Very little moves as she appears on a nearby cliff overlooking the ocean. Silently she stood watching the ocean, the water further out, toward the horizon only seemed to undulate, while closer to the shore, the waves started to crash, washing up on shore. The moon had risen and stood sentinel over the deep dark blue. Stars littered the blackened sky. There was little or no breeze but what blew off the sea itself.

Listen. The world was slowing down. Everything was becoming hushed with only the nearby night creatures making their usual noise.

Wrapping her shawl more tightly around her shoulders, she made her way down to the beach. Her bare feet leaving prints in the sand that would be gone when morning came. It was of little consequence. Her hair, unbound, lightly lifted in the small breeze as she walked, she was a solitary figure against the watery backdrop.

A wolf comes running along the beach~silver, gray, black, white. Regal. She stops a few yards away from her strong one and sits on the cool sand, her tail sweeping the beach. This one needs a hug, maybe doggy kisses.

The wolf bounds closer and tugs the loose hand that dangles by the Lady's side into her mouth. Sharp white teeth are careful, golden eyes blaze. The wolf pulls...once and again, before the salt spray of incoming tide dampens her tail. A delighted yip...Mist comes, engulfing. and from it, brown skinned wolf girl steps, dressed for the night breezes.

"Sometimes the things you have to do, go against what you think you should do. That is the way of the world, m'Lady. The fact that you are dealing with two different viewpoints as equally valid only make things feel harder. It is what it is. If you need me...I am around."

The woman bows. The mist comes. The wolf leaves...

She stopped seeing the wolf and smiles as the sharp doggy teeth do no more than tug at her hand and she knows, in that moment, who it is. A delighted smile comes to her face as she watches as the tide comes, making the wolf yip in delight. Her heart lightens with the smile. As ever is her way, Luna comes, imparts her wisdom and her love, just as swiftly departs again. Cait understands it, for she is the same. Even strength must get their strength from somewhere at some point. She was no exception. For now, she hung on. Raising her face to the night sky she whispered.

"Thank you, Luna. I'll remember. I promise."

And so she went... until the darkness took her from sight.. she didn't have all the answers... she barely knew some.. and as for the rest.. well... those would have to wait.

*stands and watches in silence as a mysterious woman and then a wolf appear and then simply walk off again.* How very curious. *Considers that he may have had to much to drink.*

While a part of her was working on things back at the Mansion, the rest of her was her. It was too late in the morning for her physical workout or her sword one.. so today, she just chalked it up as a lost cause. Her heels made a soft tap on the floor. Her chosen dress for the day, brushed against her legs as she walked to the balcony, requesting a tall glass of water.... and on a quick thought, had them add a strawberry to it. While she waited for her drink to arrive, she drank in the view before her.

Her footsteps took her to the shoreline and eventually to the pier. Standing on the end of it, she gazed out to the horizon and said a little prayer. Glancing up at the night sky where it met the horizon she spied a star that twinkled.

After watching people come and go for a bit, Deep decided it was time to go. He walked back to his truck, drove to the nearest town, rented a motel room and then went to a cowboy bar. The beach had been pretty, but it was to quiet and it wasn't for him.

Noon takes a quick seat in the Outlook, settling in. Calling over a server, he requests an Irish coffee and a bottle of water. He then gets to work writing away, enjoying his idyllic surroundings as he lets his mind begin grinding into gear.

*The lady enters. Hoping not to disturb anyone, she decides to take a seat in the nearest empty lounge chair*

Taking a break from her scribblings, she wandered into the Outlook. Dressed casually in a summer dress and sandals she strode into the room, stopped a waiter to order a drink and slid into a chair next to Noon's.

"Hello Rogue." She grinned and spying another lady she inclined her head, offering the lady a friendly smile.

Noon glanced up from his writing after a moment, rubbing at his eyes slightly, before he noticed a couple of people around him. A lady who he had never met, to whom he offered a quick smile and a nod, and the ever-lovely Cait, dressed fetchingly in a light dress and sandles. He let his gaze slide over her playfully as she sat down next to him.

"Good evening Cait-how are you doing?" He inclined his head politely before he leaned over to give her a kiss on the cheek, glancing back at his writing for a second before he looked to her once again. "Been keeping yourself busy lately?" He gave her a charming smile as he leaned back slightly in his seat.

She returned the kiss on his cheek and glanced toward his writing.

"Evening, Noon. Please, don't let me interrupt your writing," she inclined her head, "I am well thank you and yes, I've been keeping myself busy. Seems I stay out of trouble that way." She grinned reaching for the glass of ice water brought to her by one of the waiters.

