There is division in both parties.
The penny production cost started exceeding a penny's value in 2006. Any of the previous presidents since 2006 could have ordered the Mint to stop penny production, like it stopped production of the half penny and various other coins. Nobody cared enough to do that until Trump did it. Many more actions that previous presidents didn't bother doing will be necessary. One obvious cost cut is the nickel, which also costs more than it is worth.

I forgot many of my votes in three decades of voting. If Trump is remembered as a hero, greatest president ever, etc., some members here may forget they voted for other candidates. They may need help remembering their votes.
