The Virgin Sacrifice (Closed for Emstar303)

"Oh, that's all right," Lily assured him, patting his arm lovingly, when Fen apologized at telling the friendly elf their real location. "Don't worry about it." There was no way for him to know better. Fen was not used to deception, neither was Lily, but she was just afraid given their circumstances and did not want to risk word getting back to the witch where they were. She was probably just being paranoid. They were all the way across the continent! Plus, they were going to kill the witch anyway. Right? Right.

After her father returned, the four made their way to where the barmaid told Lily her uncle resided. Roland lived in a fairly tiny house at the edge of the city. When they knocked on his door and told him who they were, Roland didn't seem exactly ecstatic to see them.

“William? I’m surprised to see you here. Is this Lily and her husband? And who’s this? I thought your wife passed?”

"Aye. She did. 18 years ago, in fact," he said simply. "Um, but this is Elizabeth..." her father trailed off, clearly not sure how to explain their unique situation.

"Uncle Roland," Lily said, drawing his attention to her. "Will you please let my father and our friend Elizbeth stay with you for a while? They'll find work soon enough but in the meantime? Please. It's a terribly long story, but basically..."

Several hours and several drinks for Roland at the tavern later, and he'd finally seemed to grasp the seriousness of the situation. A few ales in and he was much more amicable to the idea of his brother and some strange woman living with him for a while. They hadn't mentioned Fen was the dragon, just that Lily had been chosen as a sacrifice to a dragon so they'd had to escape. Lily did introduce Fen as her husband to be - it wouldn't be proper for him to be here otherwise. Her uncle was perceptive though, and did suspect there was more to the story. However, like her father, he was a simple man who respected a man's privacy. He valued his alone time, so wasn't exactly thrilled to have them as guests, but would not turn them away as they were family. Plus, it wouldn't be all four of them. Lily had explained that Fen and herself were moving to the next city over to find work.

The farewell with her father was heartfelt but brief. They didn't want to let on to her uncle anything was wrong. Perhaps they should have been honest with him, he was family, after all, but her father thought it safer to hide the gritty details from him, at least until Lily and Fen defeated the evil witch.

Lily hugged her father goodbye and promised him she would return. He squeezed her tight and held on for an extra moment before finally letting go. "Take care of her," he said to Fen. To her uncle, they would seem the words of an overprotective father, but he didn't know of the powerful witch they faced.

After saying goodbye Lily and Fen left hand in hand, Lily with a small lump in her throat at leaving her father and the others behind. They walked away from her uncle's house, down the road towards the main part of the city. "You mentioned you were hungry earlier and that you'd need to sleep soon. Do you want to find somewhere to rest? Maybe there's a cave system nearby or something?" She smiled warmly at Fen.

Fen was glad William and Elizabeth were going to be safe. They were good people. It was a milestone on this journey, though, and it meant they had to deal with the witch now. Fen felt like he could really use some sleep, but he wasn’t sure how to make that happen.

“I don’t know, Lily, my last sleep was interrupted, but normally dragons sleep for days at a time. What would you do while I slept? What if they track us down while I’m asleep?” He rubbed his face in his hands, and then held Lily’s. “I’m tired, but I think I can make it another day or two, if we can stop the witch quickly. I’m nervous, though. We don’t have a plan yet. Maybe I should sleep. What do you think?”

Fen wasn’t used to involving other people in his decisions, but he also wasn’t used to having such complicated decisions to make. It didn’t bother him, going to Lily when he had a question in his mind. He wanted her to be as involved in his life as possible. The more entwined they could be to each other, the better, like when she had introduced him to her uncle as her husband to be. Fen knew it was for appearances’ sake, but his heart had fluttered at the words. He realized that was what he wanted. That was the word he’d been unable to use with Galla. It wrapped up lover, life partner, companion, and promised all into one word. They’d talk about it later. Right now they needed to worry about not dying.

Fen told her he was tired but was afraid to go to sleep for fear "they" would track them down. The ominous "they". The king and the sorceress and their men. Probably. Lily didn't really know if they'd actually come. How hard would they actually try to find them? How badly did the witch want the heart of a dragon?

She looked at Fen. He was asking her to decide what to do. He looked handsome as always, but there were circles under his eyes. He looked tired and stressed. They'd both been through so much.

"I think you should rest," Lily decided. "You need to be at full strength if we're going to defeat her. We've probably got days ahead of them anyway thanks to your flying." She smiled at him and gave his hand a squeeze. "How many days was your last slumber?"

