IC: Bennett Kraft
"Knowledge can be a dangerous thing, Ms. Stone," He said taking her hand and they began walking on the sidewalk down the street towards her car. a They walked holding hands."Sometimes it's best to...what's the expression...that ignorance being like bliss?"
They came up to one of this era's uniformed peacekeepers and Bennett waited silently as she spoke with him about the two suspects that had attacked congressman Henney. Finally officer patted the top of the vehicle and motioned them on their way.
Sam directed the car away from the hotel. Once they got a few streets between them and it Sam asked, “How the hell did you get out of my handcuffs anyways, Kraft?"
"You should be glad I did, Ms. Stone."
"I’m grateful you did," She admitted, "But now I’m curious.”
"I should probably give you back these, though they are pretty useless at their supposed function now." He reached into his jacket pocket and held out for her handcuffs-what remained of them. They were bent and broken now. Fortunately while Hex was offline the nanomolecular circuitry fibers in his muscles seemed to work upgrading his strength and stamina, he could only hope he had some nanomeds still functioning in his blood, or else he was probably breathing in his death in germs right now. He added after she looked at the steel scraps that use to be her wrist restraints, "I'm alot stronger than most would credit me, Sam."
He put them in his lap saying, "Now it's my turn for a question. What did Henney tell you before I arrived?"
