Stupid Lawsuits...

A robber sued the bank, the manufacturer, the city, the police, and the hospital after a "Security Pac" hidden in the stolen loot released tear gas and red dye.

or ever white with black strips

Giddyup:

Ford let the Mustang out of the stable in 1964, and within the first 18 months of sales, over 1 million cars were sold.

Steve McQueen drove the 1968 390 Fastback in the movie Bullitt.

The "Bullitt" edition Mustang was available for the 2001 model year, with a few special upgrades...mainly suspension.

Stupid Laws...

Portland, ME., makes it illegal to tickle a girl under the chin with a feather duster.

In Racine, WS., it is illegal to wake a fireman when he is asleep.

More dumb laws...I wonder if any of them are enforced :D

In Athens, Greece, a driver's license can be lifted by the law if the driver is deemed either "poorly dressed" or "unbathed."

It is against the law to whale hunt in Oklahoma :D

You've got to be kidding...

According to a British law passed in 1845, attempting to commit suicide was a capital offense. Offenders could be hanged for trying.

These seem too stupid to be true...

In Fairbanks, Alaska it is illegal for a moose to walk on the side walk. This dates back to the early days if the town when the owner of the bar had a pet moose that he used to get drunk. The moose would then stumble around the town drunk. The only way the law makers could prevent this from happening was to create the law so the moose could not cross the sidewalk and get into the bar.

In Ohio, the law states that it is illegal to get a fish drunk. Apparently, the “drinks like a fish” saying doesn’t apply to the marine life in this region...so you can give a carp or a trout the worm, but you better drink the bottle of tequila all by yourself!

UK laws that WILL get you in trouble:

- All English males over the age 14 are to carry out 2 or so hours of longbow practice a week supervised by the local clergy!

- It is illegal to be drunk in a pub or bar.

- Any boy under the age of 10 may not see a naked mannequin.

- In Scotland it is illegal to be a drunk in possession of a cow.

UK laws that WON"T get you into trouble:

- It is legal for a male to urinate in public, as long it is on the rear wheel of his motor vehicle and his right hand is on the vehicle.

- In Chester you can only shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow inside the city walls and after midnight.

- In Hereford you may not shoot a Welsh person on Sunday with a longbow in the Cathedral Close

- In York, excluding Sundays, it is perfectly legal to shoot a Scotsman with a bow and arrow.

- It is legal for a male to urinate in public, as long it is on the rear wheel of his motor vehicle and his right hand is on the vehicle.

So are we betting that a GUY came up with this one? One who's peed outside on many occasions, perhaps? :D

The list just goes on and on...

Pennsylvania law prohibits a man from buying alcohol without a note of permission from his wife.

Texas law states that no person can consume more than three sips of beer at a time if they are standing up.

In Iowa, it’s illegal to start a tab at a bar.

Thanks to the U.S. Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act, an underage student studying abroad is forbidden from drinking alcohol, even if they are in a country where they meet the drinking age requirements. I'm guessing this one isn't enforced!

More stupid laws...

In Colorado:
* In Pueblo, it is illegal to let a dandelion grow within city limits.

* In Durango, it is illegal to go out in public dressed in clothing "unbecoming" one's sex.

* In Logan County, it is illegal for a man to kiss a woman while she is asleep.

In Arizona:

* Any misdemeanor committed while wearing a red mask is considered a felony. This goes back in the days of the Wild West.

In Kansas:
* It is illegal for restaurants to sell cherry pie a la mode on Sundays.

* In Wichita, a man's mistreatment of his mother-in-law may not be used as grounds for divorce.

* In Natoma, it is illegal to throw a knife at anyone wearing a striped shirt.

I heard that this one stems from the horse and carriage days, from that position he cannot be seen from the sidewalk and therefore not 'exposing' himself.
The theory doesn't seem to work on a 6 lane highway :)

Makes you wonder who comes up with theses.

Here's another one:

In Hong Kong a woman is legally allowed to kill her cheating husband, only if she uses her bare hands. The husband's lover however may be killed in any manner desired.

And some more...

In Clarendon, TX., it is illegal to dust any public building with a feather duster.....

In Borger, TX., it is against the law to throw confetti, rubber balls, feather dusters, whips or quirts (riding crop), and explosive firecrackers of any kind.

Georgia law provides that it is a misdemeanor for any citizen to attend church worship on Sunday unless he is equipped with a rifle and it is loaded.

It is contrary to Pennsylvania law to discharge a gun, cannon, revolver or other explosive weapon at a wedding.

In Fort Madison, IA., the fire department is required to practice fire fighting for fifteen minutes before attending a fire. WHAT?

A Chicago law forbids eating in a place that is on fire.

San Francisco prohibits elephants from strolling down Market Street unless they are on a leash.

In Normal, IL., it is against the law to make faces at dogs.

Hartford, CT., makes it illegal to educate dogs.

A couple more crazy doq laws...

In Paulding, OH., a policeman may bite a dog to quiet him.

A law passed in Denver says that the dog catcher must notify dogs of impounding by posting, for three consecutive days, a notice on a tree in the city park and along a public road running through said park.

According to the World Canine Organization FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale), there are approximately 400 recognized breeds of dog worldwide.

However, there is some contention about this. Various kennel clubs recognize different breeds. and all "purebreds" are, in reality, derived from mixed-breed dog populations, complicating the issue further.