“Maybe you’re right. Why don’t you go back and stay with your family? I don’t exactly know how long it will be, but I would guess three or four days. When I get older it’s supposed to be longer. I wish I could sleep in this form, but I can tell that won’t work. I can find a cave somewhere and then come back? I don’t want you to feel stuck watching me sleep for half a week….”

It wasn’t a good solution, and Fen hated even saying it. Lily was right, though. He needed to sleep.

Lily loathed the idea of leaving him after only just reuniting with him, but she knew she couldn't survive without food or water for days while he napped... unless she brought snacks! Hmm...

She thought on it, but in the end she looked into his beautiful eyes and agreed. "Okay, but I want to know where you'll be... in case I need to wake you early for any reason."

Fen was nervous about leaving Lily alone, but he couldn’t think of another option. He was glad she was going to come with him to find a place, though.

“Want to ride?” He undressed and handed her his clothes. Lily climbed on his back, and he took off into the air. Fen remembered a story from his books that had included a sea cave, so Fen checked the cliffs nearby. Luckily, there was a spacious cave with easy access to the clifftop via a grassy slope. It was an ideal situation, and Fen flew Lily back to the forest near her uncle’s cottage.

“I’ll be in that cave until I wake up, and then I’ll find a meal before I come find you.” After a heartfelt goodbye, Fen hid his clothes in the forest and flew back to the cave they’d found. He didn’t think he’d ever gone this long without a real sleep, and once he curled up on the stone, even being away from his hoard couldn’t keep him awake.

Lily felt a pang in her chest when Fen flew away and disappeared out of sight, but she knew it was for the best. He needed to rest up if they were going to take down a witch. They needed time to come up with a plan too.

"Back so soon?" Elizabeth joked when Lily came knocking on Roland's door.

"Where's Fen?" Her uncle asked when she entered.

"He's visiting his family in Galiea for a few days," Lily answered hastily.

"Odd you're not with him," her uncle observed.

"Um, not really. He's working at his father's business for a few days to make some more cash. I hope you don't mind me staying a few more days... I'll make myself scarce."

"Hmph," Her uncle just huffed and returned his gaze to the fireplace.

Lily shared a look with her father then went back into town, just wandering until evening. Her uncle didn't trust them, she could tell, but she didn't want to tell him the truth because she didn't trust him either!

Lily couldn't help but feel on edge the days while Fen slept. She wished she could fast forward the days until he woke.

While Fen was resting on the third day, Lily went to the tavern with Elizabeth and asked about the witch's daily habits. Since the witch didn't know Fen could turn into a human, maybe they could ambush her somewhere unexpected. She would tell Fen what she discovered when he awoke.

Fen was always ravenous when he woke up. It was hard to focus on not being seen. He followed the sea cliffs until he got far enough down the road, and then he was up above the road with a few flaps of his mighty purple wings. As much as the dragon loved flying with Lily, it was nice to fly unencumbered. He wasn’t familiar with this area, so it took him some time to find a meal, especially since he didn’t have any gold with him. Once he did, though, he devoured that stag with gusto.

Rested and Full, Fen flew as close to the seaside town as he dared before landing and shifting into his human form. He walked through the forest naked until he reached the tree where he’d hid his clothes, and then dressed. Thankfully, he seemed to have avoided detection. His steps slowed as he approached Roland’s cottage. He couldn’t wait to see Lily again, but there was nothing else to delay them. They had to deal with the witch now. Fen was worried, and his hand was shaking as he knocked on the rickety wooden door.

There was an undercurrent of anxiety under her cheerful demeanor while Fen slept. She knew it was silly. He was a massive dragon! He could certainly defend himself from most anything. Still, though she knew this it was hard to be apart from him after reuniting only so recently and sharing such intimate moments. She had to keep reminding herself he would come to her when he was rested. It had only been a couple days, she needn't worry yet.

Several days later around midday Fen returned. Lily flew to the door and pulled it open. "Fen!" She exclaimed. She threw her arms around him and squeezed him tight. "I'm so glad you're back!'

After a loving embrace, she pulled away and turned to Uncle Roland. "Uncle, Roland, I can't thank you enough for your hospitality. We'll definitely be back to visit and to make sure dad and Elizabeth aren't causing you too much trouble."

