He grins playfully as she sits down next to him, his eyes admiring her again, out of habit, before he looks back at her face. "Oh, but you ARE golden, darlin'." He smiles playfully as he leans in to kiss her cheek softly.

He nods back at her. "Well, I'm not the devil, but I am a devil, and if Cait wanted to play with...well, whatever, I certainly not be opposed to it." He winked at her teasingly. "Not like that's anything new."

*Smiling at his always flirtatious nature, the man is incorrigible!

You're always a rapscallion, aren't you, love? And you have the ladies eating out of your hand most of the time, myself included.

He smiles playfully, tilting his head slightly as he open his bottle of water to take a sip of it before answering. "Not always, love. I mean, Cait just remarked that I'd been a gentleman, despite her suspicions about me. But I certainly can't say that I'm not incorrigible in my own way. It's just paid off for me too often to get away from it."

He grins, enjoying the smile on her face, trying to avoid outright laughing as Cait seems to choke on her drink. He peeks at her out of the corner of his eyes, his lips curling up in barely restrained amusement.

"You're not interrupting anything, Milady. Noon and I were just making conversation. He's been such a gentleman, I'm beginning to grow suspicious," she took a sip of her water, her eyes twinkling.

Her eyes turned somber for a moment before she answered, "I hesitate to answer, Milady Thyri." She wrinkled her nose fondly at that blasted elven intuition.

As for her conversation with the Rogue, she was glad she had wiggled out of it. She had a sneaking suspicion that there was many a conversation with him that could get her into trouble if she wasn't careful.

*Watching her reaction thoughtfully, I decide to take the bull by the horns to deflate the building discomfort.*

Let me see if I can think of what it might be that's troubling to you, or that you think could be troubling me. One: you are worried if things are alright between us, since I'm friends with Glad too? Set your mind and heart at ease. I see no reason not to be friends still. I understand both sides, each from their own perspective, and its just something each of you will have to come to terms with. I'll help each friend anyway I can, of course, but I'll not interfere or take sides.

Two: you are concerned about me falling into depression over the memory of my husband, David and his death in Desert Storm because tomorrow is Memorial Day and its a holiday that brings such memories back to mind?

*My expression darkens with the pain I still feel, even after all this time.*

It's something I have to deal with, it's true. But I'm trying not to dwell on it, trying to keep my mind occupied with the company of friends and things to think about. If I were not online and here, engaged with people, that is when you should worry. I am actually considering taking a different step this year, and confronting the problem head on. Rather than trying not to remember, maybe I should post a remembrance thread so that everyone can recall their loved service members who sacrificed. It might help to know I am not alone in these feelings. It might help others too. What do you both think about it?

She sighed softly and relaxed.

"Milady Thyri, 'tis not so much matters with Glad. Those will resolve themselves in time and you all were his friends before you became mine. So, I can understand if you all...." she paused and then continued, "that's not it, but the last you mentioned. I didn't want to bring it up but I know it must be on your mind, Milady.

I wrote a post myself to put up on the morrow. I do it every year. Write something that is. It's something I feel strongly about. Freedom is not free and we should remember those who gave and those who gave their all. I think that is an excellent idea."

Noon nods quietly in agreement Cait's last sentiment, but has little enough to add on his own behalf. "Indeed. I can name at least man I went to high school with who died in Afghanistan. It's always good to remember." He lifts his beverage up, then sips on it thoughtfully for a moment.

I'm glad to hear your opinions. I'm inclined to do it then, especially since Memorial Day is an American holiday, but our friends around the world also have friends and loved ones who gave everything in defense of their own countries, or for that matter, many other countries are free today because of American servicemen and women. Through the internet, there is no reason they cannot share the sentiment with us too, even if they have a similar holiday in their own countries. I don't intend to post too much information, it is the internet, after all. Just maybe a first name, and maybe branch of service and conflict, or even peacetime service. I know we have Veterans Day to remember those who served at all, Memorial Day is to remember those who gave their all, in my opinion.

Do you two happen to know that down here in the South, we also have a Confederate Memorial Day on a separate date? And it's recognized as a completely different holiday down here, just as serious as this Memorial Day.

