Twin convo on Fet makes me giggle my happy lil ass off.
Gods, I love her.
Also finally, finally having some damned words that sounded and felt...RIGHT.
*biggest grin ever*

The Boy Scouts might be days away from dropping their national ban on millions of human beings.

As good as this is... still, fuck them. Fuck them right in their stupid eyehole. It's 2013. Get your head out of the damned Iron Age and join the rest of the civilized world, you useless fucks. So ridiculous that it has taken this long.

Hey, I'm just happy they are moving into the 20th century.
Sure, its now the 21st century, but in my experience, inbred isolationist groups don't change quickly.

It just pisses me off that they'll do this, and then talk about how inclusive they're being and want everyone to praise them for it.

That, and the fact that there will be parents upset about it because their kid might have to sit next to someone that will get some of their gay on them.

You mean, they are behaving exactly the same way as, say, the catholic church?

Indeed.

Although I wonder if even the Boy Scouts would be dumb enough to deny women procedures because they believe a fetus to be a person, and then try to get out of a malpractice case by claiming a fetus isn't a person. That took some big Popey balls.

Well, in the hospital's defense, you really are supposed to say anything you need to say to defend yourself. Its really the lawyers who lie and go to hell. Also, catholics can confess and get out of jail free (metaphysical jail, that is).
It's not shocking that they'd do it, but it's clearly going to hurt their standing in (reasonable) people's eyes when they try to argue the strict pro-life position now.

What REALLY took Popey balls was when some of the church officials came out and blamed the children for being so sexy that the priests HAD to rape them.

To be fair, those kids were pretty clearly asking for it. Running around flaunting their innocence and susceptibility to authority figures. They should've known!

My nephew's learning to play a djembe!

Making me smile today: I'm about halfway through one of these, and going to send it to said nephew. He's going to love it. :D

I'm a beginner myself.

Ooh cute hat you're making!
I'm sure your nephew will love it.

He's really interested in learning about marine life, right now, so when I saw it I knew I had to make him one. :)

Just hope I'm making it big enough - I scaled it down, because the one-size-fits all looked big...and now I'm a little worried.

No, no it won't. In a week it'll be forgotten.

Until the next instance of a woman dying because a hospital refused to do a procedure on her that would kill the fetus but save her life (just as the Savita Halappanavar case was mentioned in connection with this one). It'll also be back in the news once the case is decided. And, at least for now, even Catholic Deacons are talking about it.