"Oh we'll be out of his hair in no time. Elizabeth is meeting with a family to be their housekeeper and I've been looking at places to buy. He'll be back to his lonely bachelor ways in no time," William said. He hugged Lily goodbye. Lily had already said goodbye to all of them before so she didn't feel the need to wait for Elizabeth to return.

"Give Elizabeth my love," Lily said. She hugged her father tight then left with Fen at last.

It was finally time to face the witch.

Lily led Fen away from Roland's small home and down the coast. "Did you have a nice rest? Feeling bright eyed and scaly tailed?" she asked.

Hugging Lily melted away some of Fen’s anxiety, but he was still worried. He had only recently gained something that he was truly terrified to lose. His future with Lily meant more to him than all the gold in his hoard, more than anything. If he lost her, he didn’t know if he would burn down the whole kingdom or just waste away in grief.

“I did, Lily. I am rested and well-fed.” He wanted to joke with her, too, but he was too worried. ”I’m still nervous, though. Was it hard, living with your uncle? He seemed...disagreeable.”

They kept walking down the road while Lily told Fen about the past few days. He had really missed her. Even hearing her voice made him feel like they might be able to pull this off.

Lily was glad he had his strength back. They needed every ounce of strength he had, and they had to be smart too. They couldn't let the sorceress trap Fen in her magical net again.

"Oh, Roland was fine. He's just a little grumpy," Lily said, waving Fen's worries away. They had more important things to worry about than her uncle's prickly temperament. "I spoke to Elizabeth about the sorceress. Unfortunately, she said she doesn't keep a usual schedule, and she rarely leaves the castle. She'd been sending Elizabeth into town every few weeks or so to get alchemical supplies. She's sorry she doesn't have more information. She did say the king's a bastard and most of the men working for him are too so she wouldn't blame us if we burned the whole castle down." Lily let out a little nervous laugh, "But um, I don't want to do that. I only want to target the witch. I just want to be sure she'll never come after you again."

She looked into his handsome face. His worried expression mirrored her own. Her eyes were shining with emotion. She took his hands in hers and squeezed, relieved to be by his side once more.

Fen didn’t want to burn down the castle either. “Agreed. But that means we might have to go in, right? She doesn’t know I can take human form, but she might recognize you. I won’t let you get close unless there’s no chance of getting caught.” He knew he couldn’t tell Lily not to come at all. She wouldn’t listen.

Lily sighed. "Okay. I don't like it but I understand. I'll be the maiden in the tale and you can be the hero, but just this time, okay?" she smiled warmly at him then hugged him again.

After their lovers' embrace, Lily pulled away reluctantly. "So what are you going to do? Just march right in and demand to see the witch? You have some crazy clothes in your cave right, you could dress up and pretend to be a mage yourselves, or a royal of some sort... oh but they've probably searched your cave by now. Hmm..." Lily mused, trying to come up with a plan.

Fen looked up and to the side in thought. “No, I don’t think anyone’s been to my cave. At least, if someone has then they haven’t picked up anything.”

He moved off to the side of the path. “That’s a good idea, though. We should equip ourselves.”

He pulled off his clothes, handing them to Lily with a smirk and his regret that they couldn’t just enjoy more time together. Soon, he was transformed and they were flying back. It was a long flight, and night had fallen by the time they arrived. Fen might have struggled to find his cave if his hoard hadn’t been calling to him like a beacon. He landed through the upper entrance, not finding any interlopers, and as soon as Lily dismounted he had lit a fire using some of the logs he’d gathered before.

They might be forced to spend the night. What a shame…

Lily thought it was odd no one had been to Fen's cave yet, or if they had, hadn't stolen anything. Still, they need to equip themselves and they didn't have any money to buy anything new, so off to his cave they went.

After quite a long journey were they kept each other entertained by discussing the sights below, or just enjoyed long stretches of peaceful silence where Lily petted his neck and stroked his horns. She was still amazed at how soft his scales were.

When they finally got back to familiar territory, they circled around his cave a few times, just to make sure there was no one lying in waiting, though the darkness was making it hard to see. lily made him circle around several times, squinting, to make extra sure. Once assured there was no one around Fen descended and landed in the spacious cavern.

Lily slid off him carefully and stretched when she found her footing as Fen immediately lit a fire for her. He was so thoughtful. Once he stepped back from the fire Lily approached him and kissed his cheek. He was still in his dragonoid form. "I love you," she told him, taking his scaly hand in hers.

Fen smiled down at her. “I love you, too.”

