The Place (closed)

Trevor's hands landed on her hips and pulled her into him. He started to kiss her back and she went with it, tilting her head and taking the kiss even deeper. Her hands slipped down to his shoulders as her heart beat picked up.

Krista had never done anything like this before. Not kissing a guy she more or less just met. She felt his body pressed to hers and it felt good. Krista felt like this was going to be okay, like he wasn't making a complete ass of herself in the least bit. When she felt him harden between them, she broke the kiss and stepped back. Licking her lips she blushed brightly, "I'm sorry Trevor, I didn't.." she turned around taking a step away from him but stopping.

"I don't know why I did it Trevor, I'm sorry." Krista started to turn back to him, "It was nice and I would like to again, but...I guess your 'live life' really got to me. I'm always told to do that, but then I am always worried about work and school. I just....I took a risk." She smiled softly to him to show him she wasn't mad, at least not at him, maybe herself. Krista liked Trevor a lot, she didn't want to screw it up.

Trevor smiled and spread his arms. "Hey live life is right. No need to apologize. I liked it and the best part about it is we took a risk and we lived. I dont know about you but i feel fine." He winked, "The Chinese food might give me the shits but i think i will be okay."

He moved back to the food and popped the last piece of beef into his mouth. He turned back to her and moved over to her. His hand came up and brushed her hair. He smiled, "The next time you have the urge to kiss me you go right ahead. I will make sure I always have mints on me."

"What would you like to do next? We can hit up some minigolf or whatever you want. If you are tired i can take you home. I know you probably have an early day tomorrow."

Krista smiled at Trevor but it started to wilt when he talked about the Chinese food. Maybe he was too good to be true after all, since that comment did sound like every guy she knew, including Eddie. She sighed silently and moved over to the food and sat down with him.

She hadn't eaten much and now she couldn't it seemed. She put hers away and sipped on her drink, smiling to Trevor at his offer about the risk of kissing him again. She did enjoy the kiss very much, but she certainly didn't need to be rushing into anything with him, after all he may turn out like every guy she knew. She looked back over the lights of the city and debated on what they should do next.

"I don't know, if we do too much today then come later we won't have anything left to do." She laughed softly, "We can always sit here or I know of a lake close by. We can talk a bit, if that isn't too boring for you. I do have an early morning, in fact I do just about every morning." Her eyes turned back to him as she took another sip of her drink, remembering how his lips felt against her own as well as his hands holding onto her hips. Krista really did enjoy that.

Trevor sat down and grabbed his coke, settling in to see the veiw. He looked out over the city and let the cool night air blow across his skin. He nodded and said, "Okay we can look out and see if we cant see anything cool happening out in the city. Sometimes i wish i could live in vegas, think about how much shit there would be to do there everynight."

He shrugged and sighed, "That would probably end up boring after a while too though. Maybe we are just to cynical about things." He was rambling now. Trying to find something to talk about or do. He just shut up then, settling to just sit beside her and let her talk if she wanted too.

Krista nodded her head, she agreed that while Vegas was exciting to them, it was probably way past boring to those that lived there. "Have you ever thought about just traveling? Packing up and living in one state for a few months or years before moving on to the next one when it grew boring?"

She didn't know why she asked that of him, guess it linked up to what he talked about, living life and finding exciting things to do. Her eyes looked to him, "I think it would be a lot of fun and you couldn't say that you weren't living since you stayed in one place until life got boring and you moved on to the next one."

Krista could actually see that happening, pooling money together with friends and buying a RV or something to live in while they just lived in each state. That took care of rent at least and they could find quick jobs just to provide for them until they were ready to leave again. The more she thought on it the more that idea sounded pretty damn good.

Trevor thought about that for a moment. "That's not a bad idea, but that seems more like something to do after retirement right. I want to live life, but at some point responsibility has to come into check. I could myself like totally retiring and getting an rv to just drive places." He said.

After a few minutes he stood up and brushed off the seat of his pants. "Alright lets get you back home. I wouldnt want you turning into a pumpkin on me." He said holdjng out his hand to help her up. "Is it wrong to think about all the free cinnamon rolls you are gonna be able to hook me up with now that we're friends? You gotta prompise not to let me get diabeties."

Krista looked back to the lights, Trevor was right, "True."

