I feel you. I've started a story, which I realized this morning I might be able to turn it into a holiday piece (but I'm so slow, might end up next Christmas, knowing me!) and I wanted them to have train sex, which meant for a meet & fuck, but the trains about to leave the station and I can't get them attracted fast enough!
Darn it.

I'm almost finished mine!! it's goint to be good...but after he first draft I realized it lacked some humor! You can't have a holiday story without a little humor I though! so had to re-write a bit. I'll finish that up tomorrow morning and then send it to my editor. one more rewrite after that and I'll be ready!--Edit to add can't decide which catagory. My main lady is 50 and the guy is in his twenties so technically it should be Mature but it also could be erotic encounters.....hmmmmm

That's what I was thinking....I think I'm decided ...Mature it is. You can get some good votes and hits in that category, although truth be told, I write whatever happens to pop into my head. I really have no choice as to what catagory it goes in LOL Good luck to everyone. can't wait to see some of these entries!

You can submit it any timel you want but, if you submit it too early, it might get posted too early and not be eligible for the contest. Remember to include the info that it is a contest entry but, even if you do, it might get posted too early.
When no contest is going on, it takes about three days from submission to posting, and that might be where hoy got the impression about the seventh.

Thanks Box. I'm glad I held off on submitting it. Good luck in the contest. As usual, I look forward to reading your stories. I make an effort to read as many as I can, but the last two contest had me sun-burnt and trick-or-treated out long before I got half way thru them.

Winter isn't all that sexy to me. Probably because I live where it's merely a somewhat cooler and hopefully wetter version of the rest of the year. I loathe snow, have no use for skis or ice skates and the thought of having to endure such tortures in an-erotic in the extreme. Snuggling is for winter. I suppose I could write a story about someone who fled the frozen north for a tropical getaway gone wrong but that, I believe, would be considered cheating. Wouldn't it?

I don't see why. After all, there are Australians on Lit. and they celebrate Christmas during hot weather. People in American Samoa celebrate the same holidays as people in Alaska, so you could write a Christmas story with presents under a potted palm.
ETA: I was raised in Wisconsin and enjoyed fun in the snow as a child, but I have lived in CA since I was 20, and have no intention of going back except for visits.
