You're sorta right about hang ten altho doubtful you've heard it so much from surfers that you'd call it common. Surfers will mostly use it properly while non-surfers seem to think it's a general term.

That doesn't mean that the border is secured. It only means that illegal crossings weren't being apprehended. Nor is building a wall to further secure the border immoral or corrupt so long as Trump follows the law in doing it. Are you alleging that he hasn't done that?

He also has the power to order all of those on the NSC to be put on the box and questioned about leaks and misplaced loyalties.

There are some restrictions on that as well - unfortunately. Most notably is a restriction that adverse employee action cannot be taken solely on the basis of a polygraph result. There has to be 'other' supporting evidence. "Canary Traps" could prove useful in that respect but they're difficult to set up with anything other than compartmentalized information.

In the case of the "leaker" under discussion, he would have flunked the polygraph WRT the information that he leaked to the NYT. But there would have been NO corroborating evidence because what he leaked to the Times was a fabrication. So they wouldn't have been able to fire him, demote him, or take any administrative action at all beyond what they did, a lateral transfer out of his then current position.

THE basis was the fact that the Intel Community (IC) sent a memo around the world talking about how South Africa or some such place had WMD's and Sadaam bought them. The IC sent out a memo, which was passed to another IC agency in a different country, who passed it on to another agency, who passed it on, etc until we got the same memo back from MI6.

Which made the information "verified" and we invaded Iraq and deposed a national ruler on that basis.

These are THE EXACT SAME people who "verified" the Steele Dossier by using details in stories by the media that the IC itself had previously leaked to those media outlets.

And the pinheads here on the GB want Trump to believe those fools over anyone and everyone else.
