I have read enough of this thread to believe I have the gist of it.
Nowhere else have I seen its like.
My question is: Is this not redundant?
If one knows to look in this thread, why not just look in their inbox?
To put it another way: If one does not know their box is full, how do they know to look in here?

Some folks don't operate the boards through their email. So email notifications of full boxes are of no use. If they're cruising through the threads, using the Lit panel and see this thread bump to the top, they can see if someone's trying to reach them.

If this doesn't help, PM me.

My box isn't full...yet.
