A lot of people feel that way. I don't know of any women who have ever looked at one, or even something like a Real Doll, and wasn't put off or creeped out by them. This is an idea that's just been kicking around my head the last couple days. I'm still not sure it could work, but it would be challenging to play the role.

For some reason, when I think sex droid, I think Six. Not sure why, but she seems to be the only character I've seen that fits the role.

Grins quietly as he imagines Thyri as a sex droid. He eyes her for a second, smirking, but keeps his thoughts to himself.

Six? I'm not sure I know that one.

Tripping the Rift....

See, my issue with sex droids is no matter how well built or designed, they still LOOK and act synthetic. And until they get around that, until they make an android that is literally indistinguishable from a human woman, that's how things will stay.

He watches her for a moment, knowing that she was slightly distracted by what he was doing, but he's utter unapologetic in continuing to let his practiced fingers dance around the nape of her neck. "Hmm, sounds familiar, almost. I feel like I've met her before."

He grins at Cait teasingly, watching her face for a moment, and then finding his eyes drawn back down inexorably to her legs for a moment. He shakes his head and reaches over to get himself another sip of his beverage.

She looks up again from working on her last post. A twinkle of merriment sparks her eyes.

"Really now? I'm sure the realm is littered with that kind of female so you probably have. Especially how your roguish personage gets around to introducing himself to the female population." ;)

He sees the sparkle of amusement in her eyes, and he nods in response. "Well, I suspect you have the right of it. I really should be ashamed of myself for spreading myself around in such a manner." He grins at her, his expression quite the opposite of shame, as he goes back to studying her.

He's enjoyed flirting with her, off and on to lesser extents, for weeks now. He lets her catch a little twinkle in his eye, full of mischief, as he enjoys looking at her. Ah, but he's been especially well behaved, for a rogue, so even though he leans in to let his lips brush her cheek, he decides to hold his true wickedness in check.

Ah, I haven't seen that. I can understand your feelings, but what would be the difference then, if they are indistinguishable from a real woman, why not just have a real woman?

He thinks he's fooling me any? I doubt it. He knows I've seen him being the devilish rogue with Milady Thyri. I've been a fly on his wall as well. Oh Yea.. the rogue doesn't fool me even though he is behaving.

The twinkle in his eye is contagious. She laughed. "Well, I daresay, if you're proud of yourself, you might as well share the wealth, hm?"

Well, most guys either lack experience with a real woman, or don't like certain aspects of many women's personalities. Myself, I'm just antisocial :p

He can practically sense what she's thinking at this point. Well, just because he should be ashamed doesn't mean he has sense of it. He enjoys his amusements, and yes, he does share it often enough. "Oh, I suppose I agree. After all, I do enjoy it, and I think that many others also happen to enjoy my company-to varying degrees. As I said earlier, what's the fun in behaving? Very boring that way."

Chuckling, he glances at her thoughtfully, catching the twinkle in his eye reflected in hers. He doesn't even bother to pull back, keeping his face next to hers, close enough to kiss if he takes the urge, looking at her. "I've been a fly on the wall around you often enough to know that you enjoy your fun."

*laughs*

Ah, good to know, I guess. :D

There's also my rather odd interests. It's rather hard to find hot girls who geek out over the same things and are still smart. Usually I find the ones who only geek out over the same things because "they're cool" or "because all that pop stuff is lame".

*Noticing his look, guessing his thoughts, I answer with a smirk the unspoken words.

You know I could play it. I just can't play Mother/Son incest. *Shudders involuntarily* Some things I just don't have in me.

Yeah, tell me about odd interests. I know I'm not the only female on Lit who likes Bull riding; Asa is also a fan of PBR. But bull riding and guns? That apparently seems weird to people.

I don't get the bull riding, but I suppose I can understand the guns. I prefer blades myself, but...

Yeee-haw and hell no. I love watching bull riding whenever I can catch it on tv but damn those guys can take a beating. I own a .357 mag, .24 calibur pistol and a small snub nose "pea shooter" as my brother calls it. I can shoot a pistol but I'm far more accurate with a rifle. I do, however, prefer my swords. :p

He shrugs at her and smiles. "There are some things that people find interesting that it's just difficult to imagine me either finding arousing or interesting enough to write about." Goes back to imagining programming Thyri to do wicked things.

Well, the guns comes from having been married to a soldier, and having grown up with a dad and a brother who like to shoot. It was actually my grandfather who taught me how to shoot a handgun. And there is no feeling like it. Shooting my sister's AK today made me feel like Zeus flinging thunderbolts! It's a feeling of power.

As for bull riding, I was just bored one night back in 2003 and was flipping through channels and there was nothing else on that I wanted to watch, so I put it on a bull riding event where they were having a special ride that if the guy stayed on for the 8 seconds, he would win 50,000 dollars! I remember thinking that it was a hell of an hourly wage! Since then, I've seen them ride for a million, all hanging on one ride! It's the fastest growing sport in America other than Nascar.

And the nice cowboy butts don't hurt anything either!

200 miles per hour in a circle isn't a sport. Now, four or five hundred...that's a different story...

In fact, I'm watching an event on Versus right now that was originally a pay per view event back in April. I'm glad they are rerunning it.

I have one pistol, a .22 magnum revolver. The rest I have are rifles, but also .22 caliber: a single shot bolt rifle, and a Henry lever action cowboy style rifle. I'm a huge John Wayne fan so I love that Henry rifle! It's so beautiful too, bright polished brass receiver and barrel lug and butt plate. The bright shiny brass sets off the wood grain of the stock so beautifully!

I know. I would never agree to write a story like that, but I was writing one with a drow elf, and the guy asked me to play his character's npc mother for a short part of the story. Then he started telling me the back story about how she had this curse on her that she was attracted to her son. The curse was put on her by her rapist, who was the man who fathered the son off her by the rape, so it was all screwed up. By then I had already agreed to play the npc part for that part of the story. Once it got going into the scene, it just got crazy.

I agree. I can never get into Nascar. It's like watching golf on TV. Wasn't it George Carlin who once said it's like watching flies fuck!
