Tick tock - Tik Tok

So 47 is proposing government control of a private company

Is he buying Lit next?

Going on a month of ignoring the law.

I saw a new commercial lobbying for tik Tok today. I'm curious if they will air it during the big game or not.

I haven't yet seen Congress moving to repeal the law either.

The Art of No Deal 😄

Trump extends TikTok deadline a third time

It is the third time Trump has extended the deadline. The first one was through an executive order on Jan. 20, his first day in office, after the platform went dark briefly when a national ban — approved by Congress and upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court — took effect. The second was in April when White House officials believed they were nearing a deal to spin off TikTok into a new company with U.S. ownership that fell apart after China backed out following Trump’s tariff announcement.

Donnie will certainly make a deal in “two weeks”.

Worthwhile to resurrect this thread. Our President is ignoring the law completely. His Executive Order has no legal basis.

And Congress apparently won't uphold their own law.

It has been 463 days since the law was passed that outlawed Tik Tok in the United States.

The current administration has failed to enforce the law for over 6 months.

474 days since the Tik Tok ban was signed into law.

The law has never been enforced

Interestingly enough, the President still has failed to comply with the law regarding tikTok.

They announced some sort of deal months ago, but still are in violation of the law.

SCOTUS doesn’t make policy; it interprets law. The case will turn on whether the statute authorizing action against TikTok (and by extension, forcing divestiture) is constitutional as applied and whether the government’s interest in national security justifies that action. Many constitutional decisions provoke public anger, Roe v. Wade being the obvious example, but popularity doesn’t determine constitutionality. If the Court upholds the law as a legitimate national security measure with clear statutory authority and due process, many people will accept it even if they dislike it personally. As for backlash, SCOTUS decisions are insulated (by design) from public pressure. What matters in the legal world is text, structure, and precedent, not popularity polls as we saw in Roe.

The law is clear.
The President has not enforced the law.

Benjamin Netanyahu's close personal friend, Zionist centiBillionaire Larry Ellison, finalized a purchase of 45% of TikTok last Thursday. With the purchase, Ellison leapfrogged over Amazon's Jeff Bezos to become the third richest man in America.

Ellison's purchase gives the criminal Zionist regime in Israel editorial control of TikTok, the last remaining social media company in America that was not subject to Israeli content restrictions.

Israel had control over every social media algorithm in the English speaking world EXCEPT TikTok.

TikTok was owned by the Chinese government, and Israel's Mossad could not terrorize the Chinese government into banning pro-Palestinian content. TikTok allowing videos that ran contrary to the Israeli narrative are one of the prime reason nobody believes or trust anything from the Israeli government today.

Ellison is a hardcore Zionist who actively supports the rape and murder and starvation of innocent Muslims in the middle east. He is an ethnic Jew who does not practice the Jewish faith but flies the Star of David as a "flag of convenience".

Ellison has been the primary supporter of Marco Rubio for over a decade. He gave nominal support to Donald Sundown in exchange for Marco Rubio being named Secretary of State (Billionaire Peter Thiel did the same thing with JD Vance, btw).

Israel is expected to ruthlessly censor any and all TikTok video content critical of Israel's upcoming ethnic cleansing pogrom in the West Bank, which is expected to begin in late spring.

Do you understand how China and Russia work on influencing and why?

My guess is that you don't.

Hint: it's not military intelligence...it's people and politics
No American is going to turn Maoist because of TikTok influence.

Ok, so the deal is still not finalized, meaning that the Executive Branch is still not enforcing the law.

This screed reads less like a fact-based analysis and more like a conspiracy theory checklist. Ownership stakes in companies don’t translate into editorial control overnight, especially for a platform like TikTok, which is subject to complex regulations and multiple layers of oversight.

For some reason, you could honestly say that, nowadays, about a lot of accurate fact-based descriptions of political reality -- but only on the RW side.
