although, personally, he enjoyed people who had that kind of fierceness to them. A fiery soul was better than an ice-cold latte. Or however the hell the phrase went.

His reaction to Thyri was another blush, and the feeling of being a child in grade school again. "You remind me of a teacher, for some reason." He stares towards her, blinking in amusement, and then raising an eyebrow. "Well, no matter." He chuckles, and then raises an amused eyebrow. "Well... what goes on here, anyways?"

*Overhearing Dragon's comment, I am compelled to reply,

Surely you would include Hamlet in your approved list, Dragon! I loved the Mel Gibson version. It's one of the better things he did before going crazy, in my opinion. And anyone who's ever been suicidal has to identify with the soliloquy.

Hamlet disturbed me in many ways. For starters, Shakespeare shouldn't have ripped off the Greeks. It's got Oedipus written all over it.

She paused at the top of the stairs, shooting the noob a look and it sure as hell wasn't a come hither one either.

"If I ever sit upon you, trust me, you'll hardly be a stool." She ran down the steps lightly and strolled toward the dock.

(Gah, the real world calls and I must heed it. I'll be back later)

A teacher? No, I can't lay claim to that title. A healer, with a strong empathy for how people feel. As to what goes on here, pretty much this. We talk, get to know each other. New folks get to know people who've been around a while, sometimes in rather intimate ways, though that's not always necessary. The Outlook is just a place to get your feet wet, pardon the ocean-side reference.

Well, that much is true I guess. I've just been in the frame of mind that was reflected in that part. It spoke to me, once upon a time.

She blew Lady Thyri a kiss and vanished. For the time being.

Alright, Cait. Maybe I'll catch you there later.

Er...Lust for your mother? *blinks, not quite sure he understands*

A rather exotic bunch, aren't they? Well, perhaps it's better to be exotic than to conform. To become the individual who has defined himself or herself through the laborious trials of time, to have turned into the being which you are today, through suffering and hardships...

But is it not better to avoid all that pain and all the things which make us suffer and drive us into despair? If so, then perhaps the individual might be better off joining in with the many who simply do as told, and live simpler, more blissful lives.

"It is not our decision to judge the decisions of others, simply to understand them and move on. Despite the events that occur within one's lifetime, sympathy is not something that should ever be handed out. Understanding is far more important."
How he must've looked like a nutcase after that. He only said his final few words aloud, and seemed to have come out of nowhere. However, he didn't mind. In fact, he welcomed this kind of thing. To be happy and giddy enough to not notice when you were doing the stupidest of things, it was a blessing. It was good to be able to wake up in the morning, lively and ready-to-go, when only working with a few hours of sleep.

Having left his rather strange state of mind, he returns to reality with a happy smile, and then turns to face Thyri, hopping down from the desk, and reaching towards her, patting her head, his eyes closed, as he chuckles quietly. "Well now, a healer huh? Impressive...." His eyes open, and he looks at her with his ice-blue eyes soft and shimmering, warm and touching, before his grin became even wider. "And i respect people like you who have those kind hearts with the patience, sympathy, and understanding to be empathetic... And I don't read any more Shakespeare than necessary, as working with pre-med is a time-consuming effort, thank you very much~." He sticks his tongue out playfully, before removing his hand from Thyri's head, and placing it in his pocket.

"Not to say that we don't all go through tough times, but suicide is our way of escaping from the pains of this world, in hopes of a better one on the other side, or simply just because we think we can no longer last the problems we go through in the real world."

*Eyes look upwards to the condescending pat on the head. Trying to keep the resentment from coming though in my voice, I reply,

Gee, it's been so long since I was patronized like a naive child. Funny how I haven't missed the feeling at all in all that time. Now, if you will excuse me, I have plans to attend to.

I really should try to find a couple of gals to play Rachael "Raven" Roth and Starfire.

"Ironically, I actually respect her, although it's pretty obvious she doesn't think so." He sighs, pulling his hand away quickly and staring as if the girl were some monstrous shark who was about to rip off his hands. He took one last deep breath, before grinning again, both hands in his pockets. "I get it, Thyri-sama. Treat you with respect more maturely than I treat the people who I tend to manipulate, despite the fact that I respect them." He grins sadistically, before he becomes happy-go-lucky again, taking out a chess set from nowhere, and placing it on the table, beginning an intense match of DaveSteele(alias) VS DaveSteele(alias). "So, Raven, is it always this.... quiet, I guess? Never really any disorder, it seems like..."

Not always. You just came in on a very slow day.

"So what if I do...?" she grinned.

She splashed him back each time she was assaulted by the salty water, giggling. As he lessened the distance between them she looked up into his eyes, reaching up to move his hair away from his face. She bit the corner of her bottom lip and let her hand fall from his hair to rest gently on his chest. She smiled a little, that familiar heat taking her cheeks as she blushed, bowing her head. She giggled again, though, nothing amusing was happening, it was more out of shyness than anything else. She tried to force her own hair out of her eyes, the weight of the water made her curls wavy, making her hair seem about an inch or so longer than it usually appeared. She wondered what would happen if she would just look up and kiss him; her eyes darted across the water, back and forth as she thought about it. She hardly noticed herself bringing her other hand, balled slightly into a fist, to rest over her mouth as she thought.

*His grin echoed her sentiments, and her hand was surprisingly warm as she laid it on his chest. The water was getting a bit chilly, but he hadn't really minded.

Her hand moved to her mouth, where she was still biting at her lip. Thoughts seemed trapped by those two motions, and he was very interested to know her thoughts. So, with one hand he took her balled fist and brought it down to her side, while the other held her at her jawline, fingers curled just at the back of her neck. With a quick smile, he leaned in and brought their lips together. It was another one of those moments that just felt....right*

"Goody!~" He exclaims sarcastically as the first casualty of a rather racist-looking war over a slab of wood occurred, the black pawn knocking over the white one as it moved forwards. "Hey, look... it's lynching in reverse." His cynicism knew no limitations, and he certainly wasn't going to be sensitive over the subject of race. To defend his statement, he looked up, and provided a disclaimer. "I'm not racist... I just hate all people equally." He then returned to his chess game.

She sat on the dock, her feet dangling over the edge as she contemplated the night sky and other things on her mind.

As their lips touched she leaned into the kiss. It was almost as if he knew what she was thinking, and she was very grateful for it. Her eyes closed as lips impacted lips; her hand remained on his chest, trapped between the two of them. She pulled away slowly, eyes still closed, a smile took her face.

Her eyes slowly opened, batted; her heart began to flutter. She leaned away somewhat, just for a moment, to retrieve her hand, then rested her forearms gently on his shoulders, hands tucked inward, touching the back of his neck like a lady would whilst dancing slowly with her man; She stepped a bit closer to him, looking up into his eyes, lips dangerously close, noses touching, stomachs touching, chests touching. She giggled softly.

"Shall we... get out?" she asked softly. "Or...?"

He abandoned his chess game, and, after much wandering, found his way to the docks, and took a seat beside the girl whom he had so... 'affectionately' called Katherina. He avoided eye contact as he deadpanned at his former immaturity, before finally speaking up. "Hey. Sorry about earlier... I was being a little too immature, and got carried away with my pranks." He offered her his hand. "I don't expect you to forgive me or to really sympathize with such a lame excuse, but I won't offer you any other reason why I acted that way, since there isn't another reason for me to provide. So, shall we move on?"
