wow, are you doing that? November?

Yes, doing it again. Last year was the first year I finished, well, wrote the 50K words. I did an anthology, short stories based on the similar theme.

I'm also doing an October NaNoWriMo prep contest on Writing.com, something that will help me write this novel.

I have a great feeling about it

That's cool, I hope it goes well for you and the words flow!

And this is all happening because my sister found a couple of prom pictures, from 1982. I had an immediate flashback to that night, then over the weeks, something began to develop in my mind. Then, when I was talking with one of the Muses, the story came to me like that <snaps fingers>.

I have the protagonist's name
I have his first love's name
I have a first scene in mind
I have many, many ways to take this

Sorry, the contest....what's it all about?
Not that I'm going to enter, I'm a reader not a writer, just curious.

This is the website. It explains it better than I could

October NaNoWriMo Prep Challenge

I work in an insurance company's IT. I spend too many hours surrounded by nerds, geeks, and otherwise individuals that have lengthy arguments on Kirk vs Picard.

Both NaNoWri and the Prep Contest will help me not scream at them