He stopped to take a sip of his drink, watching as she sipped at her water. He grinned at her in an obnoxiously playful way. "Staying out of trouble? But what exactly is the fun in that? Seems a delightful waste." He chuckles and winks at her, his eyes almost reflexively glancing down at her legs before he looks back to her face.

"Would be better if your idle hands were occupied with the devil's work, so to speak. Don't worry about my writing, it's been slow-going enough, seemingly, so you surely can't do anything at all to interfere with my pace." He shrugs slightly.

She lifted a hand to neck, her fingers idly rubbing against the skin right behind and below her ear. He made her grin in amusement.

"I'm not sure my hands would know the devil's work if it tried. I'm beginning to think I'm a glutton for punishment, picking up two more story lines. In the veery least, it keeps my brain active. How are you, Noon?"

He smiled at her, noticing her amused grin. It was a pleasing sight-making ladies smile was a particular talent and a joy of his. "Well, perhaps you're not so much a glutton for punishment as you are starved for activity. That, or just you find yourself eager to please." He resists the sudden urge to stick his tongue out at her.

"I'm doing great, actually, all things considered. Work has been kicking my ass lately, and left me tired, but I had a very nice week, overall, and it's Memorial Day weekend-extra day off and plenty of time to relax and enjoy myself-as you find me today." He grins widely at her with a delighted pleasure.

"As for your hands, I'm sure you've allowed them to become the devil's playthings to a certain extent before. My own hands are very accustomed to that sort of work, as you might imagine." He reached out to catch the hand that was at her throat, holding it as he kissed the knuckles, his eyes looking up at her face wickedly as he let his lips linger a moment.

*Walking quietly to the Outlook patio, I offer a wave of greeting and a smile upon seeing Noon and Cait, and head over to a table close to them. I detour over to give Noon a hug, then Cait too, before stopping at the bar for a drink of diet soda, then finding a place to sit and peruse my idea thread to see if anything inspires me to write or if I can come up with a new idea.*

She watched him silently as he took her hand from her neck, kissing the back of it. "I have no idea what you mean, dear Noon. My hands have never been the devil's plaything."

She was trying really hard to keep a straight face, knowing good and well to what he was inferring. She bit her tongue in response to the eager to please comment.

"Starved for activity? Me? I keep busy." That was about the extent of her explanation.

"Milady Thyri!" She returned the elf's hug, "Come join us. We'll flank Noon if you take the lounger on the other side of him. "He won't stand a chance then."

She watched her friend closely, looking to see if she spotted any sign of discomfort or sorrow in the lady elf's face.

He chuckles at Cait's response, and her lack of response to his comment, as he let her hand go. "Never the devil's plaything. All right then." He grinned at her again and then chuckles. "But it's good to know that you're not starved for activity. You'd hate to let us start worrying about you." Still chuckling softly.

He smiles happily as Thyri slips in and gives him a hug, hugging her back tightly before letting her go that she could proceed to hug Cait. "Always a pleasure to see you, my dear friend. I hope you're doing well." He grinned at her and let his eyes followed her as she went to sit.

He glanced at Cait, when she made the comment about flanking him. He tries to keep his straight face, but knows that his amusement at the idea must be showing through.

*Cait's hug brings a smile to my lips as I take the seat on the other side of Noon.

Don't let me interrupt anything you two. I've been thinking lately of starting a new story of some sort to give me a reason to make myself write. It will occupy my mind and keep my skills going, hopefully. Now if I can just think of an idea that I won't get bored with, and find a good partner to write it with, I'll be golden.

*Spotting Cait's scrutiny, I quirk a brow in a questioning look.*

You are worried about me, Cait? Why?

*Overhearing his last comment to Cait, I can't help but remark,

You ARE the devil Noon! Trying to get Cait to play with your thing are you? ;) :D

He nods back at her. "Well, I'm not the devil, but I am a devil, and if Cait wanted to play with...well, whatever, I certainly not be opposed to it." He winked at her teasingly. "Not like that's anything new."

"You're not interrupting anything, Milady. Noon and I were just making conversation. He's been such a gentleman, I'm beginning to grow suspicious," she took a sip of her water, her eyes twinkling.

Her eyes turned somber for a moment before she answered, "I hesitate to answer, Milady Thyri." She wrinkled her nose fondly at that blasted elven intuition.

As for her conversation with the Rogue, she was glad she had wiggled out of it. She had a sneaking suspicion that there was many a conversation with him that could get her into trouble if she wasn't careful.
