Cars don't matter but that doesn't mean they aren't fun to drive! I see it as rather like clothes shopping...they're fun to try on to see how they look but that doesn't mean you really want it or plan to take it home.

I have never known about this till this month actually, I must have missed Catalina's thread too because I saw it for the first time on CollarMe and was very very confused.
And I'm not sure how I feel about it.
But it isn't expected of me, so *shrug* whatever makes people happy.

edit: I totally understand the car thing.
I wouldn't mind finding one in my drive way for being an extra good little subbie. Classic Mustang though... please ... in blue of course and don't skimp on the power.

This car thing is somewhat of a mystery to me; I mean, I like my car, it's cute, safe, solid and gets me where I'm going (with about 100 of my closest friends) but as far as being an extension of my personality and all souped or hot rodded or something, I just don't get it.

I am not sure if I'm making up for lack of something either. I drive my '88 Fiero 4 cylinder with no a/c here in the desert just fine. But, it gets around 33 miles to the gallon! The truck is parked until I get a radiator for it and the buggy still isn't streetlegal. Besides if I start it the neighbors all come out to see what is going on.