Think she would be more comfortable, he shifted into his human form. Holding her chin in his hand, he bent down to brush her lips with his own. It was a gentle kiss, more an expression of deep, comfortable love than a kiss meant to arouse. He whispered against her lips, “so much. I don’t think I could live without you.”

What a feeling to love and be loved. Lily was happy, despite the danger they may face tomorrow.

Fen transformed from his small dragonoid form into his human form then kissed her lightly. He said he couldn't live without her! Lily was smiling even as she said, "Don't be silly."

The cave was just as they'd left it, her makeshift bed out of furs and elegant clothing remained untouched. But night had only just fallen, and Lily wasn't tired yet. Her eyes fell to his library. There were so many books to whittle the hours away with. Once they defeated the witch, she imagined herself lounging against his true dragon form, reading a book together.

She smiled at her shapeshifting dragon lover. He was an incredibly handsome man, with such a sincere, expressive face, but he was also a beautiful dragon, with his cool colored scales of purples, blues, and greens. "Don't feel you always have to be in human form for me, especially in your own home, well, cave," Lily said. "I want you to be comfortable. I like you in all your forms." She smiled warmly at him.

Fen was overjoyed to hear that she loved him in all his forms. If she had more than one he was sure he would love all of hers, too. He’d seen her look to his bookcase, and he wondered if she would like to read. He of course would be happy for her to spend the evening reading, but Fen had been hoping they would have sex. He felt a bit awkward asking Lily if she wanted to, though. Even though they’d already had sex, they hadn’t talked about having sex yet.

Fen wasn’t worried about her rejecting him, even if she didn’t feel like having sex tonight. His confidence in their relationship had grown past that. He was just self-conscious that bringing it up would be awkward—that the words wouldn’t come out right. Maybe he shouldn’t even mention it. He did shift back into his draconic form, though. He wanted to trust her that she liked it.

He took a step toward the books, his naked body sparkling in the firelight, his sheathed cock swinging in the slowly warming air. “We should probably stay here tonight. Would you like to read together?”

"Of course we can read together, but only if there's cuddling involved," Lily said. Her tone was joking but she meant what she said. She'd missed cuddling him the past few nights.

She admired Fen's body in the light of the fire. His scales seemed to twinkle in the firelight. Lily thought she might take off her dress, be naked with him, but the cave was still too cold for that.

"Pick something romantic," she instructed, smiling sweetly. She was far less excited about the book than she was at getting to be held by him again.

It was different this time, being in the dragon's lair. Before, she was sent here as punishment, but this time she was a guest, and being here with her dragon lover brought her a sense of comfort.

When Fen returned to Lily and settled into the furs beside her, but Lily repositioned them so she was sitting between his legs, her back resting against his chest. He could rest the book comfortably in her lap from this potion with his arms encircled around her waist. Lily liked seeing the contrast of his colorful scaled skin against her pale arms and hands as he settled in behind her.

Fen loved the feeling of Lily resting against his body. He was looking forward to holding her that night as she slept, but it wasn’t time for that yet.

“Here’s a good one, and it’s one of the few where the dragons aren’t evil. It’s a really romantic story.” It was one of Fen’s favorites, and its romance between a human and a half-dragon was especially poignant to Fen after falling in love with Lily.

He opened to the first page and started reading. His voice was low and soft, reaching Lily through the vibration of his chest almost as much as the sounds coming from his mouth.

“Albus was thankful that the moss near this clear mountain stream was perfect for bathing: dry and rough without being too hard. He felt like he hadn’t had a good scrub since this damned war had started. He gathered a clump of the plant and tossed it to his friend Bruchus, a fellow knight of Salariche. The whole company was either bathing in the river or drinking on the bank to celebrate their victory. A few were trying to do both simultaneously…”

Lily was intrigued by the story early on when it was revealed the half-dragon was actually a female, but the man she was in love with was engaged to someone else. The story was engaging but Lily was a little distracted by the heat of Fen's body. She liked the rumbling against her back as Fen spoke, his deep voice reverberating against her. Her legs lay out in between his, the insides of his bare legs touching the velvet of her dress. She hiked up her dress a little to feel him skin to skin. She was getting all tingly between her legs at their closeness, her nipples hardening. She squirmed a little in his arms as she listened to the story, enjoying being so close to him in such a quiet moment.

Fen noticed Lily’s body warming. Good, he thought, the fire is warming the cave. I want her to be as comfortable as she can be here. He was getting to the part of the story where the knight finds out his squire is a woman as he stumbles upon her touching herself in the woods. Fen had always just skimmed that part before since it made him uncomfortable, but now he wanted to read it out loud to Lily. It reminded him of their time together.

