What's the sweetest thing you've seen, heard, smelled, touched, tasted, or remembered today?

I'll begin with my hazel-eyed, curly-locked, 4yo daughter's words to me as she trailed me through the house at bedtime:

"I just want to be where you are, Mama."

This little girl came into the library today with her mom and had this pretty flower in her hair. She came over to where I was working and said she wanted to give it to me.

Playing In the pool with my nephew who is 7. He was wearing his bike helmet and playing with a spatula and basketball. He is so sweetly unique.

my seven-year-old daughter, who instead of calling dinner the other night "Frito boats," refers to them as "burrito floats."

my nine-year-old little girl, who tried to take her 5yo sister to go potty in the bathroom at McDonald's but returned almost immediately. the little one had decided that she couldn't go, because the toilets there were, as big sister described them, "animatronic."

Today someone gave me some of his savings to make a donation to a charity of my choice. Very sweet and kind.

Maybe even sweeter is that the money was accrued in his "swear jar." So see then: Saying "fuck" all the time can be for the ultimate good of mankind.
