The democrats goal is political assassination, not dictionary literal. Of course that is the goal in any political contest, eliminate your opponent. What is at issue is how far you'll go to achieve those ends and what are the possible consequences of your actions?

American politics is rife with such attempted "assassinations" and the consequences thereof. Take a look at the presidential campaigns of 1824, the consequences of which became manifest in 1828. Or the campaigns of 1860.

Further, there is nothing new in the weaponization of the US justice system. What is new is the severity and blatancy. Previous efforts were subtle, this is blunt force.

No. The AMERICAN PUBLIC's goal is JUSTICE. Nothing more. Not political assassination, not literal execution.

Why should ANYONE be above the law, simply because he is wealthy and/or powerful? Lets face it, if Trump was just a normal bloke you would be lecturing out of your high chair about how he deserves prison for his crimes.

If he was a DEMOCRAT who had committed even HALF of the infractions Trump has, you'd be screaming "Lock him up! Lock him up!" (Just like you did for Hillary Clinton and Anthony Fauci. Come on, let's be honest here, for just this one time.)

Nobody should be above the law. Regardless of his political party or whether he was president or not. And most decent, real Americans know this. And they are sick and tired of the way Trump seems to always skirt the consequences of his illegal (and quite frankly, treasonous) behavior. It is not a political "Weaponization of justice," like you wish to pretend it is. Rather it is holding people accountable for their crimes against American Democracy, against the Tax code, and against the written legal code. Just like you wanted Clinton held accountable, and just like you wanted Hunter Biden held accountable.
