Well, hello, Cathleen!! How are you? I'm online again (AGAIN) and was just checking with all my old friends - you were one of the first people I thought of, and this was your last post.

I just recently read an article in a waiting room entitled "50 Ways to Improve Your Life" and one of them happened to be, "begin a philosophical study." Apparently over 95% of people that study philosophy because of a personal interest consider themselves happy. It simply struck me because it's something that's good for me that I'm already doing ... who knew I might possess some common sense out there?

Anyway, I was wondering if you ever took the time to read any Maimonides. And if not, I'm sure you're continuing the philosophy conversation in another way or another thread, so please let me know if I could make a momentary contribution to your conversation anytime.

Today, I read an email from my parent's dear friend from when I was a little girl back on the island. He called me Sailboat. Gosh, I have not heard that in ages. He would never call me by my given name, but always Sailboat.

Is it not a wonderful thing to get taken back to your childhood by just a nickname?
