Seriously, whoever is doing this and whatever, precisely, they are doing, it's got to be one of the most pathetic, petty things that one could do. Pond-scum-level lowness. I cannot imagine the satisfaction one could get from doing it.

Petty? Sure. Pathetic, pond-scum-level? Eh... I don't know how to write this kind of script, but I assume writing any given script like this only takes a few minutes once you know how. For a few minutes' time, they created something that spawned 400+ comments in this thread alone? Plus no doubt other discussions here and there, and whatever effect on readership the rankings have? That's hilarious. It's like that Banksy art with a shredder built into the frame or something.

The person is a former lit author, successful but so successful they were bombed off all the top lists by jealous authors who had nowhere near his skill and they hated him for it. Tired of getting no response from the site and having his work repeatedly beaten down by petty envious and talentless lit trolls, he pulls his work from the site.

But revenge is a dish best served cold and he waits, and he waits until all have forgotten him, and then he unleashes his script. Never, and he means never! Will an author see a score of over 4.84, which is the score all his stories were bombed down to. Never will he allow someone to have a 4.9 or spend more than an hour in a top spot.

He is reading this thread, he is cackling with malicious glee at the gnashing of teeth and handwringing. Look at them whine, look at them coming up with conspiracies and arguing among themselves! Look at how they overeact at seeing their scores drop! Suffer as I suffered Muahahahahhahahahahahah

He is petty, he is bitter, he has suffered losses here but all that matters now is...
