The Senate, Task Two!

Will Mitch McConnell back Trump’s delusional last-ditch battle? So far the signs are ominous

This has been a tumultuous week, to say the least. But if there was one silver lining — even before Joe Biden’s apparent or imminent victory — it was the blessed 36 hours in which we didn’t have to hear Donald Trump’s voice. After his obnoxious declaration of victory at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, he stuck to primal tweeting until Thursday evening when he emerged to make the worst speech of his career. He disconsolately rattled off a fantasy laundry list of voting irregularities and declared, “If you count the legal votes, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us.” Reading haltingly from a script, he rambled about media conspiracies and lied about vote-rigging, saying, “Ultimately, I have a feeling judges are going to have to rule” which he has always believed was his failsafe. It set a new standard for awful, which is really saying something.

I don’t know if the Democrats can gain those two Senate seats in Georgia. But you can bet that Mitch McConnell will do everything he can to prevent it. If that means helping Donald Trump turn this country inside out over the next couple of months so that his people stay active and engaged, he will do it. And so will his troops. If the last four years have shown us anything, it’s that any niggling concerns Republicans might have about destroying our democracy are easily disregarded, when it’s a question of maintaining their own power.

Despite the opportunities this cycle the best Dem's can hope for is a 50-50 split in the senate with Kamala deciding the votes. There is a good chance that Loffler will lose but Perdue to win, making a 49-52 Repub majority!

This is the face of radical-Republican contempt

The DNC better pour money into Georgia soon. Public Enemy #2 is still out there plotting his vile revenge on Biden. Could he be impeached for his fuckery? Enquiring minds want to know!

Biden team making plans to blow through any McConnell ‘roadblocks’: report

President-elect Joe Biden is already in the process of working with his transition team to overhaul executive orders placed during his predecessor’s time in office, according to The Washington Post. Among the immediately planned adjustments: setting up a coronavirus task force in recognition of the coronavirus global pandemic. The task force, which will be formed Monday, could begin meeting within days and will be co-chaired by former surgeon general Vivek H. Murthy and David Kessler, a former Food and Drug Administration commissioner.

Biden may have to lean more heavily on executive orders than he would have hoped considering Democrats will hold a narrowed majority in the House of Representatives while a possible minority in the Senate looms. The final makeup of the Senate is not yet clear and won’t be until Jan. 5 with two runoff elections in Georgia. Democrats would need to win both races to take back control of the Senate — with Vice President Kamala D. Harris serving as the tie-breaking vote — while Republicans would retain a narrow advantage by winning at least one of the seats in the runoff.

Loffler is limp, but Perdue is tougher. Dem's need both seats to fuck up Mitch's evil plans.

More Republican Senators seem open to another huge stimulus — despite McConnell’s resistance

While COVID-19 vaccines are on their way, the impact of the pandemic has worsened in the United States due to large gatherings, holiday travel and the ongoing resistance of some to wear a mask. Eviction rates are climbing, contributing to more COVID cases, bankruptcies are up too, and small businesses are struggling to stay afloat or closing their doors forever.

It has been more than six months since the House passed the HEROES Act, which would have provided the necessary funding to help Americans make it through the final slog of the pandemic. President Donald Trump said that he supported the bill, even telling Democrats that he would be fine doubling the bailout. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) refused to allow a vote, however. After holding up negotiations and refusing to meet with Democrats, McConnell now is complaining that the stimulus is important and “we just don’t have time to waste time.”

The sticking point between Democrats and Republicans has been that McConnell wants a legal protection for corporations so they can’t be sued for the next five years if they put employees in danger. There’s already a lawsuit underway after a Tyson Foods plant in Waterloo, Iowa lied to employees about safety. The suite revealed that managers were even making bets about how many of the staff would get COVID-19. So far, over 1,000 workers caught the virus and five have died.

Public Enemy #2 still at Large!

Critics slam ‘robot’ Kelly Loeffler for short-circuiting when asked if senators should be dealing stocks as she did

Appointed Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) drew a lot of criticism for her performance in the nationally televised debate between her and her Democratic opponent Rev. Raphael Warnock.

Viewers noticed that questions from the debate moderators earned a response from Loeffler that had nothing to do with the question itself. When she was asked about whether she’d take the COVID-19 vaccine, Loeffler went off about “radical leftist” and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and didn’t say a word about the virus that has killed over 9,500 people in the state.

The View’s Ana Navarro says David Perdue’s empty podium had more warmth than Kelly Loeffler in Georgia debate

The women of “The View” came together Monday to bash the Georgia Senators and the Sunday debate. Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) didn’t even show up, forfeiting the debate to his Democratic opponent Jon Ossoff.

Kelly Loeffler asks Trump supporters for money on Parler — and it massively backfires

Appointed Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) attempted to raise money on the right-wing-friendly social media site Parler. It didn’t go well.

Loeffler, like other Republican Senators, isn’t doing anything about President Donald Trump’s loss. As a senator, Loeffler could propose a bill giving confidence to Trump around the election and call for all Republicans to vote on it. Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) could do the same, but he too is mum on the subject.

“Your net worth is literally $500 MILLION dollars (sic). Quit begging for money and write your own check,” said another.

And yet Trumpski si a "Bizillionair" and the Chumps are giving him $200 Million!

Go figure????

Mitch crapped on everybody, Donny, the Senate, the House, the people .....

It will be a miracle if the democraps win the Georgia Senate seats.

It will be a miracle if the democraps win the Georgia Senate seats.

Good. It will speed up the inevitable. The country must be broken up in order for part of it to survive. You can not fix stupid...but you can let them destroy only their states
