Treasure Island

Robert Phoenix

Asthe others went to the shelter, Robert still sat by the fire, gazing dreamily at the stars, the guitar slung around his shoulders. He had listened to the last words with only one ear. Now his mind was wandering.
After a while, fingers started to pluck the guitar's strings, and the melody of Greensleeves rose into the night.
Suddenly he stopped and turned to Gaia with an apologetic look on his face.
"Oh er...I'm sorry. You'll want to sleep..."

Maggie:

Something about Gaia fascinated me. But she was right, we were all tired. I did wonder where her mother went. It only added to the mystery surrounding this island. I was beginning to think that the island wasn't as 'stranded' as we first thought it to be.

ok, no more of this damn forgeting the thread. ALRIGHT?

as robert began to strum his guitar, i closed my eyes, i pulled my knees up to my chest and draped my arms over them. i opened my eyes and began to stare in wonder at him. he looked over, embarassed he caught me staring, he apologizes. "no...no...keep playing...please." i said. "i wish i could play as beautifully." i, myself, was instructed with a small 'flute' by my father. one in which i keep along, but have never played in front of anyone besides him. i didn't reveal this to robert. but watched intently as the flames fo the fire danced over his hair, and showed their daring reflections in his eyes. i locked eyes with him as he played.

Cassie

With Kel's chest pressed against my back, and his arms around me, the night didn't seem so cold. I lay there in his arms listening to Robert play his guitar. The last few days had been pretty intence, it was nice to be on solid ground again, but I couldn't help but wonder what tomorrow would bring.

Robert

Robert made an embarassed cough, hoping that Gaia wouldn't notice him blushing in the darkness.
He had been called a good player before, but not quite in that way...
He began to play again, losing himself into the sad, sweet Irish melody...and losing himself into Gaia'a eyes, shining in the dark night.

gaia

i noticed his cheeks taking on a flushed color. all i could think was how completely different and exotic he was. i shifted myself so i sat closer to the fire. i leaned back on my hands, never breaking eye contact. it was a sign of respect, and i couldn't break eye contact if i could. in the distance a growl filled the air, without adaquite shelter, we were sitting ducks. i got up, quickly taking abundle of our quickly dwindling fire wood, and set it on the outskirts of the jungle. lighting a branch i ignited it, i quickly did the same at the back of the 'tent' i hurriedly walked back to a curiousity stricken daniel. i sat next to him, my eyes calm, but wild. i sat closer this time. again i resumed my huddled position against my knees. i faced towards him, catching his gaze one last time, then allowed my eyes to close, my head tilted in his direction, i just listened.

Robert Phoenix

ooc: why do you insist on callling me Daniel? ;)

ic:
Robert swallowed as Gaia sat down again, close enough for him to feel her body warmth.
Glad that she had her eyes closed, and couldn't see the eat in his face, Robert started playing again...not a memorized piece this time, instead he just let his fingers play upon his guitar's strings, letting his thoughts become music--slow, dreamy music, with a tinge of mystery, adventure, and passion...

actually i dont know

i don't realize i am doing it......im soooooo incredibly sorry. ROBERT ROBERT ROBERT ROBERT. k. im sooooo sorry.

i began to fall asleep. the music drumming in my ears, my body involuntarily shivered, the nights here became incredibly cold. ice could be seen formed upon the leaves from the morning dew. (it isn't morning, just explaining) my hands limply began to hook together where i had them linked. my arms relaxed my breathing becoming deep. i was awoken when ROBERT stopped playing, he was putting his guitar away. i looked up and stretched a bit. i smiled at him. "you look tired, go and sleep, i can keep watch."

Robert

Robert blinked. He had lost all sense of time, but now that his playing had stopped, his eyelids were very heavy. Stifling a yawn, he said
"Yes er...thank you, Gaia. I guess i'll eally take some sleep"
He opened his mouth again as if to say something, but as he looked into her eyes, he just stared, his face flushing..then he suddenly noticed how foolish he must look, snd lay down on the ground...not far away from gaia, though.
"Goodnight, Gaia..."

Maggie:

I awoke suddenly; I needed the loo. Then I remembered where I was and groaned.

I saw that Gaia was still awake, and so approached her, rather embarrassingly.

'Gaia, is it ok if you accompany me to the woods? I need to relieve myself and I don't want to be alone out there.'

