*Leaning in close to him, snuggling, letting a hand rest on his leg.
Thanks again for the tea. Were you kept away by some troubles? I hope things are better for you now.
She accepted the hot chocolate from Noon with a smile and a murmured thanks. (Good guess)Taking a sip, she relaxed back in her recliner and idly listened to the conversation
*Wanders in from the rain, shaking water from his hair in vain, much to the dismay of the staff. He heads straight for the bar. Rum straight tonight. He slugs back two shots before finding his usual recliner*
Evenin' folks.
He winked at her playfully. "I'm good at guessing things." He nodded at her acknowledgment.
Evening Fr33k. You know, you can take all my rain too. I wouldn't mind.
i turn towards her and shrug.
Took up too much room on the threats. And I decided to change it up a bit. I`m going to add more to it later.
Ah, I see. That's basically why I changed mine. Illiana let me borrow space in her library thread to list them in, and then I just linked to that post.
I'm fine Avellan, how are you?

Evenin' folks.
He shakes his head lightly, smiling invitingly at the hand resting on his leg, keeping his comments to himself for at least a moment. As she snuggles in, though, he slides a familiar arm around her, holding her against him, sharing a bit of warmth.
"Troubles? No. Just got really busy for a few days, and that, in combination with being too tired for my mind to really work well enough to carry on a conversation, pushed me out. But I think I'm good now-think I'm caught up on my work business." He leans over and kisses her nose playfully. "Sweet of you to be concerned, though."
I've got enough rain, thanks. You keep your portion. Never know when you might need it...
Hmmm. Decides to cancel the rain-dancers.
That won't be until late summer.
*glares at*
*smiling at the welcoming arm around me, feeling warm against the cool ocean breeze.
Well, that's good. Sometimes it gets that way. I'm trying to hold up under some issues myself. Lots of financial woes.
He nods down at the elf, then moves his leg slightly against the hand that's resting on it, his gesture becoming playful. But then he nods sympathetically at her words.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, darlin'. Didn't know that you were in any financial distress." He pouts slightly and then leans down and kisses her cheek once again, before sliding a hand through her hair, gently curling it with his fingers. "I hope you make it out okay."

That won't be until late summer.
*glares at*
*Tilting my head up into his kiss, turning so my lips brush his cheek.
Now it's my turn to thank you for the concern. It looks like a long difficult summer, but if I can get through until the end of July, it should be better again.
Well then you should probably invest in a large water tower for all that rain...*smirks, awaiting his own glaring at*
*slips in, and sips hot cocoa*
He narrows his eyes at her, playfully glaring back.
"Well, good luck to you, sweetie. I'm glad to hear that you'll be able to survive."
He smiles and then relaxes again, leaning slightly up against Thyri as he readjusts, his hand gently rubbing up and down her side. "So how has the writing been going for you?"

Smiles at the comment.
hearing about all this water reminds me of a time not long ago when I got soaked to the core.
I look at Thyri with a smile.

Everyone's a freakin' smart ass today.
Heya Raven. About time you showed up.

You know, I think I might be onto a theory. I started reading again, and just finished my book yesterday. Of course I started another right away. Anyhow, I also was inspired to write a response to my one remaining active role play, the same day I got my partner's response. That's a huge improvement for me. Before, during most of this slump, I had stopped reading anything for about a month. So my theory is that reading also must inspire me to write.

Reading stimulates the same areas of the brain that are important for writing. Your theory is quite founded.