After while he stood and she glanced up to his offered hand. Smiling she took it and stood, "I highly doubt I will turn into a pumpkin, but if I do I guess you will start having pumpkin rolls instead of cinnamon ones." Laughing softly she reached down and grabbed the left overs, mainly hers.

Heading for the stairs again, "Care to make me a good deal on a pair of shades?" Krista laughed as she slowly climbed down the stairs to the street below. She waited for Trevor to catch up to her on the street before walking with him to the car.

"I dread going in tomorrow if nothing more than knowing that shit head will be working." Krista had not let Eddie enter her mind but once tonight and she was grateful for that, but she knew the moment she got home she was going to start worrying about it. After all he wasn't known to make threats and not carry them out. Her eyes turned to Trevor and she prayed that Eddie found someone else to fuck with instead of pulling Trevor into some bullshit.

Trevor took her home without trouble. He could tell she didn't want to go back to work. He also knew it wasn't because of work, or a complete hatred for her job. Was Eddie causing that much trouble for her? Did she fear him so much that she could barely stomach going to work. He hated that, he didn't want her to hate going to work because of the people at work, nobody should ever have to go through that. Hating the job was okay though.

Trevor reached over and put his arm around her seat and looked at her as they pulled up to her place. "Krista I don't want you to be afraid of Eddie. Not for any reason. Eddie has done a good job making people think he is tougher and more important than he is, but remember this, he is a stupid fucking mall cop. No more no less. Sure he is a prick, but he is an insignificant prick."

He sighed and tapped his head. "It's a mind game. Don't let him into your head, just blow him off and ignore this stupid threats. He has no power over you or anyone else in that mall."

He gave her his best smile, "Trust me."

Krista smiled at Trevor, it was sweet of him to care so much about her when it came to Eddie, but it wasn't herself she was so worried about. Sure he called her names and that sucked but she wasn't worried for herself.

"Trevor, it is not me that I worry about. Eddie is an ass, but I deal with him, but he threatened you Trevor. I don't want to see anything happy to you or even him trying to make your life shit because of me."

She sat there for a minute more just thinking on everything, "He is a dick and I know that, I have always known that, but you really don't need that kind of crap around you. Especially not because we had lunch together and I wanted to see how your first day went. Eddie has had a fantasy about me for as long as I can remember. He just doesn't know how to take no for an answer from me. I guess cause he thinks he is just that special or something."

Krista smiled to Trevor, "Just be careful okay." She leaned over and quickly kisses his lips before opening the door and getting out. She really didn't want to leave Trevor, but she knew the morning would come early.

Krista glanced over her shoulder and waved at Trevor before going into her house and up to her room. She laid on her bed and just thought about everything, including the kiss. She couldn't wait to see Trevor tomorrow and found that she was thinking more about him than any other guy she had gone out with. Closing her eyes for a moment she rested for a bit, at least that is what she thought she was going to do.

Eddie arrived to work early the next morning. His anger seethed within him. Today was the day Krista would realize that he was the right thing for her. He felt that the only reason she was showing interested in that guy Trevor was to piss Eddie off, or maybe get back at him or something. He didn't like that, and it was time Krista treated him with some respect.

He was parked behind the security patrol cars and he waited for her. On cue her car pulled up and slide into an employee space. She was already wearing her uniform and looked great. Something about the uniform made her look amazing. Eddie felt his excitement tingle through him.

Eddie got out of the car and walked toward her, quickly rapidly. She was digging in her car for something, so as he came up she was bent over and her perfect ass stuck right out toward him.

With a forceful shove he put his hand on her ass and shoved her violently back into her car. He was on top of her breathing into her face. "Hi beautiful. You're looking good today. Here's what is going to happen now Krista. Are you listening?" He asked shoving her head into her seat. "You are not going to so much as say hi to that new prick. You are going to go to work like normal, then when you are done you and I are going to go have some fun." His hand trailed down to cup her ass.

"I hope we understand each other Krista." He slapped her ass hard, and then back out and left.

Krista got to work the next morning, early as usual. When she parked she slipped from her car only to remember her name tag had fallen down between the seats the night before in her rush to get home and shower. Leaning back into the car to dig for it she actually started cursing herself for not doing this sooner.

Before she knew it she felt something push her into the car and a large body leaning over her. Feeling the breath on her cheek she tried to get a look at who it was. It wasn't until she heard the voice, Eddie's voice that made her try to push back. He used his strength to hold her down and gave her instructions before moving his hand over her ass. When he slapped it and moved again was the first moment she took a breath.

