"Fair enough," she said with a nod.

She watched him speak to the staff and stood there, swaying slightly. She crossed her arms and smiled, looking back towards the water. Once the person who took the request came back with the cooler she let her arms fall back to her side. She was amused to see a checkered blanket: almost giggled over the matter, in fact.

"Of course," she responded; she remained there a moment after he kissed her cheek.

She ran a hand through her hair and shook her head in blissful disbelief then wandered into the lounge, toward her room; Once there she quickly undressed and searched around for her little red retro one piece bathing suit. After she put it on she placed her denim skirt and tank top back on over it and walked out, leaving her shoes behind. She could probably use a towel, it was an afterthought, and she turned back a few steps away from her room to go grab one.

Finally ready to go, she ambled back to where he had left her, standing there casually looking back at the beach. She always dressed quickly, there wasn't really a reason behind it, other than she never really wanted to be caught off guard while nude. It was silly, actually. She grabbed the railing of the balcony and sighed contently.

*He'd redressed quickly, but waited a few minutes before returning to the lounge. He smiled when he saw her, seemingly in the same outfit, but with the hint of her swimsuit peeking out around her shoulders. He grabbed the cooler and blanket, motioning with his free hand for her to follow as he headed down the stairs toward the beach. He'd neglected to grab a towel for himself, so busy were his thoughts.*

She followed behind him, careful not to trip, watching her feet as she descended down the stairs. She walked at his side as they made their way towards a suitable spot. She wondered to herself what swimming would entail: she wasn't any good at laps, she just liked playing in the water, she supposed. She could swim, of course, just... not competitively.

While she was thinking to herself she accidentally bumped into his arm.

"Sorry," she quickly responded, allowing a little more distance between them, and trying to concentrate more on her footing than on her thoughts.

Nothing to be sorry about, Kay.

*They'd reached the spot they'd sat in previously. He set the cooler down with the blanket still folded on it, and peeled his shirt off. He looked from her to the water, then back again, smiling and stretching a bit, arms crossing his chest before reaching skyward*

Ready when you are.

She put her folded towel on top of the blanket and glanced at the water. As he took off his shirt her eyes darted to him, admiring his form, she blushed a little and nodded.

"Right..." she said softly, turning her back on him. She pulled off her shirt and folded it neatly, adjusting the bust area of her swimsuit, then, hesitantly, pulled down her skirt. After folding her skirt she set both articles of clothing on top of her towel.

She didn't turn back to look at him, instead, she took off towards the water, running until it was about knee high. She waded out farther until the water was about hip high and dove in the rest of the way, swimming a few strokes before coming up, gasping for hair. She flipped her bangs out of her eyes with a flick of her head and looked back towards him. She waved at him shyly from where she bobbed in the surf, a little embarrassed and regretful of not staying there a bit longer for him to admire her.

*He laughed as she took off running, splashing into the waves, only turning after she was mostly submerged in the water. He chuckled a bit. She might have tried to hide by turning away and then darting for the surf, but he'd still managed to catch a glimpse of her physique. He took long strides right into the water, the waves smacking against his chest after a certain distance. He moved right out to where she was, feet just barely touching the sand beneath.*

That's an interesting suit. Very....old school. I dig it.

*He grinned and ducked under the water, disappearing entirely. He swam out and around her, to her back side, before kicking powerfully and gliding like a torpedo by her legs, reaching out to make a tickling motion against them. He knew it would probably give her a scare, but he figured she wouldn't mind. He surfaced for air about arm's length away from her, smiling and wiping his face to clear his vision*

She grinned. "Thank you," she giggled.

She watched as he submerged and wondered what he was doing. She leapt and kicked frantically when he tickled against her legs, thinking it was a fish or other small aquatic creature: a surprised cry escaped her lips. When he resurfaced she splashed him playfully and backstroked away from him a little.

"Very funny," she smiled, rolling her eyes, and giggling.

*He laughed and splashed her right back*

Aw, you had to know what I was up to...

*As she swam away from him, he swam to close the distance, ending up right in front of her when she stopped kicking. The waves were rolling lazily, bobbing them up and down like buoys. The shore was still close enough to reach without much effort, but they had drifted into deeper waters*

She giggled. "I dunno, I'm awfully gullible, if you look it up in the dictionary I'm pretty sure they have a picture of me there... instead of a definition."

She continuously moved her arms to remain afloat. The seafloor was about two feet or so below her, but she didn't mind. She actually liked not having the floor there, being able to rely solely on herself, instead of the environment, or overbearing people. The sea made her feel a little more free, and that freedom made her happy. A giddy child-like smile came to her face.

"...So..." she said softly, her voice trailing off. She wasn't sure how to finish the sentence, or if speaking was necessary: she very much enjoyed his company, with or without talking.

So....how long can you hold your breath?

*He smiled slyly and dove under again, feet meeting the bottom and pushing off, propelling him toward her, her legs treading water in a slow cyclical motion. He took hold of her ankles, moving as though climbing her body, but instead of moving to the surface, he pulled her under. When she was at eye level, he smirked, not entirely sure she could see it through the haze of opening one's eyes in saltwater, but doing it nonetheless. He made the same tickling motion, this time on her sides before pushing her back to the surface. He moved around below, popping up behind her again, chuckling softly as he too started kicking to keep afloat*

She arched her eyebrow when he asked her that question and, luckily, quickly reacted, taking in a fast gasp of air before being submerged by him pulling her down. She wriggled as he tickled her beneath the surface: she was quite ticklish in certain places, he found one. As she resurfaced she gasped for air and giggled, the little tingling sensations of his tickling still reacting in her skin. She turned towards him as he popped back up from the watery depths and smiled.

