A Taiwanese man became a sitting target for a snake, which bit his penis as he sat on the toilet at his rural home.

"As soon as he sat down, he suddenly felt a knife-like pain and reacted instinctively by standing up," the China Times said. "When he looked down, he saw the big snake."

The man from Nantou County in Taiwan was taken to hospital and was being treated for infection.

The reptile, believed to be a type of rat snake, was pulled out of the toilet

The Haskell Free Library and Opera House holds the unusual distinction of having its stage in a different country to the audience - it straddles the USA/Canada border, so the singers are performing in Quebec to an audience sitting in Vermont.

The crow's nest of a ship is so called because, in the early days of seafaring, crows were kept atop the mast as a navigational tool in case of bad weather - the sea-hating birds would always head straight for land.

The ancient Greek colonial city of Sybaris had their plumbing priorities in the right place. They are said to have had pipelines that brought wine from the countryside vineyards directly into the city and their homes.

The Greeks of Alexandria knew that air expanded as it was heated, and Philo of Byzantium, who was alive at the time of the birth of Christ, made a 'thermoscope' that must have been very like Galileo's air thermometer. But it was Galileo who, in 1592, was the first to put a scale beside the tube. This at once converted the device into a scientific instrument and made it possible to distinguish between temperature and heat. The study of heat as a form of energy depended on this distinction

Central heating appears to have been invented in ancient Greece, but it was the Romans who became the supreme heating engineers of the ancient world with their hypocaust system*. Central heating was adopted for use again in the early 19th century when the Industrial Revolution caused an increase in the size of buildings for industry, residential use, and services.

*just a personal note, it's actually really fascinating to see a house dated from the first century CE with a central heating installed in the floors. Pure genius.

Searching the internet after being told that a friend read several articles on the product, I discovered some very strange information and facts...

The question is, would you buy this for your lover, husband or wife? Or anyone else for that matter...

Dubbed jokingly as "eau de twatlette" this product is saleable on the market.

Yes, it really is vaginal scent, or atleast, it's supposed to be. But investigation shows it's not meant to be worn as a "perfume or aftershave". The scent is actually supposed to be a stimulant.

The instructions make this clear... apply to the back of your hand, and sniff.

It isn't what is described as an "odor cue", a scent that is worn to make people socially acceptable, in other words, a fragrance to be worn to put it simply.

Apparently this product is supposed to work like an ecto-hormone, which promotes pheromonal attractions, then again this is disputed by many of it's trial users, describing it as exotic to absolutely disgusting. That I suppose depends upon individual taste.

So basically...

The product itself is made in Germany and sold worldwide. The company however, I will not mention because of spamming... has a promotional website name that is based upon the words "smell me and cum".

And that is what it is what this producted is promoted to do. You smell it, entice your erotic fantasies and eventually... cum. So can this product be a "scratch and sniff" type of aid to masturbation?

A photon of light....

Photons of light released by nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium in the core of the Sun can take upto 2 million years to travel from the core to the surface, then leaves the sun as light. In other words, the light we think is only 8.33 minutes old (how long light takes to travel the 93 million miles to Earth) is in fact about 2 million years old.