She started to ease back out of her car again, her eyes searching the lot for him and not finding him anywhere. Only then did it actually hit her, the threat that Eddie had made to her. She started to shake and had to sit back down in her car. Krista was determined not to cry but she could feel it coming on.

Krista fought with herself and finally got out of her car, locking it and going inside the mall. She moved to the store and tried not to think about what happened. She knew she couldn't let Eddie get away with what he had done, but his boss wasn't due into the mall until the next day. Krista opened up the store like always and started to fix the first round of rolls. She let her mind wander on what she could do to prevent Eddie from doing anything today....if only his damn boss was working.

Trevor woke to a beautiful morning, the sun was bright and he had slept great. Maybe it was all because of Krista. It had to mean something that the first thought in his mind when he woke was of her, it brought a smile to his lips. He showered and dressed whistling a tune, not a tune he knew, just a tune. A merry jingle if it were, perhaps he was just so super excited.

He wanted to do something nice for her. Krista would be elbow deep in cinnamon and suger by the time Trevor got to the mall. So on his way he stopped by Noah's bagels and bought a couple of bagel's with cream cheese.

Krista had her back to him as he walked up to the counter. With a grin Trevor raised the bag and he waved it to make noise and get her attention. "Now I know that they aren't sweet and sugary, but I figured you might like something a bit less cavity causing." He said cheerfully.

Krista was putting in a batch when she heard a bag rustling behind her. She glanced over her shoulder seeing Trevor's smiling face. She turned back to what she was doing before she stood up and took a deep breath. Again she was determined not to cry over what had happened. Turning around she tried to put a smile on but she was sure that it didn't reach her eyes, "Hey."

She quickly glanced out of the store windows looking for Eddie, but didn't see him anywhere, "It is just not a good time Trevor. I have a lot on my mind right now."

Krista hated doing it but she turned from him and stepped into the back room of the store. If she was around Trevor much longer she would probably break down on him and she didn't want to do that...she didn't want to do it at all. Her hand gripped the desk as she took gulps of air trying to calm herself down. She didn't know what to say to Trevor about what happened. Krista didn't want him in trouble just because Eddie was being a dick like always.

Trevor stood in surprise as Krista literally shut him out and left him standing there holding the bag of bagels and chewing his lower lip. He felt his stomach drop. What had he done wrong? Did he do something last night that had pissed her off? He sighed and slowly turned to go open the sunglass hut.

The day sucked. He sat there most of the day rubbing his hands together replaying the night over and over in his mind. No matter how he thought of it, he couldn't think of anything that might had upset her enough to explain what she did this morning.

He sighed and began to doodle on a piece of paper. His entire body felt lethargic and heavy. It just went to show how quickly Krista had made an impact on him. He actually really liked her, it was depressing that something had happened.

Trevor glanced up to look out over the food court, it was then he saw Eddie at the Cinnabun talking to Krista.

* * * *

"So here's the deal. You are going to meet me at dock four when you get off work. We will go on a nice normal date. Then you will give me a nice loving blowjob. And that's just our first date. Got it?" Eddie said.

Krista heard Trevor leave and she gripped the desk even harder as she felt the tears burning at her eyes. She was going to figure this out, figure some kind of way out of this mess with Eddie. He couldn't make her do something she wanted to do.

She collected herself and went back to work. At lunch she came out of the shop and took a look at Trevor. She could tell something was bothering him and as she took a step toward him she glanced up and saw Eddie watching her. She groaned and turned away, heading to get something to eat. Krista milled around before heading back to work with very little in her belly. This whole thing was eating her up inside.

As she came back to the counter there was Eddie waiting on her. She moved over to him as he dictated to her what was going to happen. She lowered her voice to him, "Eddie, I don't like you, leave me alone. I won't be meeting you tonight or any other night, now please leave." She was giving it one last ditch effort to get him to leave her alone. She turned away from him, her eyes settling on Trevor who was watching them. Krista frowned and started to mouth sorry to him but her head lowered as her eyes cut back at Eddie. She turned again and headed into the back room. She didn't know what else to do, Eddie's boss wasn't there and she couldn't call hers in. She was stuck, short of calling the actual police but then they would just refer it to security and Eddie was security.

