I awoke one day at 45.
Finally started to feel alive.
Took a look around and walked away.
I don't want to die without ever being young,
So I think my walkin' time has come.

She walks away from me.
My eyes follow her nakedness as she pads across the room.
What I wouldn't give for a glance over her sunlit shoulder
And a smile.
She doesn't even know I'm watching as she leaves
On her way to make some coffee.
Mornings make me smile.
