Well, the ultimate question is how much do you think Suits the character more? Do you want to see the character's inevitable decent or do you wnt redemption for him? I had the most amazing conversation with 3113 last night, and she walked me through a basic plot
It's completely different than any nebulous thoughts I'd had. It is truly worth doing, if only for the learning experience of creating an entire outline and sticking to it.
And the great thing about getting mentoring from someone here- is that we could note down where the sex scenes would come in, and weave them into the plot-- something that "normal" novel-writing groups aren't so facile with!

Deffinately a good way to go...the problem I have is that I tend to get the outline written and my muse decides, "well, the story's told, on to other things!"Stella_Omega said:

Well, admittedly, the last time I tried one was in about '98-- but they have such disparate interests, and so many writers are not interested in writing about sex, at all. and in a public group, you know that the lowest common denominator rules.
I bet it's different now, especially if you found a romance writers group-- something that I've finally seen the fun in doing. Romance and adventure, plus fucking your brains out, great combo!

So, I wrote a little fan-fic piece of smut, and now I'm converting it to original fiction, with space ships and such. The fan fic story was all male, I'm changing one character to a woman-- one of the tops.
NOW- I have the idea to write it in more ways-- het, gay, dyke. Same action over and over, no real change in any of the relationships, just different gender combinations. Because hot action is about feelings and emotions and coming so hard you can't see straight-- no matter what your equipment may be.
On another note--
Mpreg? Mpreg??? Mpreg!?!? AHH ha ha ha ha!

I just managed to submit two very long overdue pieces.
Not my AH Fantasy chapter, unfortunately- I still have people to torture in that one. But That one I've added over 1000 words to in the last couple hours, and it's turning out to be steamier than I imagined.
Now I'm going to switch gears and work on Wicked Ways for a bit. That story has been SCREAMING my name.

I ended up pounding out a little over 5000 words yesterday on various projects, in addition to submitting Happenstance as is and the next chapter of IG. I already have Wicked Ways up this morning and I should be able to submit THAT section by the end of the day.
And I've found my thread again for the pirate story I'm writing. My AH Fantasy is a really, really good practice ground for that.