Eddie tisked as Krista stormed away from him. He smirked and turned around slowly, looking out toward the Sunglass booth. With confidence he strode over to the pretty boy new guy and smirked. Trevor sat back and glared at him with unimpressed eyes. "Don't you look like a dog with a bone. What do you want?"

Eddie shrugged, "Well I just got myself a night out with Krista." He chuckled, "I guess she didn't dig you too much and decided on a real man." He flicked a pair of glasses, tipping the tower they were on.

* * * *

Trevor watched Eddie walk away. He couldn't believe it was true. He and Krista had a great time last night, there was no way she would ever go for a creep like Eddie.

Still he stormed over to Cinnabun as Krista came out of the back room. "That's cool Krista. If you didn't like me, that's fine. But to have Eddie rub your date in my face is fucked up." He spat, then turned back and stormed back to his post, fighting back tears.

Krista took a moment to collect herself. She was so mad and yet still couldn't think of a way out of the situation with Eddie.

Slowly she came out the back room hoping that Eddie was gone and he was but seeing Trevor standing there with anger in his eyes didn't help in the least. His words cut deep and before she could say anything to him he was gone back out of the store.

Thankfully one of her co-workers walked in about that time from their lunch, "Kim, take over for a minute please." Krista was already so torn up she didn't know if she would make it out of the store before the tears actually started to fall. At this point though she didn't care, she had done everything she could to keep Trevor out of it and Eddie was determined to keep pulling him in.

Krista stormed out of the Cinnabun and headed straight for Trevor. She saw Eddie watching her but she didn't care, not anymore. She reached for Trevor's arm and at the same time felt the first tear slide down her cheek, "Trevor wait, please." She knew from prior experiences with guys that she may not get a chance to say what she wanted to so she didn't stop there, "I'm not going out with him, he wants me to and I told him no. He grabbed me this morning, pushed me into my car and told me not to talk to you or there would be trouble."

Trevor didn't want to hear it. He saw Krista coming and he tensed. He didn't want to hear her defense, he felt betrayed and horrid her presence only made him want to cry. Trevor opened his mouth to stop her as she came up to him, but she grabbed his arms and pleaded with him to listen.

He listened and felt his rage build. The only problem was that it faded from being rage with her, and shifted over to Eddie. Trevor's eyes lifted up from Krista and found Eddie, staring at them from the escalator. He nodded and looked at Krista one more time.

Trevor shoved violently away from the booth and stormed over to Eddie.

Eddie grinned, "Trouble in para...."

Trevor swung with all his might and cracked him across the jaw. Eddie tumbled over like a sack of cards. "You like forcing girls you stupid motherfucker?" Trevor grabbed him and hit him again. "You listen to me you fucking prick, you wanna treaten and mess with people fine, you listen to this threat. You so much as fucking fart in Krista's direction, I will beat you to death. I don't care about anything else. I will literally beat you to death, but it will be slow and painful. I will beat you, then maybe I'll let you heal, then I'll beat you again. So stay the fuck away from her."

Trevor shoved off of Eddie and spun back and walked back to his booth. A customer was looking at glasses and Trevor smiled, instantly going back into friendly mode. He glanced at Krista and reached out to touch her should gently as he spoke to the customer.

Krista could see Trevor's anger building and she prepared herself for the worst of it. When he looked past her she knew she had lost him and her tears started to come a little faster. When Trevor stepped away she turned to follow him but seen where he was headed.

Krista started to say something, even call out to Trevor, seeing the smug look on Eddie's face as Trevor moved up to him. Krista didn't have a chance as she watched Trevor clock Eddie and had him on the ground before she could even breathe. She didn't know what to say or even do. She glanced toward Steve's cart and no one was there. She glanced around and while there were some people looking on, for the most part everyone was milling around like nothing was happening.

Krista's eyes moved back to Trevor as he turned toward her. As much as she hated him to see her like this she barely moved. Her eyes moved to Eddie and she could see the rage in them, knew this wasn't over with, not by a long shot. Her attention shifted when she felt Trevor's hand on her shoulder. She reached up and gripped his hand like it was the last rock in this sea of turmoil that seemed to be her life.

Slowly she wiped away the tears and gave Trevor's hand a squeeze, "I need to get back. I will be back when my shift is over." She gave Trevor a slight smile and left him to his customer. Krista moved back to the store and saw Kim looking on. Krista just shook her head as if to say not ask and Kim knew not to.