Noon chuckles and nods. "Yes, I live in Georgia, so I know about it. I don't really observe it-most years it passes by without my ever noticing it, but I do know about it." He winks playfully at Thyri.

She shook her head, "I didn't actually. My time in the south has been fairly small."

*glances at her writing.* One more to go now... though I am truly looking forward to the thread with Apollo since I love playing TheMorrigan. Well, my version of her, that is.

Noon smiles and then leans way over, peeking down at Cait's writing playfully. "What are you working on, Cait?" He winks at her as he casually slides a hand up to play with her hair, gently teasing it with his fingesrs for a moment. "Anything good?" Ignoring his own writings for just a moment, his eyes teasing as he glances up at her.

She glanced up and stops, not expecting Noon to be so close...

"Ummm, yeah. I think so. My take on The Morrigan. I've been wanting to bring her out to play for awhile now and Apollo gave me the chance to do that. All of my threads I really like. A couple more than others.."

*ponders the sexy busty greenhaired queen of the underworld* Mmm, Morrigan....

He grins teasingly at her as she comes up short, realizing he's leaned in closer to her. He winks and pulls back slightly, nodding. "Sounds interesting. I could write more supernatural/mythological stories, I think-those can be fun. But I'm saturated in terms of my number of threads at the moment." He shrugs, leaning his wicked hand on her shoulder, resting it there even as his face pulls away.

"Glad that you're enjoying it, though. I'll have to peek in on that thread at some point and follow along, if it's good." He winks at her again as he peeks down at his own writings.

"This one will be fun, I think. A warrior tasked to complete three challenges to become a god and who better than the Lady of Death to be involved? I tweaked Morrigan though. *snicker*

He perks an eyebrow at her curious and amused. "Oh? Tweaked how?" He continues to play with her hair, but only idly.

Noon chuckles and nods. "Yes, I live in Georgia, so I know about it. I don't really observe it-most years it passes by without my ever noticing it, but I do know about it." He winks playfully at Thyri.

I didn't know you lived in Georgia, Noon.

*Sipping my diet soda, wishing I had a Reeses Cup.

Sorry that I kinda zoned out there. I was watching a You Tube video about proper handgun shooting techniques. I hit the mother lode of instructional videos!

Hi Dragon. Hey, I'd like to bounce an idea off of you to see what you think.

He nods at her and grins, shrugging. "I guess I often have little enough to say about myself. I live in a suburb of Atlanta." He winks as he watches her sipping her drink for a second.

I've been thinking of playing a character of a sex robot, perhaps from the future, who finds herself activated without an actual owner. Think of Soruyama's artwork where it's mostly robotic, but with female face, and parts. In the areas where it appears to be flesh, its actually a sort of polymorphing alloy, like in Terminator 3, that can take the shape and function, appearance and feel of flesh parts. Anyhow, the technology of it can be worked out later.

The challenge for me would be in roleplaying the character as it becomes self activated, and goes through the process of finding out about the world and setting she's in. along the way, she meets up with men or women or both who may either use her, try to help her, or who knows what. Obviously its not heavy on plot, this idea, more of a character concept, and see what goes from there. But one key part is that the robot is from the future, and has the ability to teleport to different locations. Something went wrong with the teleport and ended her up in the past, which is actually modern times. So she's beyond any technology that currently exists, but not beyond the concept of a sex robot.

Heh. Is it sad that no modern concepts of a sex robot or android really seem anything but creepy to me? Especially that socalled SuperRealistic one the Japanese are working on...watching the tests on that made me wretch....

He watches her for a moment, knowing that she was slightly distracted by what he was doing, but he's utter unapologetic in continuing to let his practiced fingers dance around the nape of her neck. "Hmm, sounds familiar, almost. I feel like I've met her before."

He grins at Cait teasingly, watching her face for a moment, and then finding his eyes drawn back down inexorably to her legs for a moment. He shakes his head and reaches over to get himself another sip of his beverage.

A lot of people feel that way. I don't know of any women who have ever looked at one, or even something like a Real Doll, and wasn't put off or creeped out by them. This is an idea that's just been kicking around my head the last couple days. I'm still not sure it could work, but it would be challenging to play the role.
