Oh, this is a hard game.

1. "Bleeding Me" ~ Metallica
2. "Jolene" ~ Dolly Parton
3. "Back That Ass Up" ~ Juvenile
4. "Dolphins Cry" ~Live

Of course, there are 4 or 5 songs behind each of those that I like just as well. :p
I am a very well rounded individual. :D

~K:kiss:

1. Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright

2. It's Not Easy To Be Me - Five For Fighting

3. The Rainbow Connection - Kermit the Frog

Hmmmm...............

"The Ripper" by Judas Priest
"Another Girl's Paradise" by Tori Amos
"Honour" by VNV Nation

Subject to change as favorites shift and change with my moods. These are the three that have best survived repeated playings and best deal with any heavy emotion shift.

Oooh, this is tough. I've been putting off answering, apart from Shocky's silly answer.

Here's my serious list (all from the 80's), but I'm sure it will change:

1. Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
2. Sweet Dreams - Eurythmics.
3. Every Breath You Take - Police.
4. Under Pressure - Queen (I had to sneak one Queen song in).

Hmmm, maybe we should've done this by the decade.

Lou

Eternal Flame -The Bangles
More than Words -Extreme
Lets get rocked -Def Leppard

Least that is it for now..the top two will always be there but that last one will change and change and change *L*

I agree with Lou this should have been the top three from every decade you've been alive! lol

My three:

1. There I go again - Vinx
2. Sweet Dreams- Eurythmics
3. All I want to do is Make love to you-( Dunno if that's the title or who sung it? Queen? )

Plenty more as I read through everyones lists.

My top three -

"Wonderful World" by Satchmo (my funeral song, but not anytime soon thanks)

"Deacon Blue" by Steely Dan (have to respect a band named after a steam-driven dildo)

Barber's "Addagio for strings" (choral version)

Just missing out were any number of songs by Springsteen, Billy Joel, Melissa Etheridge, Hall & Oates, George Michael, Beach Boys.

Sensual - I believe the song you're referring to there is by the "oops-I'm-getting-larger-by-the-second" duo Heart. Came out in the late 80s I think.

Have you noticed how there aren't many repeated favourites, which only goes to prove how individual we really are?

What I like, and why I keep changing, is reading the lists reminds me of ones I've forgotten, so I'll be changing again sooner or later.

A Grand Don't Come For Free (title track of Streets album)
What is the title track? My CD doesn't have one titled as the album. Anyone?

My bad.

"It was supposed to be so easy."

(one of the lines in the song is "A grand don't come for free.")

Hmmm, I think I've gotta change mine again, having just seen Robbie Williams sing Angels on Jonathon Ross. God, I love that song, I hadn't heard it in a while.

Cealy, yep you're right, we should do this by the decade! :)

The trouble with doing it by the decade Lou, is that you're limiting yourself to each given decade. That's why I eventually decided on people's top three, I mean most people will remember their favourite song or two of all time. You try remembering songs from the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties. I'll guarantee that people will think up the songs, but from the wrong decades.

Carl

LOL if you span many decades they all run together and you begin to wonder, what decade they origionally came out.

If I were to do it by decade it would be:
50's - anything by Buddy Holly
60's - almost anything (wasn't born until the end!)
70's- Bay City Rollers! ( I was just a kid be nice!)
80's- Oh man too many to remember, Eagles, Air Supply, Queen, Meatloaf, Zappa, Pink Floyd, madonna, etc.
90's+,- Madonna again, Matchbox twenty, Nickleback, (its too early to think!) Lots lots more!

Sorry Carl, had to do it! lol

Yeah, but I bet you checked the dates before submitting. lol

Carl

Sorry Carl I didn't, thought of them off the top of my head, that's why some may be wrong, and did you notice the last one that said 90's + . I did it that way because Im not sure what ones came out in the 90's and the 2000's.
I know thats cheating, but thats what life is all about! lol