Krista went to the back room one more time to collect herself, hoping that this day would come to an end and fast.

Eddie vanished after he recovered from Trevor's punches. It was funny how people just let Trevor beat the guy. Eddie had made enemies around here it seemed. The guy got high over having power and wanted to use that power to push Trevor around, just like everyone else was being pushed around. When Trevor wasn't having it Eddie folded like a house of card.

Trevor felt content, like the hero triumpant over the local villian. The best part was that people had just let Trevor stomp the punk. He wondered if people would bring him flowers.

At lunch Trevor took a risk and got some Chinese food. The clerk wouldn't even charge him for the food. He just thanked Trevor for the wonderful show and wished him a good day.

After Krista's shift, Trevor watched for her to come to him again. Looking hopeful.

Krista was happy that the shift was over and even before she started to walk out she looked around for Eddie, thankfully not seeing him there. She headed over toward Trevor's cart.

Upon seeing him she smiled softly to him but didn't say anything until she was close enough to him no one else would hear here, "Thank you. I didn't expect you to do anything but thank you anyway." Krista felt the stress of the day already, just because Trevor has knocked, hopefully, some sense into Eddie that didn't mean Eddie wasn't going to come back for some payback.

Her eyes kept glancing around, worried about what would happen next before she finally pulled her attention and put it back on Trevor, "I'm sorry for everything that happened Trevor. I tried not to get you involved, but you thinking I would actually go out with that dick. Well that was the breaking point for me. I do not like him and I never will."

Krista rested her hand on Trevor's arm and moved in even closer, "I had a lot of fun last night Trevor and would like to do it again if you want to."

Trevor listened to her and nodded. "Look Lrista Im sorry I got upset. I brought you bagels this morning and you blew me off so i had thought that i upset you last night somehow. When Eddie said you guys had a date it just set me off." He sighed and shook his head. "I like you in a way i have never liked a girl before. Something about being with you feels i dunno right i guess. I couldnt bare to see you with that animal."

He smiled and nodded, "Ive never had a girl ask me on a second date before. How could i resist your smile?" He told her. "Wanna hit up that minigolf course you were talking about yesterday?"

Krista's smile grew as she stood there with Trevor and talked with him. She nodded, "I would love that. I better go, I have to pick something up for my dad on my way home. See you later?"

Krista leaned in and gave him a quick but soft kiss before pulling back and smiling. She turned and headed through the mall. She felt like she was walking on air. Krista liked Trevor a lot and was looking forward to the night when she got to kick his butt in mini golf. She could just imagine the laughs they would have over it.

She moved out into the parking lot of the mall and headed for her car. She knew she had to stop at the drug store and pick up her dad's sinus medication and then she could get home and take a shower. Krista wondered what she would wear tonight.

Trevor sat back in his chair and sighed contently. He felt better that the things with Krista were in the clear and the mess with Eddie was thrown aside for now. Trevor still kept a weary eye out the bastard just in case. But he never made another appearance that day. The mall closed and Trevor sent Krista a text saying he would come get her after he changed.

An hour later he was pulling up to her house wearing a shirt that said "A always get a hole in one stroke." It was abjoke but it was fitting for the activity. He smiled as he pulled up right in front of where Krista stood waiting for him. She looked incredible. Like she had done herself up a bit for the date.

He opened the door and said, "Hey beautiful wanna play mini golf with a real man?"

Krista got home and quickly showered and changed into a jean mini skirt and a red top. She wasn't sure why she picked it but it was fitting both for the anger she felt today and how happy she was now. Slipping on a pair of tennis shoes she went out to wait on Trevor to get there.

When he pulled up and opened the door she couldn't help but smile to him, "Sure, ready to have your ass handed to you by a real woman?" Laughing she slid into the car, leaning over as she closed the door to give him a kiss. Problem with that was the kiss wasn't a quick one and before she knew it she had slid half way into Trevor's lap, her arm wrapped around him and her tongue battling his.

She pulled back and laughed softly, "Sorry...I don't now what came over me. Maybe it was what all happened today...I don't know." Krista sat back, pulling her seat belt on to keep here where she was. Taking a few breaths she tried to calm down and figure out why she almost ended up in his lap. She normally wasn't like that, but maybe, just maybe after what happened with Eddie she was going to grab on to the one good thing in her life.
