You can find allsorts here http://www.theradio.com/

You are a wicked woman (apparently there's more than one wicked woman here lol). That radio station will suck me in and maketh me listen to even more jazz. So here's one for you: Slacker Radio. That is my favorite online radio site. When I have editing work, I usually clap on the headphones and listen to that. It goes for hours without any kind of slowdown, and it has never crashed on me. I have Vista on my computer and I think it makes a lot of things get funky and not work right (yeah I'm a techno-idiot; that's the best way I can describe it), but I never have that problem with slacker.

So do you like Bonnie Raitt? I love her and have for many years. Gawd what a voice! Sassy likes her, too. (I think Sassy and I have pretty much the same musical tastes.)

Gorgeous Bonnie

Sexy Bluesey Bonnie

Bonnie Does James (so to speak)

Can't listen to the Radio unfortunately it's for America only and she's not really my cup of tea either (what a stupid expression lol I hate tea .....very unEnglish of me I know)

I cracked up when I read this. I just found out about slacker last week from a friend of mine who is, well, a slacker. This is what she does with a large chunk of her day, on the company dime. She programs her personal selections, has them broken down by category and era. Many, many selections. The fact that it's so detailed shows how much work she actually does, considering she doesn't have internet service at home. I want her to remember telling me about this when her annual review rolls around. :D

When I was a corporate girl, a writer and editor, I used to listen to jazz on cds all day. I had a office hidden away in a corner and basically I was writing and working with text all the time. Aside from meetings, it was very quiet. People would come in, look around and say "you get paid for this?" Of course there were also horrible deadlines and often I worked nights and weekends. Lol, in retrospect it had some pretty bad aspects. But I wish I'd had Slacker then.

ok music my specialty!
for sex I'd have to go with any albums from Grizzly Bear, Department of Eagles or Neutral Milk Hotel.
gets me going ;p

How come? It's just KT Tunstall fer chrissake! It's not like the banning I got from u-tube for safe_bet's Lesbean Kissie Song surely? And that was just sweet.
Rights management, m'dear. KT's music rights probably are sold to different companies on each side of the Atlantic divide. Annie could prolly search her version of YouTube for the song and find it, if you gave her the title and such. Or maybe not. Pain in the arse thing, frankly.

I liked saying "arse," even if only by typing it. I'd take a pint of bitter now, please.

Actually, no. But in my baseball cap (bright yellow, Pittsburgh Pirates, though I'm a Mariners fan), with an ounce of shag in the pipe (unlit--I stopped smoking long ago), and a fleece pullover (way warmer than dressing gown, and I do live in Seatlle), I might strive to solve, in my idiosyncratic way, what Watson might trashily name "The Case of the Incomprehensible Poem."
