My grandmother and the people of her generation used skedaddle to us kids when we'd be in their hair...well that and the equivalent in Polish, or I think it was the equivalent and not some swear word.

Yes, and I think the Hindi version in the middle is read left to right, and I know the Urdu script is read right to left
