Tonight's Haiku

And that pretty much says it all. :)

This should be posted on Lit's home page.

*blushes* Thank you. It's Lit, after all. Naughty bits had to be brought in here somewhere.

My nocturnal Haiku drifts,
softer than a moth's wing,
into the velvety darkness. :)

Nice one, sweetie. More ethereal than mine.

Thank you, o captivating wytch. :rose:

But yours is so...earthy and raw...so fitting for this forum.

A newbie writes here
A haiku in Glynndah's thread
Hoping it pleases.

I blame slyc_willie. He started... er.... inspired it.

Why am I not surprised by that? ;)

Wow, I feel another Haiku coming on...

Love unrequited, sears the soul utterly
A flame that burns, consuming and devouring
Leaving naught but a husk, a shell, a void

Oh what happy day
Heels eighty-one, Spartans less
Go to Sweet Sixteen

Joy in Blue Heaven
Woe and despair in Blue Hell
Seppuku watch on

Edited for Ed

I'm no poet, and certainly not a good writer of haikus, but you have a good one here, if I may, that might be good true haiku, or nearly so. If I may:

Nocturnal haiku
drifts softer than a moth's wing.
Velvety darkness.

It's the first basic 5-7-5 syllable rule. The last line is supposed to be sort of apart from the rest, but having something to do with weather, or season's I think. Anyone out there feel free to correct me. I just thought this one was nice. :rose:

Why thank you, mismused.

It is a marked improvement over my scribbling.

See what a good editor can do for you? :D
