Tonight's Haiku

“We’re still young at heart.”
Fifty years. Fifty degree
Lake. Fishing?!? Idjits!

Is this another one of those "guess how I got this haiku from" thingys? :D

Glynndah's back, we're back
where's it gonna go this time?
Lakes are wet places.

I prefer inscrutable to go along with the "haiku" theme.

My husband and a bunch of his friends have been fishing together every spring for over 25 years. They used to fish in mid-March (in blizzards sometimes!). The date has gradually worked its way back to the first weekend in May. However, this year most of the guys are 50 or older and want to regress back to their glory days and prove they've still got it, so they're all fishing this weekend, too. The weather is supposed to be no warmer than 50 in the afternoon and almost freezing at night. Hence, my haiku. Simple, really.

Their emails back and forth planning this thing have been very funny. I had a thread on the GB a week or so ago. "Naked Chinese Girls, French Poodles, St. Patrick ...and a Nurse Standing By."

This repentant one apologizes,
to the pretty witch, for my frivolous prior post,
Sense of humor, fractured.

Just great, pretty witch.

How are things with you? :rose:

I haven't done many Haiku's, but I am willing to learn.

We need some cultcha here in the AH. :D

A rather unpleasant night, but I'm doing much better today. And I had to google "haiku". Cat eatmite medicine just required it, you know.

Sorry to hear of your unpleasant night.

But I'm glad things are ok today. :)

Haiku's are really cool. Spent a 1/2 semester on 'em in College.

You can say a lot with a few words.

I remember putting earmite medicine on/in my cats.

If I forget, I have the scars to remind me. :D

Yes, now that One drop on the back of their neck stuff takes care of it. Some challenges we really don't need. Some guy was on the radio the other day trying to convince "responsible pet owners" to brush their cats' teeth. I laughed so hard I had to pull over!

Brush a cat's teeth? What a maroon!

I would rather clean my chain saw's blade while it's running.

I bet that 'expert's' got some neato scars. :D

And bad haiku. Sorry.

Trying to convince
the nurse to wear a skimpy
costume. Dream on, guys!

I’m waiting for the
French poodles; the Chinese girls.
St. Patrick? Easy.

Guys? Convince? Now that's a dream.
Lake wet, dry, no dif.

:D

No need for bare nurse,
or even skimpily clad,
just soaked nurse's whites.
