My students think I should take my show on the road. Several parents told me that their kids talk about me every day........that could be good or bad. All of the parents know at least one of my favorite phrases.

Yesterday I met a parent who has me beat. She's also a teacher and didn't make it to the first conference. She had the entire 8th grade floor in stitches.

I sometimes perform at restaurants. If the place has pictures of people on the walls, I'll pick one and start giving the history of the person. I'm talking only to my companion, but eventually everyone listens. I add just enough local history to my story to make the story believable......fortunately dinner arrives and I stop.

Today I have good news and bad news to report from the vet's office.

Good news-to clean my cat's teeth will cost $340.00 (blood work, anesthesia, etc.)

Bad news-someone anonymously dropped off a puppy on it's death bed inside a plastic tub outside the vet office with a note "I'm a sick puppy who can't afford veterinary care."

Me too Baby D, me too. I guess the thing that gets me, is why didn't they get the puppy to the vet sooner than this. They couldn't afford to care for it at the beginning and let the baby suffer like that...karma payback will be a bitch for some people.