I waited for her response. Robert was there too, and I blushed. This was really embarrassing.

gaia

he was so handsome. i told myself to stop it. i quickly turned as i heard someone or something approach. i grabbed for my knife, then i realized it was only maggie. i put it away and got up after she told me her predicament. she seemed embarrassed. "follow me." i said sweetly. "stay close." she followed me, almost right on my heels. she was so beautiful, all these people, with their fair skin and odd clothing were beautiful just to look at. i walked over to a bush, i picked up a stick and poked around the bush. "this isn't probably what you are used to, but we can't go too far into the jungle." she took the cue, and i walked away a bit. not too far. "alright." i heard her yell. i walked towards her, she met me half way. we continued to walk back towards camp, everyone was peacefully sleeping, robert seemed to have fallen asleep on the hard ground in front of the fire. i took off the shirt that they had loaned me and i rolled it into a ball, placing it under his head. i smiled over at her, "you better get some sleep. don't worry about waking up, i'll do all of the important tasks in the after noon. i sat back down by the fire.

(you can choose not to go to sleep and talk to her, it doesn't matter really. but morning will come soon.)

OOC: I guess if we ALL sleep then nothing's going to happen, at least for now.

Maggie:

I lay back down on the hard ground; this was even harder than I thought. It was amazing that I had fell asleep earlier. Now it would take a miracle for me to do so. After what seems like almost half an hour, I get up and see Gaia; she seems to be still awake.

'Gaia?' I called out softly.

"yes?" i turn around, trying to see through the darkness who it was.

Maggie:

'Oh nothing really, I just can't get to sleep.' I said, as I approached her figure in the dark. As I looked at her in the dark, I realised for the first time that she had a very attractive figure, and the mysterious aura about her only serves to fuel more of that attractiveness.

'Since we're probably going to stay here for awhile, maybe you could tell me more about this place?' I asked.

Kel

Awwww... I had to reply. ~L~ Don't cry Cassie sweetie. Me will be back soon. TWO more exams to go...

Be back soon.

Kel

I sat up and ran my hand over the back of my neck, stiff from resting on the not-so-pillow-like log. I half-heartedly tried to rub the blur out of my eyes - guess I must have fallen asleep... - Blinking a few more times as my vision cleared, I licked my dry lower lip and fumbled around in the dark...

"Cassie?"

OOC: Ok... I'm back. Hope there's still someone around. :)

i thought we all fell into a pit...or...something...

Im all for this, if everyone is still around...

from maggie's last post...I'll revive this...

Gaia:
Finally a figure began to take shape, I believe it is the one they call Maggie. Sitting down by the fire, I glanced over at Robert. Then I looked around, I began cursing in my dialect after I burnt myself when I poked at the fire, an ember singed my arm. I felt so alone, and now all of these people. I didn't know how or what to do with them. "This is a main jungle, from what my....father.." i had to struggle to get his name out. "he told me we are off of a Continent called, Au-st-ra-l-ia." I said pronouncing the word. "this island hasn't seen anybody, or any boats, since my father had gotten on here somehow. and now...you all." I tore a piece of my sarong off to cover the burn, no matter how minor, Disease was strong here. I looked down at her hands. White like the insides of coconuts, and perfect, no imperfections lie over them. I looked at my own, frowning. Trying to hide them, I was amazed by her clothing also. So different than my own.

Cassie

I felt Kel moving around in the dark, then heard him whisper, "Cassie?" I reached out and found his arm in the dark and pulled him closer to me.

"I'm right here," I whispered back.

Kel

"Hey, gorgeous." I whispered back into her ear, the warmth of my breath a welcomed distraction for Cassie.

Sitting up a little, I wrapped my arms around Cassie, at the same time planting gentle kiss on her neck. As cliched as it may be, if there was anyone to be stranded on a tropically island on, Cassie would have to be the one.

"...since my father had gotten on here somehow. and now...you all" said Gaia, as she tore a bit of her sarong off to cover the wound on her hand.

"How's the hand?"

GAIA

I jumped a bit, I was being so trivial. "it is fine, Stupid STUPID mistake. I know better than that." A reddish glow began to eminate from the sky.

Kel

"I can have a look at it if you'd like. I'm umm... a medical student." I said, at the same time wondering whether she'd have any idea what I was going on about.

With one arm still wrapped tightly around Cassie, I offered out an opened hand to Gaia.