"Long enough," she responded, answering the question as an afterthought. She swam backwards again, at least, until she found the sandy bottom of the coast. She sifted the dirt with her toes, making sure she didn't land on, God forbid, a stingray.

You know, I think you like me chasing you.

*He smirked, moving once more to close the distance. Where she stood the water was not nearly as deep, and he stood easily above the surface, lapping waves moving along his torso. He splashed her playfully a few times before moving even closer, standing right before her.*

"So what if I do...?" she grinned.

She splashed him back each time she was assaulted by the salty water, giggling. As he lessened the distance between them she looked up into his eyes, reaching up to move his hair away from his face. She bit the corner of her bottom lip and let her hand fall from his hair to rest gently on his chest. She smiled a little, that familiar heat taking her cheeks as she blushed, bowing her head. She giggled again, though, nothing amusing was happening, it was more out of shyness than anything else. She tried to force her own hair out of her eyes, the weight of the water made her curls wavy, making her hair seem about an inch or so longer than it usually appeared. She wondered what would happen if she would just look up and kiss him; her eyes darted across the water, back and forth as she thought about it. She hardly noticed herself bringing her other hand, balled slightly into a fist, to rest over her mouth as she thought.

Eager footsteps carry me along the shore, feet sinking into the sand until I get close enough to the water. The cooling waves lap at my toes, teasing me, whispering, 'Come and play, Thyri. Come and play with us!'

With a grin, I can resist no longer, stripping my sundress off over my head. I throw it further up on the beach in a heap, and bound into the waves.

Some people swim. I frolic. It's the elf in me I guess. I love to be wet and I love to play! So I don't dive as much as I splash and fall, letting the water catch me, bouncing into the wet embrace of my elemental playmate. Mother Ocean supports me, gently rocks me on her swells, slowly carrying me back to shore on her tide. But I am stubborn and playful, and I wade back out to play the game again.

My hair sticks to my skin, droplets of sea water rolling down my body, tickling as they slide over my curves like a lover's fingertips. I can't stop smiling at the feeling. The sensuous mental comparison cause my nipples to stiffen almost painfully taut. Or maybe it's the cool breeze, or the water, or maybe I'm just randy, as usual.

Too many people in the water...so I head for the deck. My lap top is present, just like always, and I open it, debating my posts for Rider and the private eye thread. I wish I could see GG, I wish my Muse wee here. I wish I had someone to fuck...but I don't. So I try to force my brain into creative paths, pulling back from the need to hurt and be hurt.

*flying tackle of Luna* I have some interesting new gals I want to try threads of, but I could use some help with the actual idea forming.

I posted Miki for you.

What sort of girls?

looks interested

The girls of DC (mostly the barely legal ones, like Supergirl, the Martian Manhunter's daughter, and so on, but also Black Canary).

Also, I have the sudden urge to revive my replacement for Superman idea, as a one on one instead of a group thread.

You are having a moment, aren't you? For most of them, what type of storylines would you like to see (outside of sexual mayhem)? Mysteries, evolution of powers, good vs evil?

Not sure yet. For the replacement of superman one, that's fairly obvious (multiple female characters would be welcome in it). As for the others...hmm, let's see. Well, the Black Canary one could be one where she bets herself in a fight? Uh... I have a Supergirl as a stripper one (because Kara would totally do that, just because it would make her cousin angry/upset/uncomfortable/pissed off). Any others, I'd probably have to give some thought. The Manhunter's niece could be a shapeshifting alien who finds herself face to face with someone she can't hide from? Or something. I dunno.

strolls in from the beach, wet and seeking two things: a towel and some food. Hello friends, anything cooking on the barbi?

Places her chin in her hand and thinks, not quite sure how she can help but listening intensely

Poor draggy. It must hurt to have so many ideas that you can't get out.

Hears a new voice and turns to face the newcomer

Hello stryker, welcome to the Outlook. Not sure what the specials are but if you grab a server, I am sure they can help you out. Towels are kept to the left of the bar.

grins

Yesh. Especially when I finally get ideas out and never get any interest in them v.v

~Sighs, and lays a laptop over his thighs, fingers dancing along the keyboard as he looks up forums. He finds one of particular interest, and then clicks on it, deciding to post in an rp thread for newbs like himself to practice in, and for older, more experienced l33t people to hang. The name of the chat is mulled over his lips, as he purrs the name, finding it to be reminiscent of a newspaper in his local area.~ "The Outlook, eh?" ~He clicks on the "Reply to Thread" button, and, since he feels rather whimsical and daring today, he types up a post about what he has been doing for the past few moments, before closing his eyes for three seconds, and opening them groggily, as if falling asleep. He feels the warm sun on his face, radiating light over his skin, the warm ocean air tickling the skin exposed in the area where his red floral design covered Hawaiian shirt was left open, and over the smooth, beige skin of his legs, a pair of sandy brown sandals the only things keeping his feet depraved of the pleasant island-like weather. He stands up, and his white and gold board-shorts cover his knees, as he tucks the laptop underneath his arm, and heads into the kitchen, taking out a tall, slim can of orange juice which hadn't existed before he came into this room, and then taking a seat up on the kitchen counter to type up a post in the forum about typing up a post in the forum.~

~maniacal laughter as I read the above post~

Welcome to The Outlook!!

Voice is husky, alto verging toward tenor. The speaker, the brown skinned woman with the look of a wolf in her light brown eyes. She raises a hand and gives the newcomer a wave.

Maybe because you limit the types of characters you are willing to write/play with? I know for myself that I much prefer making up my own person instead of trying to fit a pre-rendered person (unless their back story and motivations intrigue me~like Dawn or Miki)