“It felt an eternity later, that the stars had moved from their fixed places in the sky overhead, when she was finally bare, her undergarments gleaming white on the forest floor, the short pantaloons she wore beneath her baggier pants damp with her arousal, completely sodden where they had touched against her lower lips. In her mad dash to lay down on the forest floor, her clawed fingers snagged her hair tie, snapping it, and her hair tumbled free, a curtain of flame colored foam about her shoulders, the corded locks falling to her mid-back, lost beneath her writhing body. Exposed to the air for the first time in what felt like eons, her breasts were heavy swells - as she moved to grasp them, their supple flesh filled her hands, bubbled over the tops of them in their full bounty, her deep brown nipples erect, firm nubs that teased her palms as she ran her hands over them, once, twice, mesmerized by the own feeling of her skin, smooth and sweat-cooled, the tautness of it reaffirming and mocking at the same time. This was her, she knew it, she could feel it, but who else would touch her like this, see her for who she was? In her lust-addled brain, it would be so easy to do as she’d done time and time again and before, imagine that it was Albus, his hands curious, but praiseful, marveling in the feel of her, in the fact that he was so close, she could balance the weight of his body easily atop hers, imagine herself lost in the crook of his neck, pressing her lips to the juncture of his shoulder and throat, tasting his sweat with long swipes of her tongue, and he’d be gentle, fumbling, maybe a little clumsy, but that would be okay; she could take her time and guide him, but the time for such patience wouldn’t be now.”

His breathing was deeper and heavier now, his scales flush. Lily could probably even feel a bit of stiffness in his draconic cock as she leaned against him, trapping it against his body.

The story heated up quickly! Lily had never read or heard of such a book before. She liked the tantalizing language and descriptions. Her breathing was coming faster. She ran her hand up and down Fen's leg. She could feel his hardness start to poke against her back, a firm, constant presence. A tiny little moan escaped her lips as Lily shifted her body against him, moving a little higher so his bare cock was pressing against her asscheeks instead of her lower back. Her hand moved further up his thigh as he continued to read the erotic story to her.

“‘Albus,’ she sighed into the night air, an open-mouthed pant as she writhed against her fingers, pushing them deeper, harder now, her other hand leaving the swell of her breast to play with the bud of her clit, the deep pink pearl of flesh easily visible from the pale pink of her entrance, the deeper brown of her cunt lips, contrasting against the tangle of brassy colored pubic hair that framed her sex.”

Lily’s movements against Fen’s body were having more of an effect than the words. His cock was getting much harder, now, especially since Lily shifted to trap it between her asscheeks. Her hand on the purple-blue scales of his thigh made him tingle. His feet were falling asleep. His wings kept fluttering against the furs, trying to flap in reflex. Fen couldn’t sit still any more. He shifted his hips, desperate for more contact, more friction.

“Lily, I--” Fen gasped, unable to read any further. He kept humming, vibrating his chest against her back, imagining ripping off her dress with his claws. He could afford it--there were more in those chests nearby. “Can I? Can we?” He stumbled over the words, his tongue thick in his mouth. He tossed the book aside and ran his hands over Lily’s legs, bared below the hiked up hem of her dress. He teased her thighs with the very tips of his claws, in control enough to avoid leaving a mark, but still reminding her that he was a predator. “I want to touch you. I want to do what we did in the inn.”

It was as confusing for Fen as it was for Lily. His thoughts and words were patient and polite, but his body and hands were hungry and insistent. He hoped she would answer soon. If they weren’t going to do anything then he needed to stop touching her before he lost himself.

Lily was very into the story. She was also very into the hard flesh of Fen's uncut cock pressing into her backside. The soft fluttering of wings echoced in the chamber as Fen squirmed behind her.

"Lily I--" he hesitated. She felt his cock grow harder against her clothed behind. "Can I? Can we?" He threw the book to the side and ran his clawed hand over her legs. Lily gasped as a shock of pleasure struck her when Fen ran the tips of his claws against her thighs. His sharp claws could tear into her at any moment, but he was gentle; the slight pressure excited her.

He wanted to do what they'd done at the inn. Lily nodded and angled her head to look at him. "Yes. Yes, please, touch me Fen." she said, a little breathless. She rubbed her body against his. Her hand went to grasp one of his hands and she guided it to her breast while her other hand still caressed his thigh.
